Orji Kalu’s planned return to PDP suffers setback National NewsJul 12, 2010 By Henry Umoru ABUJA — PLAN by former Abia State governor, Chief Orji Kalu, to return to the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, this week suffered a major set back yesterday, this time, a total rejection by his Bende local government chapter of the party. According to the chapter, the news of his return to the PDP which he dumped to form the Progressive Peoples Alliance, PPA, was even strange to his Igbere ward and the Bende Local Government Area of the state, just as it said he must not come back through the backdoor. In a statement signed by Chairman of the party in the local government, Engr. Ekekwe E. Ejiagba, entitled: “Orji Uzor Kalu’s purported return to PDP: Disclaimer,” noted that the news read in the pages of newspapers was an “utter embarrassment.” The statement read in part: “We read with utter embarrassment some newspaper reports on the purported return of Chief Orji Uzor Kalu to the PDP in Igbere, Bende Local Government Area of Abia State. “We want to make it abundantly clear that the PDP, after the last congress, elected functionaries recognised by the party in every ward and local government, including Bende L.G.A where Orji Kalu hails from. “The PDP is a disciplined, stable and organised party governed by the rule of law, its constitution and due process. We will not fold our hands and allow Orji Kalu an undeserved respite after destroying the fortunes of Abia State and infecting his own Progressive People’s Alliance, PPA, with the nuisance, confusion and destruction that have become his trademark." “The fact that he convened a personal meeting of discredited, motley crowed of remnants of his shattered PPA in his private residence at Igbere does not mean he has returned to the PDP which constitution clearly stipulates the method by which a decampee like Orji Kalu may return to its fold.” http://www.vanguardngr.com/2010/07/12/orji-kalu%E2%80%99s-planned-return-to-pdp-suffers-setback/ The bolded part thrills me most. Politicians are getting conscientious.

In these days of Nairaland and Facebook? What books do you mean exactly? Softcopies or those hardwares we used to have? If I can read a 100-page response to a sizzling directed topic on NL, wouldn't it be appropriate if I said I've read a whole book? . I love to read about politics, family, romance and religion, it could come in any shape, soft or hard. It doesn't matter. In whatever I do, I steal some time to read anyway. Peace! |
This is what I've been praying to God about since. Set the cult against themselves and let them cut themselves with every bit of weapon they still have in their arsenal-libel, blackmail, Okija juju, kidnapping, and any other form of defamatory tool they can lay their hands on. Let hell break loose! Abia State shall live and exist true to it's motto: God's Own State. |
YES, YES, YES!!!!!!!!!! SINCE OUR SECURITY OUTFITS CANNOT EFFICIENTLY POLICE THE NATION AND PUT CRIME IN CHECK. I NEED AN UZI AND 50RPM REVOLVER TO WARD OFF ANY MISCREANT. YES, YES, YES!!!! |
GOOD FOR HIM. HE SHOULD RETIRE TO HIS MOM'S KITCHEN AND WARM UP TO CRAWL TO HIS CELL SLOT IN KIRIKIRI OR WHEREVER. GOOD RIDDANCE, I'D SAY. DOES HE THINK HE CAN RESIGN OR RATHER DEFECT FROM PPA AND STILL HAVE A CHANCE AT ANY JUICY POSITION IN ABIA AGAIN? HE WASTED PRECIOUS TIME AND RESOURCES. WHAT?! |
Ayo Aina:Would you call that cheating or rather the unfeigned expression of one's basic instincts? ![]() ![]() |
Yes, I asked that. I am a man and I know how hard it appears not to turn back to steal a peek at a voluptuous chic when she walks by, even as the man in question has beside him a more ravishing lady. What in the world is all this? Lol! You would see a married man running all over the place with girls not even on the class of his wife(or girlfriend) on the beauty scale. This is so not easy to understand. I plan to marry a well-mannered and comely woman I'd love in every sense of the word, but this man keeps telling me that that doesn't stop a man's quest to lust. How true my people? |

So who's fooling who in this country? What kind of controversial folks do we have at the helm of critical affairs in this country? But, let me ask one thing, could they be hired back into the banks they were fired from for real? |
Kobojunkie:I sure wasn't dictating for him how to live his apparently miserable life(mind you, he chose to make himself thus), what I resent is when he tries to misguide his spleen and dole out invectives on people that didn't do him nothing-the unborn. He should learn how to handle his own personal issues, everybody's got his. |
ElRazur:LOL! |
I call this silly. Why curse the unborn generation because of some alleged injustice meted out to you? The write-up reveals a great deal of what evil content the author is made up of. He sure doesn't have the resilient and not-giving-up spirit of the Nigerian person. To me he doesn't have a case and should be ignored. God bless Nigeria. |
Lagos is the most unnecessarily expensive city in Nigeria. Every move you make is tolled and taxed. It's going to get even worse as the governor is planning to digitize it so you can get taxed when you sneeze in your loo. Haha! Seriously.

I would've loved this to be made public, because many people don't know what rights to knowledge they have in the hospital. One could react to some treatment without proper agreement with the doctor. How can you inject someone with Chloroquine to treat him/her Malaria not knowing that he/she reacts badly to it. You need to know!!!!!!! |
God damn it! It's intolerable. |
The patient should have full knowledge of what he's dealing with, both the diagnosis and drug administration. This I think is ethical. What do the doctors in the house say? |
I think it's good for a patient to have full knowledge of every medication he receives from the hospital, both tablets and injections. Why would a physician conceal the injections he administers on his patient from him? What's the logic backing that? Would you rather be injected with drugs you know nothing about? |
Better Dayz, Mama's Just a Lil Girl, Until the End of Time, Never Had A Friend Like Me, Playa Cardz Right, Military Minds, Unconditional Love, Dear Mama by 2Pac. What you are by Lionel Richie, I am the seeker by Dolly Parton, Be Me Near by 50cent/Neyo, Satisfy You by P. Diddy/ R. Kelly, |
Haha! On Ozumba Mbadiwe, VI. The high speed lanes, wow! God did something amazing. We fell flat and all vehicles held their peace. I stood up, dusted off and mounted the Bajaj(lol) again unscathed. It was miraculous and comical. Okada, can Lagos run effectively without them? |
Reliable feelers from Abj say he's being prepared for some work in his state of nativity. I just hate the sensational journalism in Nigeria. |
If the appointment of Mr. Sambo as VP and the ascension of his deputy as the Kaduna state gov'nor will spark off religious-ethnic violence that will spill the blood of innocent citizens, let another option be considered. I'm sure Goodluck knew his deputy was christian before his choice. He shouldn't just start his make-up rule with troubles. He should get another VP. |
Most paranoia are usually baseless and uncalled for, I've come to understand. People worry about things that wouldn't happen eventually. Why gag yourself with worries about things that would or wouldn't be? It's risk all the way and we can't help it. Most things we deem stereotypes in the lives of men or women don't always hold. You can set your mind on getting a good/faithful partner or drown yourself in the fear and anxiety of a wife that'll cheat on you. If one emphasizes the bad all the time, one tends to see and have more of it. Period. |

Tupac lives on! All-time greatest! |
Good riddance! Ibori should simply go to jail while others like Igbinedion, Kalu, Dariye, Udenwa, Turaki, Yerima should join d long queue. Good riddance! Period. |
Could the poster come and justify his post? It makes no good meaning as it stands. Is Kaduna a muslim state per se? Let whoever the cap fits wear it. Cikina! Enough of this religious fundamentalism. |
@Seun: You should have a back-up database. A lot of meaningful posts are missing. |
