Technology Market / Re: Professor On Any Type Of Generator. by demiiii(f): 5:08pm On Dec 21, 2016
Some people were of the opinion I get Fireman but I need expert advice.

demiiii:
Please Engr. I currently need a Generator that can carry Led TV, freezer, charge the inverter and sometimes front loader washing machine, blender conveniently.

I would like a Generator that doesn't consume much fuel/ Petrol. It should need less maintenance and low noise.

Thank you.

Hello doctors in the house, I have a family member who lives with me and she has a severe case of ringworm. It had eaten deep into her feet. It is from the ankle down to her feet on both legs and she has large patches of the ringworm on her knee, all over her hair. it even chopped of all the hair she has till it became low cut.It didn't allow the hair to grow. she also has it on her face and hand. She backs my child a lot and I sometimes get scared that she may infect my children. We have used all the creams like funbact-A, tribotan, skineal etc but it keeps coming back I had to go drastic on it when I read online that one could apply bleach which we did and it dried up quickly but not completely cos another has appeared and am worried. As it itches her so much that she scratches it with a stone.

please help destroy this ringworm!!!!!!!

Thanks u Doctor and God bless

Any help on the above

my dear, you must declare money/ cash at the POE. max of 10,000 dollars in cash. its really dificult to pay all your bills with the card. you can take at least 5000dollars
lala4sure:

Thanks for your advice dear but I am considering the increasing exchange rate and I intend to pay my bills with the card. Besides I wouldn't want to declare any money at poe as I heard it's from 10k

did anyone take the baby to the padeatrician in us or in nigeria and how long did it take. were you given a specified period of time to take the the baby to see a padeatrician?

Also nairalanders, after the padeatricians saw the baby at the hospital, is it compulsory to take the baby to another padeatrician?
Travel / Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 2 by demiiii(f): 2:51am On May 19, 2015
YOur need to hold cash. You can be denied entry at the POE for not holding cash.if u eventually get in for every withdrawal you make. You will be charged 400naira each.

KayLayChi:
Hi Moms, Moms to be and few papas in the house,

I have roughly 6 weeks to port, although i have started feeling home sick cause i have never been apart from my hubby and I am not traveling with my son (he will shuttle between my mom and my mother inlaw, he will be on holidas then).

My main question, I have since bought my PTA $4,000 @ N200 and I also have some other funds. In all I have a total of $6,975 in my dorm account. I plan to buy $25 to make it up to $7000 for POE. I dey fear to buy dollar a@ N222. Also I plan to pay my hospital bill using InterBank (Form A using Medical Travel Allowance) they exchange rate is about N197 - N200

1. Is $7,000 enough for POE?
2. I also plan to print my statement in my naira account and also go with both my VISA and Master cards
3. Has anyone paid their medical bills using Medical Travel Allowance? I plan using this oh, then open a BOA account and save my $7,000 also I plan to shop with my cards.

For those interested in the Medical Travel Allowance, the requirements are;
1. Duly completed Form A
2. Letter of reference from Specialist hospital in Nigeria
3. Ticket, Passport, Valid Visa (Travel documents)
4. Letter from Doctor overseas stating the cost of treatment and account number
5. Instruction letter to debit your account or a cheque.

Please note that the funds will be remitted to the Doctor or Hospitals account directly.

I will advice you go with someone. Being here without a relative or help is terrible. Even with a relative, I still felt d vacuum of my immediate family members.

You will need them for moral and emotional support, and assistance with post delivery.

I currently have serious back pain but no 1 to massage it for me. Just imagine so many other things I need.
Also sometimes the hospital staff may become smart or overlook some errors by including in your bill what you were not give during and after the delivery process. Only a family member can help calculate how many drips u were give and drug.

Can go on and on guys

Did u call delta or you just got to the airport on the day of your departure and you bought a return ticket.

Am using delta. I called them but d lady said I couldn't get a one way ticket but she wasn't sure if they could get it for me at d airport counter.

Need advice from recent traveller's on how they went about it.

Nita2013:
Shelly that depends on d airline I guess. With emirates I bought a one way ticket for my baby at $50. And he had only naija visa.

[But i need to apply online first? Fill and post to the embassy.I am applying for a passport and not a visa.
Did you fill any form before going to the embassy
. Or you just walked into the embassy and filled the form.

If you're in Maryland and would have to go through the stress of buying a money order, why not just get a nigerian passport instead of getting a visa.
Had my baby last year in Maryland and got baby's naija passport in two hours at the embassy.

Thanks shelly, it also states that I have to pick either FedEx ups or DHL. Is dat compulsory and any difference from there regular post methods.heard they charge as high as 50 dollars. but am currently in Maryland and I need to send it to Washington right.. Which of themy do you think is best and not costly.

Also need to know if I can buy a return ticket for my baby on the day of my flight.need advice on how best to save cost.
Or a one way ticket.

Thanks

shelly23:
Yeah it's not the most straightforward process. You're better off just buying a money order instead of trying to pay with your card (they'll ask you to register the card by scanning and emailing your bank statement, passport, etc)
When you get to the payment page, choose the money order option and you'll see the instructions on what to do next.
If you get confused, call their customer service number.

Maryland is really expensive to give birth. You can try shady groove adventist hospital. Their range is arnd 7,000 dollars. Laurel regional hospital is like 6, 000 dollars. I used Howard County hospital in columbia, they gave us an estimate of 8, 500 for virginal delivery and down payment of 5, 000 dollars upon registration. I stayed in the hospital for 2 nights, had a normal delivery without epidural and total cost for mysef and my baby for 2 nights amounted to 6, 200 dollars. I think they give u estimate but u might not pay up to that amt if there's no complication. Ped fee was 290 dollars. Choice of hospital also depends on where you are staying in Maryland. You can PM me for more details.

When did u pay this.i .believe dis is far from the truth, we should try not to mislead people.spoke to them just yesterday the 29th of april and dis prices here are far from true. They even said no discounts will be given for self pay/pay out of pocket

Vagina delivery is $10000 and cs is $12000

I am currently hospital shopping
shirley013:

Prince George's County hospital (they may have updated their prices, @karypops shared the latest prices which I have attached below
Dr A.G Chaudry
Doc's fee including all visits n tests $2514
Hospital: Mother
$3539.16, Baby $797.14
Total $6,850.30

You can google for the contact info of the various doctors and hospitals. Most do not accept email correspondence. Just phone and fax.

for those considering prince George in maryland the hospital fee for mother & baby is 7,500+ for normal delivery without epiduralol for 2nights.
I was actually heading to El paso for delivery bt my baby came earlier so I was taken to PG hospital I paid the above as hospital fee excluding Dr & other charges note dat this is not emergency fee it is their standard fee.
They give 1% discount for self paid.
I hope some1 finds this useful.

Great job every one. i have also been a silent follower of this forum..... God Bless you all... All ya believing God for the fruit of the womb and the means to have your child in US..... it is my prayer that God will visit you this year by God's grace.

Please i have the following questions:

1. I got the B1/B2 visa last year, never used it but now wish to have my baby in US. Is it compulsory to write the embassy to notify them of my intention to have my baby in US?

2. I plan to use Dr. Fagboun..... any good accommodation around oakbend where the hospital is? i believe the area is called Richmond.

3. Which POE will u recommend ?

4. Which airline do you recommend?

5. What is the minimum recommended number if days/weeks a newborn baby requires before getting on a local or international flight?

Thanks in advance. smiley

1. Its very necessary to write the embassy.
2,3,4. Go through the thread. Pple have given information on the accomodation in dat area, Depends on ur location in d usa.I mean ur final destination
5. minimum of 2weeks to 1month, so I was told too cos I have only 3months maternity leave.

Giving back my POE story as my little contributn to this forum.
I was at t to get my fit to fly but was informed that I won't be given if am over 30weeks.so I didn't get a fit to fly.
At the airport Delta requested for my fit to fly and I told him I didn't have any, he said but I wasn't up to 32weeks and I told him am over, he smiled and gave me my ticket.
Got to altlanta POE and was askd what I was in the us for. The officer already assessed me, he knew I was pregnant cos am already in my 36th week. I told him I was in the usa for vacation and childbirth. He asked to see my hospital correspondence. He asked how much I had on me and I told him over 5000dollars and he asked if I had more money on my credit card and I said ye. I brought out the doctors and hospital fees and test forms they had brought for me from the usa. I also included the letter to the embassy and he asked what I do for a living and I told him am an * * officer. He stamps me in for 6months. I wasn't asked to go for any secondary screening or questioning. Got to baggage claim & den agriculture. Dats it. In d usa for my childs birth.

Thanks nairalanders for the support.

Hello house,
I have been to the port health authority at mm1 but was asked to go to their head office at toll gate and later asked to go back to mm1. am tired of d back and forth game.

Where exactly do I get the to Fit to fly certificate.? Departure or arrival? I have been to arrival but I wasn't allowed in.

Also, must it be on the travel date. I wish to get it a day or two b4 my travel. Sm1 pls help.

I really need a copy of the consent letter to be written by my husband. And the site or link to print the one from the US Consulate.

What is d maximum amount I can fly with. Heard it's 10000usd.kindly confirm.

What other documents do I need to take with me apart from my marriage certificate (copy) as I still use my maiden name on my passport.

Thanks guyz.

I really appreciate ur response.

I need infor on this too!!

I have a sister who got a visa from the us embassy last year 2014 but was unable to travel for the reason stated -holiday . She wasn't married as at the time she got the visa, she got married dis year and now pregnant. Although, the pregnancy isn't visible yet.

My questions are
Should she write a letter of intent to the embassy stating a change in travel plans as she is yet to travel for holiday and now wants to have her baby in the Us.
Should she quickly go to the us for a week or too in oder to fulfil the actual reason the ticket was give. This is in order for her to have easy entry when she wants to go and deliver her baby later dis year.
Is it ok for her husband to go and apply for the visa now or wait till when she has travelled to deliver

Should her husband get an invitation letter from her mums brother to take to d embassy.
What should be written on the invitation letter- assistance of his wife with delivery or just holiday since telling together.

She doent have an email from the doctor where she wants to birth has he only attend to her when she gets dere.

Help guyz like u have always done.
boldbabe:

My husband was given his visa after two denials. He reapplied the third time when i was preggy and was already in the states and was given. He went with all my hospital correspondences, marriage certificate, change of name e.t.c and was just asked his reason for travelling and he mentioned, it was to assist his wife for childbirth. They asked him the name of his wife and he mentioned it, the VO requested for evidence that we are married becuase my passport was in my maiden name, he showed the marriage certificate and change of name, he was asked what he does for a living and he answered. His visa was approved.
