VISA COLLECTED. yea i think i collected my Visa together with clandestine on the 4th of February being Wednesday. Had my interview on the 16th of January, collected Visa on the 4th of February. All thanks to you guys who were with me. (with Eke40Stephen as contact point)

Presented my IGI 3-months health insurance and received my visa as well (not this week though- last week) for SS15, Bsc Informatic through Studienkolleg Mainz with the aufnahmetest!

I am new to this thread(part 1 and 2) and more of an observer, not a poster.

German student interview questions are the same. I was asked exactly all the questions thrown at Eke and co. Even my 2nd interview I had the same questions thrown at me. So there's nothing to panic about. Follow Eke's guide and u'll be successful.

Dear Eke40Seven i love ur interview encounter post. I also had my Visa interview on 16th of January. I want to no if u have gotten a reply (Visa Offer) from the embassy. Also how long did it take for them to contact u after ur interview

I think the embassy has been more than fair to me. I had my ist visa interview on the 17th of Dec last year. The next 2 days being 19th I got an email from the embassy to come. And that was my rejection letter coming to me on time. Well it was all my fault so I understood the rejection. I went to the emabssy on 22nd of Dec but met anoda Consular (not the asian) who said she could not find my file. Was asked to come back on January 5th. Dat's how my time was wasted but not embassy's fault but celebration period. Once I got my rejection letter on the 5th, I reapplied the same day, got an interview appointment email the nxt day scheduled on 16th Jan. I've had a wonderful 2nd interview and optimistically waiting for a positive answer.

In your sister's case, I think she should appeal if u people are sure no serious fault is from u. Appeal saves time and money. Again, making an appeal depends on the nature of their reason for rejection. I reapplied because I didn't have a satisfactory oral interview.

If u could tell me what the outcome her invitation by the embassy is, I could make an informed suggestion.

Dear your sibilings case is pathetic. Chances are always there that such cases amount to a rejection. I just had that experience in December. Now ask your sibling how her performance was at the oral interview. Or let her go first and no wot the problem could be. No insurance request means no Visa. However there are slim chances of the embassy needing further clarifications. All the same, let her be strong

See the solution to this country's problem will not come by parmenent loyalty or sentiments. Much as I agree with the writer on discouraging the squandermenia mentality of the Africans with regard to time management, I wish to state that the the writer did not unearth the etymology of the term "African Time". Yes we had African time. Before the coming of the europeans, Africans have the sense but has no measure of time. Time and seasons are measured by the moon (full moon, half moon, sunset, sunrise, the position of the human shadows etc) and movement of the solar system. For Africans then if a meeting is to be held by sunset on the dot anything between 6pm to 8pm is still in order. And no one ever complained cos there was no tool to judge. However in this modern day, African time is now used in a perjorative sense by the Africans themselves to mock themselves unfortunately. But is obvious that Africans have sense of time. Eg., the civil servants and salary workers dare not appear late at their posts. I think time mismanagement is a general problem peculiar to the whites and blacks. Go to US and see wot guys do in clubs for a whole day. Again, some Africans and the whites also know how to keep to time. I, as a perseon, do not joke with time. I attend every function 30 minutes before the time.

U. No the whites they need loads of psychological help.
