If you are married and the child is born during the marriage, you are the father of the child as long as your wife never identifies the child as another man's in any legal way. The courts view it as the best interest of the child. Your only escape would be to leave the country before they canceled your passport for nonpayment of child support.

Sir no one is getting criminally charged for adultery in the US. Absolutely no one. There are many laws here which are on the "books" but not enforced. If you don't think you can be forced to pay child support under American law in the situation I described, it tells me you have never lived here.

I do know that people are quick to call marital property 'the man's property'. Quickly assuming the woman didn't contribute anything while they were married. Maybe she had a job. Maybe they built the house together. And even if she did not have a paid job, her being a housewife is also a job that contributed to the family wellbeing while it lasted. Thus enabling the man to go out comfortably and earn money without worrying about home work. That's a big contribution. Hence she's entitled to half what they made while married.

If he wants to get back at her for what she did to him, I think there are lawsuits he can file (not sure) but there probably are. And those wouldn't involve trying to cheat her out of what belongs to her.

Honestly, you just got to love them. That's one part that amazes me about dogs. No matter the scolding and even beating. Just go out and come back and you'll find my dog at the gate jumping and licking ones body just to welcome you. They even tend to love my mum more and she scolds them the most.
