finix77:Sorry for the late response. I just saw your post. Yes, I submitted my documents afresh: Filled form Police Clearance Yellow Card Statement of Account SA Police Clearance (was in SA b4) International Passport Offer Letter Medical Aid Proof of Residence Itinerary 2 Passport Photographs with White Background Letter of Introduction |
ZubyDee:Good evening. Please, just a quick question for anyone who travelled recently. Since they now ask for proof of residence before departure and on arrival at the airport, do they verify the residence by calling the house owner or what? Basically, do they verify or they just look at it? I am asking cause my landlord is traveling to Australia and I wouldn't want that they'll call him and he will not be reachable. |
Syinkus:No, Lagos |
andrew444:Yes, you can cause in my last application I used my Rand account. |
Syinkus:Track your application, if nothing shows, your visa may be ready. Sometimes, they don't send notification. |
No sir. Same data can be got only from same documents. For instance, my former school would not give them the kind of information they need from my present school. The account details I submitted previously would do nothing for them as I submitted a different one, or is it my SA Police Clearance I did not submit in my first application, but submitted now they would not verify? Basically only my passport did not change in my last application. I did the submission, I know better, and so if I say it's God's grace, I know what I am saying. Please, don't come here and downplay that. Have you not seen previously (not long ago) people who got their visit visas in 3 weeks and some still waiting for same visa type for 10 weeks (I am sorry, this is not to spite anyone) without any reason? Nothing but God's GRACE! Swallow that with a grain of salt. |
Iamgrey5:Not the reason! I applied afresh with different documents for a new school. Just God's grace! |
timaji2003:I used my South African bank account. I had R47,000 in it. It's MSC |
Iamgrey5:Yes. I wrote here sometime ago that I wanted to change the condition of my visa cause I wouldn't want to go to the school I got visa for. I even asked if I needed to apply afresh and people responded yes. I applied afresh again for the school I wanted this time and yea the visa is out. |
Hey guys! Below are the details of my application: Submission Date - April 8, 2019 Place of Submission - VFS Lagos Visa Type - Study Call for Pickup - June 7, 2019 Status - Granted May God grant the desire of everyone! |
Mimicle101:Sorry about that! I think you should correct whatever their complaint was hinged on and reapply quickly. You may still be able to meet up with July resumption. How long did your application take? |
Predstan:Whatever! |
ZubyDee:Yea! Write to Nikita. Explain in details what happened. Be ready to provide the person's denied visa and a proof (passport) that he/she has not been in SA since the denial. You will be refunded. |
lordwilliem:Write to Nikita (You will see his email on their poster). Explain to him and he will ask you to provide your denied visa as a proof for your claim. Then refund form will be sent to you to fill, and in less than one week you will be refunded. I got his email address: Nikita.Balram@momentum.co.za |
2fine2fast:Yes, do as the consultant said. Since you have not been to SA since your last Police Clearance, just explain in your application. My study permit that I recently got had no SA police clearance because at the time I was leaving SA, the certificate wasn't ready yet. However, I did a police affidavit in SA before leaving to support my claim. I attached the affidavit, PC application receipt, Nig. Police Clearance to my visa application. And was visa was granted. |
timilehingeorge:There was no message at all on my dashboard. The "your application is under assessment" thing disappeared. |
timilehingeorge:I didn't get an email/SMS when mine was ready. Yes, your visa is out! |
samtol4:Thank you |
Guys, please I have a question. What is the procedure for South African change of visa conditions? I have a visa for a school but I have decided to go to another school (based on personal reasons). My school has not allowed me to register unless I change my visa conditions to be endorsed for study in the school. will I have to start all over again with the documents? Will I have to wait as long as a fresh applicant waits? Does anyone have an answer to my question? Thank you |
blackone1989:Thank you |
Guys, a friend is asking for my advice, but I want to hear the opinions of others. She wants to submit her application against June. She is asking whether to submit in Lagos or Abuja. Based on what I went through I told her Abuja, but the truth is I don't know the real situation in the Abuja embassy. Also, I don't know if Lagos has been able to deal with their backlog, thereby not delaying visas anymore. Please, advise! |
Guys, my visa is out and it's positive. I submitted on January 2nd. Exactly 10 weeks today. May God grant the desires of everyone still on the queue. NB I wasn't sent an SMS neither was I sent an email. I just got a call from a DHL guy who came to deliver it. Then I tried to track my application and the "under assessment" thing disappeared. Not like they even said my application has been forwarded to VFS. |
Please, is there anyone who submitted between January 2nd-5th and still waiting? |
Mamaroon:Congrats! Is it possible that they don't send emails, SMS, and when someone tracks their application, it still writes "under assessment...." I would have tried to go check mine, but the tracking part is what discourages me, especially because I live far from Lagos. |
Johny2015:Mine is January 2 |
slickruler:I once applied on 17 January 2017 to start my program early February (I took for granted it won't take more than two weeks for my visa to be out). It was a year program so I applied for January - December. My visa came out early April. I couldn't start my programme cause registration had passed. I had to resume in the second semester which was July. However, the duration was not increased. Basically the visa lasted me for just 6 months. I had to renew it in SA |
Please, has anyone been to the embassy in Lagos lately? What is the place like? Do they allow people in for complaint? What are the chances one will see anyone to talk to? Please, I need your response. |
