OPC is live in Warri. Warri is our home land. Those talking nonsense here are strangers in Warri. For those who don't know, the real warri is own by Itsekiri and by extension an Oduduwa land. Me and my fellow OPC members are currently drinking bear at Utieyin bar opposite world of life bible church ajamimogha warri with full OPC regalia. Those who say we do not own Warri can come there to confront us and see if they will return back home with their head . Ajamimogha means I am in my home town in the center of Warri.

It is obvious that Oshiomole is a wicked man . I came to this conclusion when he signed death warrant for some alleged kidnappers to be killed even though they may be innocent

This is why Uduaghan refuse to sign death penalty into law because he is a compassionate governor.

UGHELLI—THE political fortunes of Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Elder Godsdey Orubebe, yesterday, suffed a set back, following his alleged suspension by a faction of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Burutu Local Government Area chapter, Delta State.

He was said to have been suspended alongside nine others over alleged “gross misconducts likely to bring about disrepute, hatred, contempt and anti-party activities.”

Meanwhile,  Mr. Sagbegha Korokorosei, who said he remains the authentic Chairman of PDP Burutu council, asked the people to disregard the purported suspension of Orubebe.

Factional PDP chairman in the council, Pastor Kenneth Ogeibiri and four others, in a statement, said: “At our meeting held in Burutu town, headquarters of Burutu LGA, on June 1, members of the party received petitions from concerned PDP faithful against Elder Orubebe and nine others.

“After a preliminary hearing, pursuant to section 21.4 of the PDP constitution 2009, as amended, and by the virtue of the powers conferred on us, the Working Committee of the party, via section 21.4 of the same constitution, we, hereby, place Elder  Orubebe on suspension.”

Also suspended, according to the statement, were:  “Owotorufa Ayiba-Ebe, Arebebe Ongulu, Sagbegha Korokorosei, Timidi Agbabi, Elmina Eselemo, Roland Akemfa, Asheta Oyabebefa, Augustine Gomoromo and Ekenwa Okwagbe.”

The faction added that “in the light of the above, the affected persons are hereby, referred to  PDP Disciplinary Committee, Burutu council chapter, for further investigation.”

Urging the people to disregard the said suspension, Korokorosei  said: “I wish to inform you that I, Mr. Korokorosei, remain the authentic  Chairman of PDP Burutu council. Whosoever is impersonating and or purporting to suspend Elder Orubebe, the Minister of Niger Affairs, such an action amounts to illegality.

Nobody has the power to do so, because the people purporting to be doing so are a frustrated group being used by people opposed to me.  Please,  ignore whatever they might have said because the man in question committed no offence.”

Politics / Open Letter To Good Luck Jonathan By Urhobo People Of Delta State by DELTABOY1: 11:13am On Feb 19, 2013
A Letter to President Jonathan on Ijaw by Urhobo Youths
June 2012 Urhobo Youth Council URHOBO YOUTH COUNCIL
Open Letter To The President Of Federal Republic Of Nigeria On Gross Marginalization Of The Urhobo By Your Administration And Undue Appropriation Of All Empowerment By The Ijaws
By Urhobo Youth Council (UYC)

We are constrained to write this open letter to bring to your notice and necessary action the gross marginalization of the Urhobo people and the appropriation of all appointments, projects and empowerment by the Ijaw nationality to the detriment of their neighbors and other ethnic nationalities in South-South geopolitical zone, as your kith and kin from the South geopolitical zone.

We are not unmindful of the serious security challenges buffering your administration including the Boko Haram insurgence and the spate of kidnapping and crime that are defying the road map of “The Transformational Agenda”. As your kins men, we empathize with you in the struggle to steady the ship of the state. Indeed, we have borne our pains in silence electing to convey our distress through peaceful and dialogue as opposed to violence in order not to heat the polity. It thus seems to us that our recourse to the path of peace is now being taken to be weakness on the part of the Urhobo people.

The Urhobos occupies Delta Central Senatorial district and also from majority population in Warri South and Patani Local Government areas in Delta State. For good measures, The Urhobo in Delta Central has total registered votes of well over 920,000 out of these figures; over 860,000 votes were delivered to you during the Presidential election. A figure that far outstrip your home state of Bayelsa with less than 500, 000 voters and several other state including but not limited to Taraba State. It is thus amazing that your home state of Bayelsa with such a number of votes in addition to your high office as president and commander in chief also produced some of the following: Minister of Petroleum. 2. Chairman of NDDC etc. to give vent to the rumored ijaw agenda at the expenses of other nationalities, your administration went further to patronize the Ijaws of Delta State who are less than 12% of the state population. Your administration brazenly took the ministerial slots zoned to the Urhobos by Alhaji Musa Yar’Adua and handed it to the minority Ijaw kinsmen. Elder Godsday Orubebe. The Executive Director of Finance and Administration is also headed by another Ijaw who share same ancestral root with the minister for Niger Delta.

While other nationalities are groaning under the weight of this lopsided empowerment, The DG of National Maritime and Safety Administration (NIMASA) occupied by an Itsekiri folk was removed and pronto another Ijaw man was appointed with dispatch.

Mr. President is aware that the Urhobos and other nationalities who subscribed to the Amnesty Programme were excluded from the programme, while the few that are enlisted are shut out from the training programme. It will not serve any purpose if we point out the Multi Billion Naira Presidential Amnesty Programme headed by another Ijaw folk from a fringe riverine community in Ondo state. The Amnesty programme is now exclusive preserve of the Ijaws who has appropriated Niger Delta as their Anglophones appellation.

The Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun, FUPRE approved and sited in Urhobo area is grossly underfunded. The University due to paucity of funds is yet to fully take off.

Despite being about the highest producer of natural gas and host to Utorogu gas plant, the Urhobos were painfully excluded as beneficiaries of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Federal Government and the gas producing community. Furthermore, the Urhobos are also shut out from the contact from Oil Pipeline Surveillance in spite of the fact that majority of the pipeline are in the Urhobo area.

OUR DEMANDS
We demand as we wallow in the wallow in the depth of political low tide which this administration has plunged our people are modest and reasonable which are:

1. Appointment of a qualified Ministerial from Urhobo (A slot that was zoned to the Urhobo)

2. Inclusion of the Urhobos who subscribed to the Amnesty programmes in the training of ex militants and partaking in the benefit thereon.

3. Adequate funding of the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun, FUPRE to enable the institution takes off properly.

4. Appointment without delay of qualified Urhobo son or daughter into key and strategic offices, which include but not limited to; NDDC, NNPC, NPA, NIMASA, ETF, PTDF etc. to enable our people have a sense of belonging to justify their huge support to your presidency.

We implore you to address our grievance and grant our modest demands in the spirit of the transformational agenda.

Signed

Hon Henry Minabowanre Baro | Olorogun Jaro Egbo | Mr. Hope Emore

Politics / Delta Commissioner For Commerce &industry Diverted Youth Empowerment Fund by DELTABOY1: 8:44pm On Feb 05, 2013
The commissioner for commerce and Industry must explain to us what happened to the N1 billion Delta State government fund in the bank of Industry.
For those who don't know, the Delta State government deposited the sum of N1 billion Naira in the Bank of Industry after an MOU was signed between the state government and BOI in 2010 to use such money to promote Small and medium Scale Enterprises. After the signing of the MOU, Dr. EEU call on youths in the state to access the fund to grow their business. The bank gave forms to youths and all the requirements for accessing the funds where met by the youths. However, the bank refused to release fund to any youth in Delta. Our investigation reveals that the zonal manager who is from Enugu allocated about 300 million to people from Enugu, Anambra and other parts of the south east. The remaining seven hundred million was said to have been collected by the commissioner for commerce and industry to execute a white elephant project that will benefit less than 10 persons.
Youths in delta are still amazed at the way an amount of money meant for their empowerment was used to empower people from the south east to their detriment.
Our demand is not difficult to meet. All we want is for the commissioner and the management of BOI to show us how many youths in Delta have been empowered by the BOI fund.

The governor has tried his best by creating jobs for DELTANS including Itsekiri people so I don't know where she is getting her statistics from

I think there is need to have an air force base in warri. Warri is a very strategic location if there is war in Nigeria today. From all indication , it is obvious that Nigeria will end by 2015 and such a facility is very important to safe guard our people against aerial bombardment if we cannot split peacefully

Even in the difficult terrain and the torrential flood that has taken the life of some people, His Excellency the most compassionate governor in Nigeria was able to paddle his way trough to assist flood victims. He put in his medical knowledge to personally treat victims in their various camps. What else can a man do to put smile on the face of his people. Yes I know those talking trash above are opposition party members who are not interested in whatever good work the man is doing but to take over his office. It is not surprising but your evil intention will perpetually make God to keep u in the abys of political obscurity that you have always been. How many camp has your master Ogboru visited in solidarity with the flood victims. Yet he said he love the people of the state.

As far as I am concern the Delta state governor is the best governor in Nigeria today. He beat Lagos state governor Fashola by transforming okada riders int keke owners. Fashola impounded okada in Lagos and sent them to recycling plant without compensation to the okada owners.

This constitution is the problem of Nigeria. True federalism and resource control is what we need to move the country forward. Most people thought that Nigeria is immune to natural disaster . Instead of attacking the Nigerian problem holistically by convening SNC to renegotiate the basis of our continued existence as a nation, they are busy playing politics. You can see that flood is not a respecter of man. The president's house has been submerged. As for Uduaghan , he is trying his best. Delta is a very difficult state to govern. Let's give kudos to him for the inter ethnic harmony in Delta today
