Arrowhead71:Where in all these does Trump's ambition to grab Gaza fall? How does his owning Gaza make the life of a Nigerian Christian in a small village in Plateau or Southern Kaduna safer? |
skywalker240:How do you then explain the following "red lettered", direct saying of Christ in Matthew 5? 38 “You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.’ 39 But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. 40 If anyone wants to sue you and take away your tunic, let him have your cloak also. 41 And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two. 43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 [o]But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, 45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. 19 Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. Ask yourself this simple question, would Jesus have "liked" Trump's post? |

This is terrible. I can only imagine how distressed their families are right now. May the Almighty keep this young ladies unharmed and grant their safe return and may we never experience such in our lives. Amen. To OP: the letter and the article mention 3 ladies, why do you have 4 in your title? Please amend title to avoid misinformation. |
InfoGuru118:Very unfortunate incident. RIP to the souls of the departed. A final-year Computer Science student could develop a timetable app that assigns exam venues based on hall capacities and the number of students taking each exam. The project could also recommend splitting exams into different sessions or types if venue constraints make it necessary. He/she could dedicate the work to the memory of his school mates who lost their lives in the stampede. By the way, the following is an observation for the SUG people dem. The letter has a mixed audience problem; originally addressed to students, but the penultimate paragraph directs recommendations to deans. This section should instead be moved to a separate letter addressed directly to deans, then referenced in this student-facing letter only to inform the students of the steps the SUG has already taken e.g., "Recommendations have been shared with academic leadership to address this issue, including...". |
When the price of a litre of PMS and cooking gas surpassed N1000, and a loaf of bread went for N1,700. That was when I realized that we're truly in seriously deep sh!t. |
naptu2:May the Almighty continue to protect and uphold you, mommy. May you always have the courage, wisdom and grace to discharge your duties. We celebrate your contribution to the nation and appreciate the sacrifices you make to protect us all. God bless and keep you, ma. |
ColonelMichael:Israel has been fighting its neighbours around that same piece of land for thousands of years before Islam ever surfaced. Read your Bible. |
Arrowhead71:This comment reveals where your bias lies. Correct me if I’m wrong, but this reflects a common "Christian" perspective that frames the conflict through a religious lens—as an "us versus them" narrative, pitting "good" Christians/Jews against "bad" Muslims/terrorists. While Christianity, as Jesus taught in the parable of the Good Samaritan, is meant to foster empathy for our neighbours and the suffering, it can also be twisted to dull our moral instincts as I'm assuming it has done to you. When self-serving individuals weaponize faith for propaganda, it can lead people to celebrate or justify evil, betraying the very compassion that Jesus' teachings aim to nurture. |
ColonelMichael:You assume too much. I'm not a Muslim. The number includes Israeli lives lost as well. The attack on Israel on Oct 7th is absolutely reprehensible. I'll never celebrate the killing of innocent people regardless of their race, religion or creed. To reiterate what I've already stated, the opportunistic land grab to satisfy vested interests is appalling and celebrating the intention in the brazen manner Trump has is even more disgusting. |
Gandollar:I'm neither Yoruba, nor Muslim. |
Arrowhead71:It's not only about the number of life lost, it's about the sanctity of the human life. Is everyone in that number, including the innocent children, a terrorist? What about the several dozens of Palestinian Christians affected? Mind you I included even the number of Israeli soldiers lost in the war in that number—they too have parents, siblings, wives, husbands and children that'll miss them and not trade their lives for a million hectares of land. While the terrorist attack on Israeli is absolutely reprehensible, and the war is an unfortunate reality that arose from that, but does it justify grabbing a land that is thoroughly soaked in blood to satisfy vested interests? Add salt to injury, mock them about it because you're the strong man that can take whatever you want from the weakest and most vulnerable. |
PressMyButton:I've highly skeptical about headlines like this but if truly legit, then congratulations Nigerians and good job Cardoso. |
Shameful. Very shameful. Honestly, this post by Trump is in extremely poor taste and deeply disrespectful. This is a land where over 50,000 lives have been lost since the war started, and countless families have suffered unimaginable pain and loss. To trivialize such a tragic and ongoing crisis for what seems like a publicity stunt for his greedy land grab plan is beyond insensitive. It shows a complete lack of empathy for the people who have endured so much by mocking their suffering. This is a new low. |
The way we paint all women with one brush dey worry me as someone who hopes to marry a woman soon. Because if every woman is truly how we describe them in these jokes, then no be marriage person go find—na endurance race. But I’d like to believe these generalizations are just stereotypes—like saying all Igbos are this or all Yorubas are that (with "this" and "that" usually being some bad trait). And we all know that’s not the case for every single person in any group. Yes, women get similarities, but human beings dey unique. Just as they come in different colours, shapes, and sizes, their wahala—or lack of it—also dey vary. Even twins wey comot from the same womb no dey always behave the same. I want to believe that loyal, kind, supportive, generous and reasonable women exist. And I refuse to believe say my own destiny dey tied to shege pro max. If good women dey, the Divine—wey know how much I go appreciate am—go connect me with one when the time reach. And when that happens, I go hold her like last card on a broke day and never take her for granted. That being said, I no go lie—it’s alarming how often I see the very traits we joke about in the women I’ve experienced. It makes posts like this hit close to home. Sometimes, e go be like say the pettiness wey OP talk about na factory setting, embedded inside their DNA. But deep down, I know say no be every woman be like that. My own better half no fit miss road—because I no fit settle for premium breakfast package. |
Kobicove:How do you know this? |
iamnotillicit:How do you know this? |
AlbertNewton:Common sense oo, oh bro. I never marry. |
Love is blind, love is blind—but after you marry, the shege go clear comot from your eye. You go face your selection with a brazenly naked face, no filter, no soft light. No matter who you end up with, there will be days when you’ll wonder if village people pushed you into the marriage. That’s why it’s better to choose someone who won’t be too easy to hate. Beauty with good character and a smooth personality is the jackpot, but if you can’t get all three in one human being, prioritize character. Just know that if attraction no dey, tolerating them go be like swallowing eba without soup—you’ll be saying, "I can't believe I married this rubbish". |

Melagros:Are you not aware that it is a Russian Propaganda Account? |
Are they selling food or women? |
puremaker7:You don't realize the value of what you have until you lose it. It's not their fault, it is part of the human condition. |
omoredia:Interesting. Can we apply this advice to OP's situation? |
omoredia:What do you advice they do? Opportunities are scarce, with a large unemployed pool. Where do you live and what do you do for a living to afford 400k/month dog food? |
Congratulations on the offer. Although, it isn't a good one for all the reasons you've mentioned. Even if they agree to pay 200-220, will it cover transportation, feeding and the other bills? Still not sustainable, me thinks. Can you renew your contract at your current job while you continue seeking for better opportunities? 100k take-home can't take you home even if you're working from home. All said, don't panic, we'll prosper in 2025. I have a strong feeling about this. You and I will prosper, we'll hammer and hit big money. Keep exploring new opportunities, double the hustle and stay focused. Bless up, my bro! |
More blessings, more wins. Amen. |
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.1 Corinthians 13:4-8a. |
