I love the Hausa language and the way it sounds. The stress patterns can turn you on! Kai! |
Now London needs help. Picture the level of depravity being displayed by these crazy mobs looting. What are they agitating for? There are truly animals everywhere. Can you imagine mums and dads looting shops where they once shopped as responsible adults? It's all madness and pettiness. |
Fashola signs law against abandonment of pregnant women. On August 9, 2011 · In News By Olasunkanmi Akoni LAGOS — Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State, yesterday, signed a bill into law, which allows for the prosecution and jailing of any man who impregnates and deserts any woman. The bill presented to the governor by the state’s Commissioner of Justice and Attorney General, Mr. Ade Ipaye, at Government House, Ikeja, was among three other bills presented for the governor’s assent. Other bills include amendments to provisions of the Emergency Management Agency, EMA, Law and the Administration of Criminal Justice. Fashola, while assenting to the bills, said the various amendments to the laws were needed to tackle the problem of crime and delay in administration of justice in the state. He said the enactment of the laws represented the commitment of the state government to building strong institutions, that could tackle crime and corruption, which had crippled the country. He added that the country needed strong legislation to fight corruption and moral laxity. Fashola explained that the Criminal Code Law, used in the state before now was enacted in 1914 by the colonial masters, saying that such laws and their provisions had since become obsolete and could not address challenges posed by present realities. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2011/08/fashola-signs-law-against-abandonment-of-pregnant-women/ This isn't funny o! But e gud sha o!! No more hit and run. ![]() |

It's a wrong thing to violate or flout traffic rules, whether bicyclist or motorist. It's proper to arrest him. |

Mr. el Rufai just said his mind, Freedom of Expression, but next time he should get his facts and figures right. |
Prostitution can never be justified no matter the circumstances that led to it. People should make a legitimate effort, God will honor it and bless them. |
On a very practical and realistic note, I go with the prof. Let them have their own country. Nigeria is not one and it's high time we embraced the truth. Let, if possible, Nigeria divide along all possible lines-religious, tribe, tongue and so on. I am being real here. |
Dear moderator, there is NO English word as "Inciteful". Be mindful of what you put up on the frontpage, kids come here too and they learn, even adults. It should be "Inciting". |
All I'm saying is that sentiments and carrying long faces don't go well with any form of work, folks should try to be tolerant, neutral and professional. |
I simply advise that all the corps members whose call-up letters read: Bauchi, Bornu, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Plateau should come together either physically(if possible) or just pool together written petitions electronically and any of you in Lagos or Abuja should take it to a sound legal luminary like Femi Falana, Festus Keyamo or Olisa Agbakoba citing insecurity and predisposition to death. The NYSC or FG will surely return to their senses. It's so insensitive of the FG and the authorities of the NYSC to have still deployed defenseless young graduates to hostile and/or volatile communities. We are just too emotional and forgetful in this country, just in April, barely two months ago we were crying buckets of tears over our youths that were senselessly slaughtered and burned during and after the elections and now another batch is being dispatched to the same soil that licked the blood of their predecessors! It's insensitive and unfeeling!! It's unthinkable and outrageous to have even been conceived in the first instance. This crazy and thoughtless move by the NYSC must be stopped and now!!!s over our youths that were senselessly slaughtered and burned during and after the elections and now another batch is being dispatched to the same soil that licked the blood of their predecessors! Would you advise he secures a loan facility to marry his love before the hawks flying around whisk her away? Talk of the insecurity that other men you've been seeing around may beat you to grabbing her. Would the wife disregard him is she gets to know at some point that he took a loan to bring her into matrimony? What say y'all? Ơ̴̴͡.̮Ơ̴̴̴͡ |
N101:@Solomto: You make sense. |
madoba:Could you please post some of the content of the professional conduct stuff for us to see and read. |
After all the excitement and fun of freshly getting married has worn away, the couple is now fraught with the real deal they have consensually/mutually (in some cases not) signed on to. The discoveries of real individual qualities, sleeping patterns, hygiene. . . (which in most cases dating and courtship seem to have not unravelled) now dawn on the newbies. Most of such discoveries are at the least unsettling. And now enter the babies and the responsibilities that come with parenting. Some of the spouses still see and maintain dealings with their erstwhile lovers, while others hit it off with new ones (for reasons I can't tell). Still in the game! I have always been an advocate of good and consummate marriage, but what I find hard to understand is the fact that people say MARRIAGE = SETTLING DOWN. Settling down in what sense? Does marriage mean settling down? |
sweettweet:Yea, I know exactly what I'm talking about. |
You two lack understanding or plain childish. Read!!!!!!!! |
This is just my honest and unbiased view based on the much I have seen so far, don't harangue me for nothing if you don't have a reasonable thought to express. Most women, not all are better enjoyed as either wives or just girlfriends, not as colleagues in the workplace. A woman will always work you up so badly with her antics and whatever, that's not good for a place where profitability is paramount and demands camaraderie among the workforce. You don't know how to handle them because their moods swing as hell, one minute they have your nerves frayed, the other minute they are begging in such a way you'd feel so guilty if you don't let go. They'd carry long faces all day after a slight argument. The worst is that the superiors find it hard to handle their idiosyncrasies. Some have intolerable attitude. Sucks! A little news would be peddled all round the block in just a jiffy, thanks to the blackberry. SMH. During their monthly thing, you can hardly get them to do anything for you. WTF? I can go on. Give me a fellow dude to work with any time, any day. ![]() |
