okay bro. All the best.
Good evening. Please, just a quick question for anyone who travelled recently.

Since they now ask for proof of residence before departure and on arrival at the airport, do they verify the residence by calling the house owner or what? Basically, do they verify or they just look at it? I am asking cause my landlord is traveling to Australia and I wouldn't want that they'll call him and he will not be reachable.

Good morning people in the house, please is VFS Abuja still processing visa application? I submitted study visa application since 7th march 2019 and I have heard nothing, but I was advise to visit their office in Abuja that there could be miss up of passport. Please I needs every one contribution.
Track your application, if nothing shows, your visa may be ready.

Sometimes, they don't send notification.
TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Demilade1:
No sir. Same data can be got only from same documents. For instance, my former school would not give them the kind of information they need from my present school. The account details I submitted previously would do nothing for them as I submitted a different one, or is it my SA Police Clearance I did not submit in my first application, but submitted now they would not verify? Basically only my passport did not change in my last application. I did the submission, I know better, and so if I say it's God's grace, I know what I am saying. Please, don't come here and downplay that.

Have you not seen previously (not long ago) people who got their visit visas in 3 weeks and some still waiting for same visa type for 10 weeks (I am sorry, this is not to spite anyone) without any reason? Nothing but God's GRACE!
Swallow that with a grain of salt.

That should have be reason for quick visa.
Not the reason! I applied afresh with different documents for a new school. Just God's grace!

Bro I don't understand

You mean you were granted two visas in a year?
Yes. I wrote here sometime ago that I wanted to change the condition of my visa cause I wouldn't want to go to the school I got visa for. I even asked if I needed to apply afresh and people responded yes. I applied afresh again for the school I wanted this time and yea the visa is out.

First,

My brother is the sponsor he has his own business here so he used his business account. So insufficient fune isn't really the problem cos there were over hundreds of thousands rand there as is his business account.

An agent assisted my sis to ensure every other things are in oder. So I dont know if the amount in my sis account influenced it, but say around 7 hundred thousand niara
Sorry about that! I think you should correct whatever their complaint was hinged on and reapply quickly. You may still be able to meet up with July resumption. How long did your application take?

hey bro, I did study visa for someone last year which got denied, can I still get a refund on the momentum which expired March this year ?
Yea! Write to Nikita. Explain in details what happened. Be ready to provide the person's denied visa and a proof (passport) that he/she has not been in SA since the denial.
You will be refunded.

Momentum....

How do one go about?
Write to Nikita (You will see his email on their poster). Explain to him and he will ask you to provide your denied visa as a proof for your claim. Then refund form will be sent to you to fill, and in less than one week you will be refunded.

I got his email address: Nikita.Balram@momentum.co.za

Hello guys, please I need your kind contribution.
I am planning to resubmit the application for the renewal of my study permit.
I just want to know if I can submit the certified true copy of my South African
Police Clearance Certificate.
I submitted the original to the embassy during my first application that was
rejected in January. And applying for a new SAPS certificate will take close to
two months which honestly I don't have.
I was advised by a travel consultant that it should be acceptable, that I just add a
motivation letter explaining the situation.
I have all my other documents ready including the original Nigeria Police certificate.
Please guys what do you think?
Thanks.
Yes, do as the consultant said. Since you have not been to SA since your last Police Clearance, just explain in your application. My study permit that I recently got had no SA police clearance because at the time I was leaving SA, the certificate wasn't ready yet. However, I did a police affidavit in SA before leaving to support my claim. I attached the affidavit, PC application receipt, Nig. Police Clearance to my visa application. And was visa was granted.

Is this the same message that was on your dashboard when you tracked or "ready for collection" which of them please.
There was no message at all on my dashboard. The "your application is under assessment" thing disappeared.

Hi guys,

My dashboard changed to this "Your application has been assessed by "The South Africa High Commission,Lagos" and is being returned to the LAGOS."

Does it mean its ready for collection?

Please someone should help. I have not gotten an email though.
I didn't get an email/SMS when mine was ready. Yes, your visa is out!

Guys, please I have a question. What is the procedure for South African change of visa conditions? I have a visa for a school but I have decided to go to another school (based on personal reasons). My school has not allowed me to register unless I change my visa conditions to be endorsed for study in the school. will I have to start all over again with the documents? Will I have to wait as long as a fresh applicant waits? Does anyone have an answer to my question? Thank you

The advice I can give your friend is to flee from lagos for the meantime.
Ask anybody here, lagos have delay people unnecessarily and even deny people with unscrupulous excuses.

Try abuja or PH.
But lagos is a no no

Just my naive advice sha.
Thank you

Guys, a friend is asking for my advice, but I want to hear the opinions of others. She wants to submit her application against June. She is asking whether to submit in Lagos or Abuja. Based on what I went through I told her Abuja, but the truth is I don't know the real situation in the Abuja embassy. Also, I don't know if Lagos has been able to deal with their backlog, thereby not delaying visas anymore.
Please, advise!

Guys, my visa is out and it's positive. I submitted on January 2nd. Exactly 10 weeks today.

May God grant the desires of everyone still on the queue.

NB
I wasn't sent an SMS neither was I sent an email. I just got a call from a DHL guy who came to deliver it. Then I tried to track my application and the "under assessment" thing disappeared. Not like they even said my application has been forwarded to VFS.
TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Demilade1: 6:08pm On Mar 12, 2019
Please, is there anyone who submitted between January 2nd-5th and still waiting?

Got conference visa after 5 weeks.

As someone said they is a pile of passports at VFS...maybe people are not checking their emails or its delivering to spam.

Maybe people can just go to VFS to see if theirs is there.
Congrats!
Is it possible that they don't send emails, SMS, and when someone tracks their application, it still writes "under assessment...."
I would have tried to go check mine, but the tracking part is what discourages me, especially because I live far from Lagos.

Hello Buddy.. Thank for your response..

If someone applied and the application date states March, But the Visa was not approved on time. Will the Visa be given to accommodate the Duration the person needs it or the date specified. I need an urgent response please. Thanks
I once applied on 17 January 2017 to start my program early February (I took for granted it won't take more than two weeks for my visa to be out). It was a year program so I applied for January - December. My visa came out early April. I couldn't start my programme cause registration had passed. I had to resume in the second semester which was July. However, the duration was not increased. Basically the visa lasted me for just 6 months. I had to renew it in SA

Please, has anyone been to the embassy in Lagos lately? What is the place like? Do they allow people in for complaint? What are the chances one will see anyone to talk to?
Please, I need your response.
