This injury pain me. Was ready to watch her at the mondial. I hope she recovers before them. I watched the clip of this incident and the reaction of the docs pissed me off gaan.
This Janet injury, i just hope it’s not ACL.

Because there are reports that she has signed with a big European club awaiting her travel so as to sign the contract overthere as her visa have been approved as well.

That don’t look good at all, like her right leg is twisted.
Could it have been caused by the synthetic turf?
Darn! Feel for her, as she was one of the better prospects.
We just hope and pray everything goes right with her treatments and recovery process because this girl is a big future prospect… ❤️‍🩹 🙏

Joy Omewa scored on her debut for Nottingham Forrest but they lost 5-1 in the end.

Omewa with the siuuuuu
She might be the pure no.9 we have been looking for since Desire Oparanozie retirement..

However, let's assess what she has to offer in England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 D2 for the next few months before a potential move to D1, which is anticipated in the summer transfer.

Almost same height & Physique with Desire Oparanozie as she’s well built though, uses both feet’s effectively. Good in the Air, ruthless finishing, elite positioning, and physical dominance to lead the line.

Her level of Pace & Agility against the Big side ( Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United / City etc ) is what I’m looking forward to seeing…

How is age an excuse? U are either the set age or not. U want to punish someone because they were good enough to make it at an early age? You are also punishing the coach by expecting him to drop a player he likes just because you are tired of seeing her.

Claudia Pina (Spain) and Linda Caicedo (Colombia) both played the U20 World Cup twice. There have even been others who played 3 times. This is not anything strange.
My major concern is that there are better options in that position, so why take a particular player to an age grade tournament 3 times when we have better ones who haven’t played the U20 once..?

Miracle Usani is an example, I will pick her over Oluchi one tin one tin as she hasn’t played the U20 once and she’s well exposed and can play on both sides..

There’s this particular player I’m seeing in the SuperFalconet for the over 5 years now..

She was part of Blessing Demehin 2022 set and the past U20 set that played the 2024 World Cup..

What is she still doing in this current U20 set up of 2026??

Let’s make it make sense, not that she’s even that good or exceptional. She mainly play as a Left Back and for Nasarawa Amazon in the NWFL 🇳🇬

Are there no better fullbacks in the League??

Why is she still in the U20 set up from 2022 till date??

I just don’t want to mention her name but those familiar with the Local League and youth players will know her better. If she’s that good let her play her way to the SuperFalcons.
For Christ sake this player played the U20 World Cup with the likes of Blessing Demehin, Rofiat Imuran, Flourish Sabastine, Deborah Abiodun, Esther Onyenezide, Chiamaka Okwuchukwu etc

At least 2 edition of the U20 is enough for a player..!! I’m not against the player but can we move on with other talented options instead of recycling one that hasn’t proven anything till date.

Someone explain this move to me like I'm 5. How does this make sense? Signing for a team in the second English division that is 6th on the table and therefore unlikely to be promoted is mind boggling. What's the angle here? Is it monetary incentive?

What happened to moving to Mexico, mid table Spanish teams?
Comments on twitter about her were asking why she didn’t move to a D1 club that she’s good enough to play in any of the A leagues..

I guess is for the money because there’s no way Fortuna will even let her go when they’re hunting for the League title and she’s also going for the golden boot..

Probably why she only signed till the end of the season..
Earlier rumors were Brighton, Aston Villa and West Ham were after her..

Wow so we have lost Ayo to USA? What a shame. 1st Edna now this. I am so sick of that eediot NFF president Gausau who has no clue as well as that mumu coach of ours. Justine Madugu. It’s like our Local coaches cannot communicate to the foreign Born players their plans and how to integrate them into the National teams. They would rather invite homebased players that are not even that good. If Nigeria is not carefu, the ladies will miss out of the world cup just like their male counterparts. Everybody is preparing and augmenting their teams except Nigeria. Shame, angry angry angry angry angry
Getting a message across to Ayo would have been very easy with Osi and Ihezuo playing with her at Pachuca…

There are ways to tye down players, Cap them down once the Potential of becoming a future star for the team Is very obvious. Incase of tomorrow If they blow up good for the Nigeria if they don’t the Player loss…

Chioma Okafor is another one..! This girl have that individual brilliance non of our current forward can boost of… ( A level of Pace, Skills and goal scoring abilities. )

There’s also this Florence Onyinyechi Okoli based in Sweden 🇸🇪 though playing for D2 Clubside, She’s well built and with similar traits like Banda and the Chawinga Sisters, I just hope Sweden doesn’t steal her away from us..

This is what you will continue to get when you have an unintelligent Coach as Head Coach, there’s no way a good Coach will spot this talent and not make a move for her long ago…

Ayo have played for the US from U15-U23 level and was captain of the U23 sometime ago, this tells you she’s quality. There was a chance having her in the team when she was playing in Mexico but now back to the 🇺🇸 Emma Hayes quickly brought her in..

Esther Okoronkwo extends her contract with AFC Toronto till 2027.

I guess the anticipated move to a "better club" we all hoped for will have to wait.
The Canadian League pays well more than the French or even Spanish leagues sef apart from the big clubs in those leagues playing UEFA Competitions..

And I guess the club is also on business mood trying to keep their Star player and also to make money from it if she’s to leave them any of the transfer window before her contract runs out.

But wait ooo... I just rechecked our group.

Nigeria will be up against 4 of the baddest forwards in African women's football.

- Barbara Banda (Zambia)
- Rachael Kundanaji (Zambia)
- Temwa Chawinga (Malawi)
- Tabitha Chawinga (Malawi)

Malawi are no powerhouse but their attack is something oo.
And the combination of Temwa Chawinga & Tabitha Chawinga (Malawi 🇲🇼) is more physical and deadly than that of Barbara Banda & Rachael Kundanaji (Zambia 🇿🇲) right now if you consider their club form as well…

Morocco are hosting for the 3rd time in a row.
All we want is to win the trophy once again and if possible against Morocco against all odds in the Finals.
We all saw how it panned out in the last tournament.

Only the best of the best should get called up to the team.
This isn’t just a WAFCON tournament but a qualifier for the 2027 World Cup, I hope they call up fit and the capable players to execute it not this slot selling of putting in undeserving Home based players just because they want to include them…

If they truly want to include any of the Home based players they should pick the Best.
