Larwin: The bolded is very true. I also fell for this option I went for the cheapest roofer and the guy barber my head anyhow Apart from going the cheapest quote route, I also struggle to understand how grown men who worked hard for their money abroad will just call Brabus, negotiate and hand over in some instance more than N10 million naira to him to deliver a house to them. I mean are people that naive or is Brabus using juju on them? What is wrong with you buying all your materials and just pay surpevision cost? Even after handing over all that money, these people don't even deem it necessary to employ family members to monitor Brabus only relying on photos sent by Brabus. Na wa for some people o. I keep hearing don't involve your family in your house building. Dem go chop your money. OK, now that you gave your house build to a professional, how far? Any new person that comes on this site to report Brabus of fraud for a project started in the last year will no longer have my sympathy. Enough of all these nonsense. Give Brabus a second chance at your own peril. If I give Brabus a second chance after knowing all that I know about him on this forum, I intend to bear the consequences (good or bad) alone without disturbing any of you guys. Thanks. 6 Likes |

@ Hajji "kobokobo rich man" Mufutau55, Nobody can accuse you of supporting Brabus. You are too responsible for that kind nonsense. Me sef i like the Brabus of a guy. I think he has great potentials and have said it on this forum before. But I really tire for all these accusations against him. I am praying that Brabus can settle with all of his numerous accusers amicably so that he can reach the promise land. BUT, please nobody should encourage the closure of the thread. Infact, can I suggest you put back the title or at least give it any other befitting title. ANY SUGGESTION? Hajj, don't go o o 2 Likes |

MMotimo: I just have to quote your long post. Apologies. Are you sure you are not a 'born again' Lastpage? Nigeria is filled with reasonable people like you. If not for bad leaders ours will be one of the best countries. Your beer parlour analogy is the real deal mehn!. Like the saying goes. No peace without justice Anyone that expects victims to move over to a dead thread because they want peace here is simply being delusional. This thread is not going anywhere pleaaese!!! And to those that keep saying go to police, go to efcc, go to court. ARE YOU GUYS NOT NIGERIANS? Who can get "justice" in Nigeria except the politicians and military men? You guys are advising victims to go to police or court so that they can be further defrauded by those law breakers while the accused goes away scot free ehe? The problem with Nigeria today is while everybody want peace, nobody cares for Justice 12 Likes 1 Share |

mavverick: Burn down the house Na joke I dey o. In fact I am not sure what I will do. I asked a question before, who has rights in Nigeria? Nigeria is a country where someone will see A and say it is B and neither you nor me will be able to do anything about it. Na battle all the time. Your tenants may even go spiritual and diabolic for you sef. E be like say I really they paint a dire scenario mehn!! |

gbadexy: Rights? One lawyer is asking for 150k per tenant to go to court. That is 450k meanwhile rent is 250k per year. The agent said it could take up to 2 years to finally eject the tenants. That is two years of no rent for my guy Who get rights for Nigeria sef? |

FreeWorld23: @bolded, most people that make it in Nigeria are the ones enjoying govt patronage and backing e.g dangote. So many have had the fingers burnt just like euromillion described. I know of a guy whose three of his four tenants are owing him 1 year rent as of now and he can't do much about it. If that man is related to one army big man, I bet those tenants would not try that nonsense. Is that how a country should be run? If things do not change for the better, Nigeria of the next 20 years will surely be a no go area. All the same no place like home sha. |

erico2k2: They are now called "care home with nursing" since 2002. Nursing home can also be for old people. Anyway, why we even dey arguing this sef Na proper planning better pass. Is good that you have your madam for Naija. Go home and raise your children and pray Nigeria gets better so that there will be no need for the children to come lost for abroad in the future so that they go look after you and madam for una old age. |

erico2k2: OK o. I wish you a very happy retirement in Naija. By the way care home if free if you don't have the means. You pay for it using including your state pension, housing allowance etc. That is what is mean tested. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nursing_home_care_in_the_United_Kingdom |

erico2k2: I know quite a few that have done it. But to born a baby at 60? No be me o ooo NHS is free so old people home is free if you you have been mean tested and found not to have means to pay. Nothing wrong to retire back to Naija but it is not always rosy and easy. Nigeria does not care for the weakest member of the society. That your $700 pension a month may not be enough to maintain your car and generators when the unscrupulous mechanics catch you Naija na jungle. Not for the sane mind brother. |

erico2k2: I think say for retirement home feeding, housing, heating, ac, all na free nau? What I was trying this say is that if one does not have his immediate family around in Nigeria you are bound to be exploited by those who you will pay to look after you. They might even kill you sef to quickly take possession of your house and other investment knowing well that your children will never come back home to Nigeria to drag property with them. May God help us. |
Properties / Re: General Topic Thread-To Discuss Anything And Everything in Building Construction by Demainman1: 9:24pm On Aug 07, 2016 |
erico2k2: @bolded, I belief that retirement homes abroad may be a better option that aging in Nigeria without your kids around if you happen to have them all abroad. I wonder if family members or those employed to help you will treat you well when you are no longer able to help yourself. I have heard many stories of carers stealing the food and money of old people and leaving then to go hungry because their children who are footing the bill are all living abroad. A friend of mine once told me that his aunty(mum younger sister) who was looking after his mum told him and his siblings that the cost of feeding the old woman was 80,000 naira a day. One day o o. Now tell me, was that woman not better in an old people's home? Successive govt have really ruined our beautiful Nigeria. We don't have any reason to leave our people back home to come and live in all these strange places abroad if not for the destroyers we have as leaders. For those who have the fortune or misfortune of having all your children reside abroad, I'll say be prepared. Old age will be quite interesting. May God help us all. |
