OneOnland:They need to start kicking these bloodthirsty ßastàrds out of their countries. |
ufotunang:You're asking them to dispose off their cash cow? Why would they want to do that? |
I fight fierce and relentless demons; the bigger they are, the harder they fall. |
I'm in 3 WhatsApp groups for just extended family, I've never met 70% of the total number of people on these groups, neither have I ever commented save when I was added. |
MadPolitician:Imagine this: a 1.24 million bpd refinery in India cost $6 billion to set up, while rehabilitating a 60,000 bpd refinery in Nigeria, operating at just 70% capacity, has already cost $1 billion. Now, less than a month after operations began, issues are already piling up. Nigeria is gone. O ti lọ. |
Jomonix:Spot on! Just to add, while these choices may be diverse and individualistic, they are not all created equal. Some are simply terrible choices judging by their outcomes. When millions welcome it it becomes normalized, and it ultimately harms society when enough people make such choices. While tolerance of divergent views and lifestyle choices is crucial to counter society's potentially oppressive and tyrannical tendencies, we must draw the line somewhere—otherwise, the whole thing risks crumbling into filth. |
Fun thread LMAO! Las las, na political correctness and fake-ass wokeness wey go end this world. WWIII, COVID 50, asteroids dem, alien invasion dey look us like, "Una no need us; una go use una own hand finish everything." ==================== My favorite commenters: Samantha125 – Na real ogbonge troll. TheBillyonaire:But wouldn’t a mind recognize itself even in the absence of awareness of its containing body? Consciousness sometimes manifests in the dream world as an incorporeal point of view, almost as if it floats above the events as they unfold. Although I haven’t personally experienced the boundary-dissolving effects of certain mind-altering substances, I’ve heard they can break the mind free from the perception of being confined to a body—perhaps without losing its history/memory, or personality (at least not entirely), and without losing the awareness of individuality. So why, then, is it essential for the soul, upon the demise of its host body and while transitioning to another dimension, to retain its corporeal blueprint for the sole purpose of self-identification? With its senses amplified by several magnitudes and gaining capabilities far beyond what this "tip-of-the-iceberg" existence allows; including all-encompassing knowledge and transcending space-time, shouldn’t it be able to self-identify even if swimming in a boundless sea of souls, flowing together without boundaries? I like the idea of the preeminence of intention as a distinguishing factor between the soul and the divine. Circling back to the original post and your initial comment, I’m developing a perspective where humans are bodies and minds inhabited by superlunary souls. If the body-mind is a puppet, then "soul-intentions" are the strings that move it. At death, these strings are severed. How close, or far away, is this view to your belief? |
This has gotten even more interesting. What is this worldview called? I want to learn more. TheBillyonaire:Using the analogy of a game, when we play, there are often in-game objectives designed to engage and challenge the mind which ultimately contributing to the overarching goal of entertainment. What, then, is the purpose of the game we call reality? How is it structured? Is there "winning" or "losing"? What is the fundamental architecture of the "engine" that drives it? What is the nature of absolute reality—beyond the 0.012% we can perceive? If reality is designed as a playground for souls, most of whom experience it purely through sensory perception as rendered by the mind and mediated by the body's sensory apparatuses, why does 99.98% of it remain imperceivable? Wouldn't it seem wasteful to construct a world where only the tiniest fraction is ever rendered for the vast majority of players? The randomizer responsible for the vast spectrum of physical and mental variance among corporeal characters would have to execute only upon entry into this realm at the instantiation of a soul. If that is the case, are these celestial beings discrete, independent consciousnesses before they enter this realm? If so, how can they all simultaneously exist as omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent without overlapping? |
May our hands never bring our own downfall. Amin. |
The cost has spiked dramatically, becoming increasingly elusive to the multitude pursuing it. |
How much would it cost to renovate a 4-bedroom house (with 2 toilets and 1 kitchen) on a 50x50-meter footprint? A rough estimate will be sufficient, nothing extravagant or particular classy. The scope of work is listed below: * Replace PVC ceiling with new POP ceilings. * Repaint the interior and exterior walls, including the fence. * Upgrade toilet plumbing fixtures (sink, toilet, faucets, etc.) * Install new kitchen cabinets and countertops. * Replace or install modern light fixtures. * Landscaping, including hedges and lawn. Location: Far North. |
Zionmdde:Even though a heart attack could be plausible, since she died in his house and there aren't other witnesses to corroborate his account, it'll will be difficult for him to prove his innocence unless an autopsy conclusively rules out foul play. Na Naija we dey, he’s unlikely to be let off easily unless he plays ball. **************** Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from all evil. Amen 🙏🏾 |
How old? Congratulations 🎉 Wishing you long life in good health and greater exploits. |
TheBillyonaire:This is very interesting, Billy. What do you reckon is the true essence of reality? Also, why do you think the soul would bear resemblance to the physical body since, I imagine, it would have no need for either the anatomical or physiological functions that necessitate the physical form? Without a physical context to define it, what would underpin this solely electromagnetic self? Coming from the understanding that thoughts arise from neural activity and memory stored in the physical entity, how would this soul be able to retain these capacities and interact with their products? While different souls experience their moment of self reflection modeled on their beliefs, what will be the equivalent for the materialist atheist who doesn't believe in an afterlife? |
A little fix to the title: A Lot of Married Men are Committing Adultery with Divorced Women. 😈 |
Our brothers and sisters in Ogoniland, can you confirm this? |
Short version: I believe some people are born without a conscience, while others lose it gradually through their experiences and choices. Long version: I tend to view conscience as a trait that exists on a spectrum, much like intelligence (IQ). Just as some individuals are genius level smart while others are plain stewp!d (through no fault of their own), the capacity for conscience varies among people. Some people have a super sensitive conscience and can't get away with anything bad without guilt (we call these people "god-fearing" in Nigeria regardless of actual faith in God) while at the other end you have boko boys that can slit another human's throat like a chicken and sleep like a baby hours later. I believe conscience arises from a combination of a mental capacity for empathy, compassion, and early socialization—sort of an "indoctrination", for want of a better word, of the code of ethics of a society into the pysche of a person from early childhood. The socialization aspect of conscience can be eroded over time. The guilt someone feels after committing an act they initially perceive as wrong can diminish with repetition, eventually disappearing altogether. In contemporary lingo we say something has been normalized. For example, it seems OS and Yahoo have been normalized in Nigeria. When something is normalized it becomes part of culture of a people and culture is a key component of socialization; the development of sensitivity/conscience. When a vice is normalized people in that society no longer feel guilty for committing it. It is why a father and mother can be the managers of their own daughter's OF career. |
Westman001:That makes sense. I get your point and absolutely agree with you about the state of our society, particularly the entrenched greed and the dog-eat-dog dynamics it creates. That said, based on our interaction in this thread, I believe I’m not wrong to conclude that neither of us knows for certain that the ex-refinery price of PMS can be N500 or below. I know many may not agree and might call it praising mediocrity, but while we are rightfully bitter over the terrible state of things, we should at least not be outrightly critical of matters we don’t have the facts about, when we can commend the little progress the country makes. |
Westman001:My brother, I'd be the happiest person if PMS sells for under N500. I agree with you about the human tendency to maximize profits and to take it too far. It's not just a Nigerian thing; it's ingrained in the human spirit, only curtailed by market forces or policy interventions. However, in pointing this out, let's not make hasty conclusions that could be misleading. There's no benefit in vilifying a business or individual unjustly—especially one that has achieved what none other has achieved in the country and infuses the sector with much needed competition. That said, I'm not absolving Dangote of anything. I'm simply asking, in the interest of knowledge and to set the facts straight, that you explain how it's possible for Dangote, all factors considered, to sell at the price you mentioned. A man who makes a claim should substantiate it, I'm sure you're aware that the burden of proof is on the one who makes a claim. It would be very enlightening if you could spell out how this stunt can be pulled off in concrete terms. I'm open-minded and keen to learn from you. Regarding the Indian market situation, I brought it up as a backdrop to better understand what's achievable in a similar market, not to serve as a definitive model for us. A question that'll quickly help us address this is: What does it cost Dangote to refine 1 liter of PMS? Do you have a definite answer or not? |
aimoks:Brother, this exact stream of thought has flowed through my mind more times than I can count. I like how you articulated it. I believe that anything responsible for the universe is insulted by the attributes ascribed to it by most religions. The notion of man being created in the image of God is arrogant, because what it really shows in their holy texts is a god created in the image of man. Whatever is responsible for creation is beyond human description and comprehension, and is very unlikely to share the human qualities that it has been boxed into. |

Interesting. Thanks for sharing. |
LegendHero:I'm similarly inclined, but I haven't seen any conclusive data to confirm this so when people like Westman001 claim pump price should be N500 or less, I wonder how reasonable their claims are. |
LegendHero:OK, ignoring all levies and taxes, a base price of ₦1,047.41 is still more than 100% higher than ₦500. I understand that the dealer needs to make a profit by adding their own margin, as well as the retailer, so the actual Refinery Gate Price will give us a clearer picture. Unfortunately, I can't find this data for any specific refinery. Do you have access to any data that could help? The question we're trying to answer is: What does it cost Dangote to refine 1 liter of PMS? This should determine whether ₦500 can be profitable. |
Westman001:For context, the largest refinery in the world is the Jamnagar Refinery in Gujarat, India, with a capacity of 1.24 million BPD. As of today (19 December 2024), the current pump price of PMS in Gujarat State is ₹94.29, which is equivalent to NGN 1,739.57 (using an exchange rate of 1/18.4492). I'm genuinely curious about your explanation of how Dangote Refinery can sell PMS at NGN 500/L while remaining profitable, especially given the $5.5 billion loan required to establish the refinery. How would they achieve this and still break even within a reasonable timeframe? |
ProfesawFred:Also didn't mention which year the computer was bought. |
OP misled with the title and y'all didn't listen to the conversation in the clip. According to the Hookee, he said he met her at an ATM near his house. They started chatting on Facebook as friends and she asked to visit him. That was when it happened. He said he tracked her using her friend. Her friend probably snitched her out. |
Semaj77:Wahala Pro Max |
Just the other day it was some 23 yo girl who was ran through by 100 guys in one day. She's already training to do 1000 next year and she says she's proud her father's friends watch her videos. Imagine being this girl's father, how crushed can a man be? These people have lost it wallahi! Technology has enabled the unprecedented explosion of the sex market. And I'm no saint, but this mass commercialization of indecency is not going to end well. Raising a daughter in this generation is no joke wallahi. |
