So true. You hit the nail on the head.

I will like to know your success story.

And how you intend to achieve the children's and hubby's application.

Please follow back

Jesusrules24:
As a mum, it is really difficult to imagine leaving ones children for a long period of time. So I understand why you want to apply with them.

I have seen a few people apply with their children and get the study permit, however, because of how the VO's are, you should aim to do everything to reduce the chances of a denial.

In my opinion, you should apply first without your kids and then apply for them later.

It is what I did.

I haven't yet gotten my study permit, but I have gotten AIP and medical request. I am trusting in God for the best/rest.

It's going to be a tough one for me because I cannot imagine going for long without my kids, but if it comes to that, then it's a sacrifice that would be worth it in the long run.

Applying with kids and getting study permit is possible, people do it.

But applying without them is just a way to improve your chances of success.

All the best in your application.

I dont you are crazy at all. But how do you pull this off. I am in this boat too, confused as hell. Although I applied alone.

I am wondering what I will do?

Will I leave my 4 kids for months? How long? When do I get to bring them to Canada? Do I only get to apply only after arrival in Canada?

Someone should advice mothers with children. please

letskeeptalking:

Hi, could I trouble you for some advice?

I have admission for January and I want to apply with my (4) kids. People say I'm crazy for even considering that but these are some of the reasons why I think I can pull it off . ..

1. My husband is staying behind . .
2. I don't plan to travel immidiately, I plan to start my study online and continue working here, until the summer of next year.
3. PoF - 35kCAD in a Canadian Bank Grarantee certificate (Which I can only access when I arrive there); Payment of one year upfront school fees; evidence of continous (about 700k) earning between now and whenever I'm ready to relocate (Including 25% pension funds which I can access after I travel . . worth about 10kCAD).
4. Letter from my current employer stating that the degree will be an added advantage in my career prospects here in Nigeria after completion.
5. Travel history (3 of my kids were born in the US)

Of course I have the option of going first without my kids, and then requesting for them to join me later. But I will rather consider that as a Plan B.

So do you guys think I'm crazy?

Thank you so much.

Mrtoke:

I will say wait till you get your final approval , from what I’m aware of, there are people that get their final stage refused after getting their AIP approved.

Wait for your final approval , start your classes even if it’s online, get your enrolment letter and other documents, you can then submit a spouse open work permit for your husband and a visitor visa for the rest of them

Hello everyone,

I know we are all tensed waiting for the application eligibility to be change to passed. But someone should please assist others who need information on how to go about applying. Using your personal experience or others you are aware of.

kindly explain the best way to apply for a Mother who the applicant for study permit. What does she do immediately she gets it? How can should she apply for some of her family?
How should she bring apply for her spouse and 4 children 7,5,1,1?
Kindly give your best option for the period ? if she needs to get to Canada first or she can apply from Nigeria or she can apply immediately she has her AIP or she can apply for all her kids at once or she can apply for some of them?
None of them were included in the application as accompanying her due to the uncertainty of the outcome.

Thanks in antipication

Hello Demiiii,

It may be better to wait for IRCC to request for it. You can always send the school a gentle reminder if the duration of the previously sent email has exceeded 14days without prior acknowledgement.

All the best

Hello guys,

I have deferred from Fall 2020 to Winter 2021.

I am yet to receive a confirmation from the school.

What do I do next as regards ircc?

Do I wait to get a response from the school before notifying ircc or not?

How do I notify them?

Hello

I was not denied.

My status is yet to be updated. Eligibility check is still being done.

I key into Positive situations and AIP RAIN. I WILL NOT BE DENIED. AMEN

JustMellow:

Hello Demiiii,

The citizenship of your kids wasn't in any the reason for your denial. Its strongly necessary to include their birth certicates in your subsequent application. First thing, request for your notes if you've not done so, in order to be properly guided.

All the best

I included their biodata page and birth cert. I never knew that was wrong.

I even have three children born there and the oldest born in Nigeria. I also have a UK VISA denial few years ago but I never reapplied ever since.

I will have to defer today.

Dos2020:
On the contrary, it’s not a bragging thing, it’s clearly states, the state of birth on their birth certificate. Their citizenships was not in anyway mentioned in the SOP, just states am leaving my kids and my Mum will be taking care of them and I attached birth certificate for all my family, I didn’t even attach their passport bio data page. Just my hubby, Mum and brothers bio data page. Or should I just remove birth certificate for them?

I also clearly stated as one of the reasons for choosing Canada was because of its safety when compared to other top international destinations for study, I went as far as quoting reference to the latest top safe countries in the world with their ranking.

On trying multiple times with US, don’t have any visa denial with US, he couldn’t have concluded as it isn’t stated on visa denial history section and they share database with US to confirm. I clearly stated Uk denial of years ago while I was in school.

Did upfront medical, No medical request.
I have not applied for the gcms note
librangyps:

When did you apply?
Any medical request?
Have you applied for gcms notes?
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by demiiii(f): 1:27pm On Sep 03, 2020
same here. I applied without my kids. I am being positive.

Hopefully, I will get the AIP.

librangyps:

How will she even know what to correct in her reapplication?

I think the grammar in her SOP matters. Like how will her certificate serve her community or country upon her return...

I also applied without my kids and if I get such refusal notes. I will raise more funds and re-apply with my children.

Is this really possible, What will be your excuse for deferring at 50% of your program?

fehinebony:

You wont get a PGWP if you do 100% of your studies online. A question related to this was asked during the indian IRCC webinar that was posted on the previous page. It was advised that one should defer after completing 50% of their studies online

Hello, I will be going to Maryland too. Can you please give me the hospital and doctor you are using.

Am leaving November ending. Was planning on changing my ticket to December 2018.

Adesinm:

Am also due in Feb 2019 and would be leaving late December. Wouldn't mind connecting if we are going to the same location.

I don't think it should be a problem if you are getting in before it expires. If you are due in Feb. I don't think changing your return to same Feb is feasible as baby needs to be a few weeks before you depart.
I'd say leave your ticket as it is and you'll be stamped in for the normal 6 months. Just make sure all other docs are in order.

I plan leaving late Dec as well n due in Feb. Where u heading?

Hello nairalanders,

I need a doctor and a cheaper hospital in Maryland. I am having multiples and the fees are very high. The doctor I got is going to received (2500 X the no of child delivered = $5000) as doctors fee only. Other fees aren't included.

While the hospital fees at PG is starting from 10,000 upward.
I do not know if this will be charged per child delivered.

The doctors I have been getting have stopped accepting self pay patients, they only accept insurance.

HELP IS NEEDED URGENTLY. Please any nairalander with a doctor that accepts self pay patients in Maryland and hospital fees are quite reasonable. Especially multiple birth.
Precisely Maryland. I have a relative there which makes it easier for me.

Thanking you in anticipation.

Not at all. I appreciate you digging out the truth and this will scare fakes away. Its OK. I will just let it take its course

Mamaroon:

Hope you are not offended...FBI runs (aka reading people's previous posts) is my hobby.

No wahala.....if you sincerely think 1 month ticket will not look suspicious...

BUT typical deadline for most airlines is 36 weeks....so 5 weeks on your last trip means your baby arrived at about 37/38 weeks and you were super efficient with documents.......doable!

For this trip, I thought I read that you planned to leave end of Nov and babies (multiple) are due early March (I assume this is already adjusted for the fact that multiples come early).....that is already 2 months.

Anyway, nevermind me undecided what do I know....I'm just bored and nosey......maybe the conversation of "how long are you staying" and "show me your ticket" won't come up at POE....if this is your bet...you might want to consider staying far from Chicago.

Travel / Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by demiiii(f): 5:13am On Oct 03, 2018
I will probably just worry less. Thanks, thus lightened me

simbolee:
I don't think you should worry much, I bought a one month ticket though in 2016, Told the CBP officer i was there for childbirth and would probably be there for 3months and he stamped me in for 6months. The most important thing is been truthful to the cbp officer they don't check your tickets anyway. On changing dates i paid $100 ( a business class ticket though) to change cos i ended up spending 4 months, Just make sure to change before the departure date on your ticket to a more probable date. Like I said earlier the truth at POE will set you free, i renewed this year without hassles.

Travel / Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by demiiii(f): 5:12am On Oct 03, 2018
Thanks.

KennyMKO:

I will advise you to be as honest as possible at POE. If the ticket you bought doesn't jive with how long you claim you want to stay, the officer might suspect foul play and you know what that means. So what I think you can do is to allow your kids to be done with their exam this term by early December. You still have 6 months before visa expiration (besides it's your International Passport that must have 6 months validity). When you are going, prepare your correspondences, budget sheet and your zero balance. Then buy a ticket that reflects March or after your EDD.Tell the CPB officer at POE that you came for vacation and childbirth and your EDD is March so that he can stamp you in to cover the period of childbirth. Good luck
