@dyt:

I read that too, did u also read that she said: " I regretted that immediately"? That means she wasn't out of her mind, was she?. I knew people would cite drunkenness as an excuse. It's not good enough a reason.
FamilyRe: Pregnant For Her Brother-in-inlaw? by deluxecad(op): 11:17am On Jun 08, 2011
What seems difficult for me to grasp is the declaration of love in a dicey situation like this. One would have thought that love should have defined safe boundaries when it comes to any kind of relations with her brother-in-law.

A woman would stab you in the chest and at the same time cry in regret.
FamilyPregnant For Her Brother-in-inlaw? by deluxecad(op): 10:53am On Jun 08, 2011
I read the account below and just couldn't figure out what goes on in some people's mind when they commit some despicable acts that would haunt and torment them for a lifetime.

Can she really say she loves her husband as she claims?

A Woman's Story of Shame

At a recent family wedding reception which took place at my brother-in-law’s house, I had a really drunken night with a few family friends, including my brother-in-law. Things got out of hand and we ended up having sex in a spare room in his house, I regretted it immediately as I’m very happy with my husband.

We have two children and are planning for the third one. Now I’ve just discovered I’m pregnant and there is a good chance my brother-in-law could be the father. Should I discuss this with him before I tell my husband?

I'm greatly concerned and startled at how Buhari thinks and comes through in his public declarations. Who said he hasn't done so much incitement that he can now be apprehended? He is dangerous to this nation in every sense.

PoliticsElection Violence Panel: Jonathan Has No Powers To Probe Violence – Buhari by deluxecad(op): 6:12am On May 13, 2011
LAGOS — PRESIDENTIAL Candidate of the Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, Maj. General Muhammadu Buhari, yesterday, picked holes in President Goodluck Jonathan’s raising of a 22-man panel to probe the post-presidential polls mayhem that claimed many lives and property in some northern parts of the country.

Buhari who described it as illegal and a wild goose chase, also criticised the doling of N5million each to families of the 10 youth corps members killed in the violence.

The CPC presidential candidate, in a statement by his spokesman, Mr. Yinka Odumakin, said: “The Federal Government, by law, has no powers to investigate any disturbances outside the Federal Capital Territory as pronounced by the Supreme Court in Fawehinmi vs Babangida. The 22-man panel set up by the President is, therefore, a hollow ritual meant to just play politics with a serious national tragedy.

Muhammadu Buhari
“Justice Samson Uwaifo, who has been made the Deputy Chair of this illegal panel was on the Supreme Court panel that gave that decision. He presently chairs a lawful Truth Commission in Osun State as only states have such powers.”

Poor performance at the polls

Buhari spoke as founder of the Oodua Peoples Congress, OPC, Dr. Frederick Fasehun, berated him over alleged “drumbeats of war” after performing poorly at the polls.

Fasehun said: “The sectarian pattern of General Buhari’s performance in the last elections in which he won only in North-East and North-West states, coupled with the tribal explosions that took place thereafter, should underscore to all and sundry the kind of image that he has cut for himself. Rather than projecting the qualities of a national leader,

General Buhari cuts the image of a tribal warlord; and he is very dangerous for the unity and future of this country.”

In the statement entitled: “On President Jonathan’s cheap politicisation of post-election violence,” Odumakin said the CPC did not justify the killings, adding: “The only sour truth we have pointed out is that those who wilfully violate the right of the people to freely choose their leaders are vicariously liable for the outrage of the mob. While we want justice for the people who lost their lives, we need to alert the whole world that the handling of this issue by President Jonathan is the worst form of mischief dance on the graves of the dead.”

Buhari alleged that the motive behind the giving of N5 million each to families of the victim was not out of “genuine concerns for the dead” but a “a photo-opportunity with the families,” adding: “Were the government to be genuine over its intention of even compensating those who lost their property, all it would have needed was advertising in newspapers for such victims to come forward with a verification panel to assess their claims and value genuine losses.”

He said the activities of the panel would not stand legally because “most of the terms of reference of this illegal panel are criminal investigations that cannot be tribunalised. The burning of houses is arson while the killing of people is culpable homicide; a competent government should be filing charges against the suspects arrested rather than embarking on a wild goose chase.”

Intense pressure on OPC, others

However, warning Buhari against heating up the polity, Fasehun said it took a great deal of maturity for southern leaders and organisations like the OPC to resist the intense pressure brought upon them to answer the violence in the North with collateral reprisals in the South.

He said: “Such leaders and organisations also held back out of consideration for President Goodluck Jonathan and their love for democracy. If killings take place in future, it may be difficult to control the backlash of emotions.”

Saddened by the killing of corps members during the mayhem, Fasehun canvassed amendment of the NYSC law to make participants serve in their regions of origin. He also sought N20 million compensation of corps members that die in service.

Country no longer at war

Fasehun noted: “General Yakubu Gowon’s regime established the National Youth Service Corps in 1973 as a post-civil war formula to “keep Nigeria one.” Now that this country is no longer at war, do we still need the NYSC 38 years after? Every year the country loses young, bright Nigerians in the NYSC to sectarian crisis mostly in the North.

Against this background, Nigerians expect that the first assignment of the incoming National Assembly will be to consider a Bill to modify or repeal the NYSC Act. Thus the Legislature must, as a matter of urgent public concern, hold a public sitting, where Nigerians will express their views on the desirability, modification or outright abolition of the operations and the latitude of the NYSC.

“While awaiting this essential legislative intervention, we demand immediate modifications in the scheme. If the NYSC must be retained, authorities should, as a matter of national emergency, put in place a system whereby fresh graduates will serve only within their regions of origin or indigeneship. Yoruba people should serve only in South-West states, while Igbo youths serve in South-East, Ibibio in South-South, Fulfude in North-East, and so on. It is unlikely that dog will eat dog; and a zone will not likely kill its own children in case of any crisis.

Also, the government must immediately institute a compensation and insurance package funded by both the NYSC and host states. The family of any youth corps member who dies in the course of serving his fatherland should receive a minimum compensation of N20 million.”

PoliticsLagos Won’t Remove Toll Gate From Lekki Expressway! by deluxecad(op): 5:18am On May 10, 2011
Lagos State Government said yesterday that the three toll gates under construction on the Lekki Expressway would remain on the road in the next 25 years that the concession would last, stressing that it cannot change the situation.

Special Adviser to Governor Babatunde Fashola on Works and Infrastructure, Ganiyu Johnson, an engineer, who made the clarification while speaking at a press conference in Lagos, said that the three toll gates were part of the agreement the state entered with the concessionaire, Lekki Concession Company(LCC), on the 49 kilometres expressway.

“The three toll gates were part of the agreement we signed with the investor. We cannot change that”, Johnson said, stressing that it is not easy involving investors in road construction.

According to him, any willing investor will only part with his money in his own terms.

He explained that beyond the Lekki Expressway, it has not been easy securing investors since the work of road construction is capital intensive.

Reflecting on the last four years, the Special Adviser said that the state government had been able to construct a total of 150 roads, measuring about 176.03 kilometres in length, adding that in the same period, four overhead link bridges were completed, while five are ongoing. Three pedestrian bridges were also completed in the last four years, while two are still under construction, he noted.

Making a comparison of roads constructed on a yearly basis, Johnson said that the year 2011 recorded the lowest percentage in the period, scoring only three percent, followed by 2007 with 14 per cent and 22 per cent for the year 2008.

He put the performance of 2009 and 2010 at 30 and 31 per cent respectively.

Text Of Al-Qaeda's Confirmation Of Osama Bin Laden's Death [Translated from Arabic by Reuters]:

"Congratulations to the Islamic nation on the martyrdom of its good son Osama after a life full of effort and work, determination and patience, incitement and holy struggle, generosity and giving, emigration and travel, advice and good preparation, wisdom and experience,

"That the Americans were able to kill Osama is not shameful to us. Where else do men and heroes die except on the battlefield? Every end is predestined. But can the Americans with their media, agents, machinery, soldiers, intelligence and equipment kill what Sheikh Osama lived and fought for? Never, never. Sheikh Osama did not build an organization that will die with his death and leave with his departure, "

"The nation that gave birth to Osama is a fertile nation. Many more men and heroes like him will come, who will enjoy sacrifice and find patience sweet, who will make the life of their enemies bitter and open to them the doors of hell or lead them to heaven in shackles,

"We assert that the blood of the mujahid Sheikh Osama bin Laden, may God have mercy on him, is too precious to us and to every Muslim to be wasted in vain. And it will remain, with permission from God Almighty, a curse that haunts the Americans and their collaborators and pursues them outside and inside their country, and that soon, with God's help, their joy will turn to sorrow and their tears will mix with blood, and we will realize Sheikh Osama's oath: America, and those who live in America, will not enjoy security until our people in Palestine do. The soldiers of Islam, together or as individuals, will continue to plot tirelessly and without desperation , until they are struck with a calamity that will make the hair of children turn white."

"The sheikh refused to depart from this world without sharing with his Islamic nation its joy over its revolutions in the face of the oppressors. A week before his killing, he recorded a voice message of congratulations and advice which we will publish soon, God willing."
"We warn the Americans not to harm the corpse of the sheikh or expose it or any member of his family, whether alive or dead, to any indecent treatment and to deliver (all) the corpses to their families. Any mistreatment will open multiple doors of evil against you, and you should blame no-one but yourselves. We call upon all Muslims to do their duty in imposing the truth."

PoliticsGej And The Northern Cabal by deluxecad(op): 3:13pm On Apr 13, 2011
GOODLUCK JONATHAN lost support from the supposed king-makers- Ciroma, IBB, Atiku and their fellow corrupt men because he refused to sign an agreement on who becomes Nigeria's President in 2015. GEJ said: "What I'm not comfortable with is the rationale behind 15 of us sitting here and deciding who becomes president in 2015. I will want Nigerians to choose their president in 2015".
Even when we were not there GEJ is still fighting for a free and fair process. He disappointed OBJ and BANKOLE because of his transparency and goodwill towards Nigeria.
Now, Buhari has been begging the same Ciroma, IBB, Atiku, Tinubu and Mohammed Abacha for help to win. He even promised to make Ribadu president in 2015 if he steps down for him. They are already forcing Fake Bakare to sign his resignation letter. Less than 10 men appointing 2015 president; is this not corruption in the highest order?
Nigerians, come out enmass and call your neighbors on Saturday so that we can kill this evil cabal forever. Vote GOODLUCK JONATHAN!

lol, i luv dis work. hehe

efisher:
His friends all over the world have been given the boot. The likes of Ben Ali, Mubarak, Gadhaffi, etc. They are the old order and their time is up. That is part of the reasons why it is so much of an issue today. The stronghold of these oppressors is being broken and it takes quite an effort to rip them off. When Bakare was not yet lured by the fantasies of presidential jets and more respect / adoration of humans, he made a statement (according to him, by the spirit of God).

Here is what he said:  “Let me tell you the truth by the spirit of God, neither (President Olusegun Obasanjo), OBJ, Atiku (Abubakar), IBB and this tall one, (Muhammadu) Buhari are part of the new. They are part of the old that is decaying. That old one is passing away. The new is emerging and these ones are not part of that new.”

What has changed overnight? I think it's the catalyst that changed this chemical equation!

PoliticsRe: Buhari: The Misguided Passion. by deluxecad(op): 6:16pm On Mar 29, 2011
That he made attempts to do that matters not a great deal to me, I'm just highlighting how thoughtlessly extremist he can get in courting some outrageous ideas. His statements tell a lot about him. Calling for total Sharia and civil disobedience, at some point, if he loses in the polls. Once a soldier, always a soldier. If Obj as an old soldier never followed due process to sell off the refineries, how much more a naturally despotic discipline-chanting Buhari? We need a neutral, focussed and balanced leader and that befits GEJ. Sorry, no deal for Buhari.
PoliticsRe: Buhari: The Misguided Passion. by deluxecad(op): 5:54pm On Mar 29, 2011
@Dayokanu: If you can read and understand with fairness, you'd see that I never said that Buhari signed Nigeria on to OIC while he ruled as a dictator, remove the veil you have that's preventing you from grasping my simple tenses. Though I never said Buhari did, he has all the tendencies to do so and I'm averse to that. I'm of the conviction that he doesn't hold the program to make Nigeria work. His desperation gives him away as more of power hungry than one who sincerely wants to serve. No ticket is as balanced as Goodluck/Sambo! Beat it, if y'all can. Go GEJ!
