Thanks.

I will just be as honest as can be.

On the previous post, its obviously because am not too sure of how long I will be staying. I ended up not staying as long. Imagine if I had bought a ticket for 3 months for the previous birth and I ended up staying on 5 weeks

Mamaroon:
Pls say it as it is at CBP...if for childbirth say so...say you are going on holiday at your peril...

I did some research....

previous advice on buying a short term ticket e.g. 1 month when you are likely to stay longer e.g. 3 months by @dere5 below from 2015.

Not sure about change of intent...

For CBP...be armed with burden of proof...previous receipts.....doctor's correspondence...cash or prepayment evidence etc.

All the best

Hello Nairalanders, am planning to go. On another missionary journey.

I need help based on the following.
I have been to the US with my 1st child who was born in Nigeria, we went on vacation after which I had my 1st missionary baby. I notified the embassy by mail with the change by letter of intent.
During the last travel for the missionary journey, I went alone but my husband later joined me and we came home together with the zero balance letters. My 1st child has not travelled since the vacation and I really wish she goes on this one to boost her visa opportunities.

The issue is i am ready for another missionary baby, our visa were renewed via dropbox in 2016 but we were unable to travel on vacation and I have not notified the embassy of the change since I renewed via Dropbox. I intend to to write them a mail at the embassy stating change of intent, but this is solely based on your advise. Now am ready to go on vacation but am also pregnant. This time, am travelling with my kids while my husband joins us later. I will not be due till early march 2019 but since am having multiples and I have read that they come way earlier than the singles.

My problem is I will be travelling late November with my two kids 5 and 3 while my husband joins me later.
I got a ticket for a one month period because I was confused as to how long the period on the ticket should be. There's no one to keep my kids with while I will be away as I did during the last missionary journey. I intend to extend the period on the ticket, depending on when my babies come. I will be staying with a family member for the period of the journey.

The reason for my early travel in late November 2018
1. I intend to enjoy my vacation before the baby comes while am still strong.

2. The fear of the unknown as to when the babies will arrive.

3. Visas expires in June 2019 and we are yet to use it.
The story of entering the USA with a minimum of 6 month period before the visa expiration date.

Am worried as to what the CBP officers may ask

1. If the date on the ticket is too long- 3 -4 months period - why the kids are taken away for that long out of school.
2. If its too short e.g like a month period till late December. I may be asked why the short period on the ticket, since I am also birthing during the period.

Am so confused. I have made up my mind to say vacation only but what if am given a one month visa like they did to a francophone lady. I need your candid advise.

Kindly advise me on the next step to take as I have read all through but, no one has this same case as mine.

Am not ready to take the risk. Hence, my reason for being here.

Thanks NAIRALANDERS

Thanks

Apply for remarking in writing. Go to British Council office, fill the form and raise a draft of 15k at any bank near their office. An increase in your writing score to 7 will increase your CRS by up to 50 points.

Thank you for this information. I spent a lot of money and time. And I was so disappointed.

I better do this myself.

Your agent has not been truthful with you. Read up page zero of this thread to understand the full process. You don't need an agent if you're willing to read stuff by yourself.

The agent got the application fee.
I have a letter from the immigration. I could post the content to help me get a view of what it means. As I am just illiterate to this myself.

On the misrepresentation, I don't know of that and I will like further Information on that.

In conclusion, I am confused about the situation , that is why I am here for help.

Emmasonic4me:
Please what do you mean by the above? How will they reject your application because your score was low after an ITA? I hope the agent has not committed any form of misrepresentation on your behalf? Kindly clarify.

I also hope you didn't give the agent application fee. The 1040CAD I mean.

In my opinion, I think you should ask for a remark in your writing
Beside, what your situation like? ( age, degree and martial status)
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 3 by demiiii(f): 8:13pm On Apr 07, 2018
So if I get then to remark my writing with the 15k, I should get a raise.

fatiah:
Your result is not poor but u need at least a 7 in writing. I think you should raise an EOR i.e a remark of ur result u should hopefully get a raise in ur writing. It would cost you additional 15k if u wrote with BC and 45k with MOD. To know more about this Canadian express entry process and requirements, I would implore you go through the various links on page 0 of this thread.

I have estimated my score and it is 118 for language

By multiplying each score by 4.

Emmasonic4me:
You have not answered the questions I asked in the previous page for clarification.

Meanwhile your result is not bad just that a 7.0 in writing would boost your CRS score. Try and estimate your score too yourself using the crs tool.

By the way, from your questions, it's obvious page 0 needs you badly. Try visit it.

Hello all,
My IELTS written on the 24th of March is out and I. Had 7.5 overall score. Not so impressed but need assistance;

Details are;
Writing - 6.5,
Listening - 9.0,
speaking - 7.0 and
reading - 7.0

I need help on the way forward after this result. I do not have a family member who has permanent residency permit in Canada. Neither do I have a second language nor have I schooled in Canada.

I have previously applied and I submitted my documents but my application was rejected because my score was low. I applied through an agent.

Please what can I do if I do not want to go through an agent again? What's the next step after this IELTS result of 7.5. Thanks in anticipation.

1. ECA reports generally expire after 5 years after which you have to do another evaluation. If When you eventually pass IELTS at this attempt, we'd hope that you get an ITA soon enough as not to need to do another evaluation. God's grace upon you.

No no no. Don't pay via bank transfer. It'll cost you dearly and there are other issues with that process when transferring from Nigeria, I tried it but failed. It's easier to pay with your debit card. Just select the "credit card" payment option and input your debit card details. I believe that was how most, if not all of us here paid. Just save yourself the stress.

Hello guys, I have applied for this before only to be disappointed in myself because I didn't get to enter pool fore low score. I am starting the process all over believing God for his mercies upon my life.

Will be writing my IELTS again for the last time on March 24.
I am so determined to pass it. Am ready to give it all it takes. I have been inspired by stories I have read here.

Questions are

1. I had completed my Wes application in 2014 and have been evaluated on 2014. We are currently in 2018 and I have just been informed that Wes Evaluation is for 5years. Does this mean the evaluation will expire. Did they not evaluate the same results _ masters and bsc?

2. Does it mean I have to upgrade my evaluation from documents to document evaluation -- course by course evaluation.

@ LAGOSISMYHOME Thanks for responding. I really appreciate, I will go ahead and read the page given. Thanks once again.

Also I stated that I didn't mention in any of the schools application form that I will be leaving with my family.
Will that not be against me if I apply WITH MY FAMILY immediately I get the I20.
JUST ASKING, NEED TO BE SURE OF WHAT AND HOW TO GO ABOUT IT.

LagosismyHome:
Why call it a blue passport instead of the country name . There are over 20 countries with blue or green passport . . That been said the Canadian and US Student visa processes are very different so you need to read about each requirement and fully understand both

For the US, the child who a US citizen doesnt need an f2 visa and doesnt need to apply or be put in an application . For the rest of your family . They would be F2. Every dependent need an F-2 Dependent I-20 while yours is F1 i20 .. Same way every dependent needs their DS160 filled as well and pay application fee but only you (F1) pay SEVIS .

YOU can go together as a family or separately. The choice is yours if you want to get yours first

A good link to read to have an overview of dependent f2

Hello guys,

I have applied for this Federal skilled workers program express entry through an agent but I was so disappointed. With myself and I didn't even get to join the pool as I was rejected on the basis of low score, even when I did everything but my IELTS SCORE WAS 7.5 OVERRALL IN 2014. I just got the strength to start the application again and I will be. Writing my IELTS this month end. I am currently going through the thread from the beginning.

My recent applied for an UPGRADE
To upgrade my Document by document evaluation to a Course by Course evaluation. My school had earlier forwarded my Transcripts for both Bsc and MBA to WES in 2014. The Document by Document Evaluation was requested for Immigration purposes while the Course by Course Evaluation is currently needed for Graduate Application.

DEAR NAIRALANDERS,

While applying for an upgrade, I didn't see any where in the WES application, that I can use previously submitted documents to do the upgrade. Can I delete my Wes application if am yet to pay.

How can I pay for Wes. western union online money transfer seems to be the only option I can relate to.

CAN I USE THE WES EVALUATION WHICH IS FOR GRADUATE APPLICATION FOR THE Skilled workers application later or do I need to renew my WES APPLICATION. .

Hello guys,
I have applied to a school in Canada and have completed my application but having my MBA transcript outstanding as the school is currently on strike and am currently not sure if it has been sent.

I am a married with two kids, one has the blue passport while the other has the green passport. My sponsor is my dad and the bank statement shows over 25k dollars. I have applied to a school in Canada as well as 3 schools in USA. My question is if I am eventually given the visa, when do i get to apply for my kids / husband since I didn't include them in the form as accompanying me. I felt, I should apply first before applying for my husband and kid.

Do I need to also apply for the child with the blue passport.
My husband and other kid also have 2yrs US visa.

Please advise me on both instances, Canadian Students Visa and US Students visa.

Kindly advise me. I have typed my questions several times but. I end up deleting it because am confused on what and how to ask the question. I wouldn't want anyone to shut me down. I have. Read so many things on this platform. And I have also made others join for more knowledge and contribution.

Thank you.

Hello guys, I have so many questions to ask but I will take them as I remember.
MY SISTER
Delivered in the USA in 2015 and paid all bills(has her zero balance) but after the expiration of her visa in 2016, she decided not to renew, even by drop box. Now in 2018, she's currently schooling(Masters) in the UK and decided to renew her USA visa but got rejected during the interview. She informed the interviewer that she stayed in USA for three (3) months because she had a baby but she was not with her zero balance letter.
My question is - Can she reapply since She will be back it Lagos in the next 4 weeks and she wants to reapply and also take along her zero balance letter? Hope she would not be rejected again. Need advice urgently.

Thanks Nairalanders.
TravelRe: Main Reasons Many Are Refused Visas by demiiii(f): 1:57am On Mar 02, 2018
Hello , I have been to the US with my family and also had a baby there, we have all renewed visa but
We applied as a family to the UK embassy only to get refused.
Firstly, at the point of submission of documents/ appointment date, my husband's passport was found to be expiring during the said period we chose to go on holiday. But unknown to us, we (myself and my kids) continued the process only to be denied even before my husband reapplied by choosing another date to submit his documents, after paying extra #30,000 to choose a closer date .
My husband who is supposed to be the sponsor of the trip was also rejected because he had earlier applied over ten years ago through an agent who just packaged some misleading information. We also used his company account has the sponsors account but it seems the UK embassy were not satisfied with that.

He also didn't disclose in his application that he had earlier applied for the UK visa because the agent said there was no need since its been 10years since he's last application.

We have been to an immigration lawyer who has been paid a sum of 80k only to do nothing and give us excuses.
My question is We want to reapply but I would like to apply with my kids alone, so we don't get rejected because of my husband's past record . What do you advice we do?

Please note that

I have also come to know most of the so called agents are dullards who takes advantage of peoples unavailability to do things themselves. We have fallen prey to this but the bitter truth of the matter is that, the embassy makes the application process less favourable to applicant than Agents. They usually prefer you go through an agent by making the process of completing the form so difficult. I have filled the form severally and got stuck because I was unable to continue filling the form due to measures / embargo's put in place by the embassy on the application.
