Kilometres:

You don't say.

Ajimobi is actually the best except for his loud mouth.... the only issue Ajimobi had was that he talks to people any how like a typical Ibadan man.

Ajimobi introduced a lot of reforms in education, health, transportation (Ajumose), roads (mokola bridge n co.) ... Makinde is building on those transformations.

This was why Ajimobi became the first governor to break the two-term barrier

GSM is doing well in road infrastructure and has done a lot on agriculture and security.

Unfortunately, he didn’t continue with Ajimobi's reforms in secondary education. It would have been wonderful if he built on it. He has done well with more developments in tertiary education.

Aww! Beautiful and peaceful Ovuleria.
I remember happily the New Masquerade years. Entertaining and educative series.
May her soul rest in peace.

BTW who knows where one can watch those interesting TV series of the past? Like New Masquerade, Checkmate, Fuji House of Commotion, Winds Against My Soul etc
Travel / Re: The Video Of Aba To Port Harcourt Train by delpee(f): 1:23pm On May 08
It's like they gathered old coaches here and there and joined together. Wondering why they couldn't refurbish and repaint them before use. At least the engine is working. The Lagos-Ibadan coaches advertise Indomie and are so painted. Another organisation can do the same for the Aba-PH coaches. NRC MD should put on his thinking cap.

It's true bro.. Even tho the op didn't mention thier real names, I know the person in question personally

I hope he has recovered and moved on with his life. If not, encourage him to go for counselling. Mental health is very important. He needs love, care and assurance of a better future emotionally.
Very sad indeed.

When Palestine agrees to a two state solution, there'll be peace. Insisting that Israel must not exist will lead nowhere.
Politics / Re: Eminent Northerners To Tinubu: Reject Bid To Site US, French Bases In Nigeria by delpee(f): 12:06pm On May 04
We don't need their bases. They were not able to prevent terrorism in Niger or curb bandits crossing into Nigeria. What's the use then?

U have destroyed the Igbo man business, u can go and rest now.

Nothing they will tell u to stop u performing that wicked act.

U have done it now, congrats, u also now have two roads, one in front and the new one at the back.

Original route was suppose to be the one in front but wickedness will not allow you pass front, without destroying the Igbo man business.

After u destroy the business then you rejoin the road in front.

White people better pass you evil blacks.

White will never do such to their fellow white or investment in their country.

Otherwise, Arabs wont be investing there. Even a yoruba man bought Gatwick airport there.

FG owns the beach. That's why others along the route are not complaining. It wasn't sold to him. The land where the event centre and others are is his duly allocated land which isn't affected.

If you've been to the other road in front, you'll see that it's not big enough for 10 lanes plus there'll be more destruction of buildings along that route.

Education / Re: The Plea Of University Lecturers To Teachers In Secondary Schools!!! by delpee(f): 8:41pm On Apr 30
The annoying thing is that the empty heads take up the spaces of better performing students, whose scores are well earned, but end up in department's they never asked for. The fraudulent ones hike up the scores with their various cheating methods and get the best courses.

At the end of the first year, some will change courses, some may drop out and some pass out with low grades.

Politics / Re: Landmark: The Ocean Would Have Eroded The Beach Without Eko Atlantic - Dr Toks by delpee(f): 8:33pm On Apr 30
IPIGSRSHALLOW:
Without a doubt.

All these fools making noise are ignorant of the situation in that area before Tinubu. I still remember the ocean surge that was constantly flooding the area back then. It was Tinubu that turned the tide and created Eko Atlantic in the process.
That's a visionary man.
Without the barriers and Eko Atlantic, there wouldn't even be Lnadmark in the first place.

Amadu Bello Way used to be flooded and the guest houses that used to be on that road were being abandoned one at a time. I know because I used to rent some of the rooms back then when on Holiday to Nigeria.

May God continue to bless Tinubu and may God continue to bless Nigeria.

I remember a time in the late 90s when flooding from ocean waves used to go as far as Federal Palace Hotel and Adeola Odeku. Canoes could be used on Ahmadu Bello way at such times! Eko Atlantic has truly made a difference. Vi no longer experiences that type of serious flooding.

It is not only about when God said....what skill are you developing with your time. Let's not be too over religious here and forget the aspect of dilligence.

Bible said seeth thou a man who is diligence in what he does for he will stand before great kings or men.

True. Also faith without works is dead according to the Bible. In this case, he worked hard to receive his well deserved blessings.

BabaRamota1980:

Who is Ajayi Agboola's wife, and where is her ancestry?

We want to know. We need to know. Zero tolerance for Ibo First Lady.

If you marry Ibo, forget governorship in Yorubaland.

Makinde's wife is from Rivers State. I've not heard or seen complaints from Oyo State other than what you'll hear if the first lady is Yoruba and not doing things right.

The point is that, it's not about the tribe, it's about character. Feyi George (yoruba), misbehaved as first lady in Ondo State years ago. She got dealt with accordingly.

The same Niger State where the coward Nigerian Army choose to close camp because 6 soldiers sadly lost their Ives? Why cant the army descend on the BH terrorists in the rage similar to what is obtainable in the south. See how discriminatory they can be?

Lets not always see things through the tribal prism. Look at the map. Niger State is very large and has a lot of uninhabited spaces that have been taken up by terrorists. The former Governor was always complaining about that. How many soldiers can be posted there compared to the large number of bandits who know the terrain better? It's easy for them to ambush soldiers in the forest areas. I think the NA and other security forces need to come up with a new strategy to deal with this.

StPete:

Imagine if Kogi had State Police, not only will Yahaya Bello become untouchable, EFCC wouldn't dare go near the State as the Governor (Yahaya's puppet), would have used the state police to ridicule EFCC

I believe there'll be laws to guide against that. Federal Police will always be superior. Amotekun for instance can not override Nigerian Police. They collaborate when necessary.

A proposal of 4 million to the daughter of her boss! It's wise to scale it down and regrow her business over time. In terms of settlement after service, her salary would not have earned her 4m in terms of gratuity.

Coming to SM may not be a good move since they're not legally bound to pay except it is so indicated in her terms of employment. She should confirm if payments were made on her behalf to PENCOM towards pension payment as provided by the law (conditions and terms apply). That may provide some funds for her.
