Propre: I've registered several domain name in the past, on average it takes about 7 days to get a response from Randy, ...
Yes Propre that was before the present impasse and Randy Bush is not particularly encouraged to continuing carrying on his service. Anyway a new non-governmental organisation NIRA has been established to manage it. For the time being, the impasse continues.

My only disagreement is the domain name chosen. I would expect something along

www.army.mil.ng
Not too sure about this, but I believe that the process of getting an ng domain name is so tortuous and problematic that most people just use either .com, .net or .org.

I think there's currently some confusion over who should manage the registration of ng domain names - but even when this is sorted out, it will still take ages to register an ng domain name because of the stupid bureaucracy and incompetence that Nigerians like introducing into a simple task.
I understand. NITDA was established to oversee the domain crisis but private stakeholders too want in. Its a debacle and its affecting the proper naming and organising of domain names.

Sounds like the case of an african father "losing control" of his first born, and not being happy about it.  ALl of a sudden your little baby is all grown up and wants to live life in his own way, but being an African father you're going to tighten your grip on him until he finally rebels spectacularly and breaks free!

I want to read it already!
Yeah, Iit shows the dictatorial tendency in each of us. We tend to think only our leaders as dictators but every family is headed by one I think.

chimanu2000: Forget all the gist about dirty money; if he's made so much dirty money and made it into the empire that he has today then there's something for us all to learn.
I don't know whether he made it from dirty money, but if he did I'm against forgeting it. It is only in Nigeria we allow the end to justify the means. I'm against that.

But I think Dangote made his money from legitimate sources: his trailers and the cement company (though not sure).
