Krak:Ok sir |
1Dray:I apologise for my crude comment too. Will retract that comment now. Cheers |
Even before the elections. ...as early as even before first tranche, we had discussions on the continuity of youwin should a new government come into power. I can remember vividly that I advocated for our first tranche to be treated as if it would be the last tranche...A lot of sane people also said this. I treated my first tranche as the last tranche and my business can survive without any additional funding. However, due to some other people's business peculiarity, it might not be possible. It does not mean they are unwise and the use of such words to describe awardees should be frowned at. We are now at this cross road.. ..We have wto options; to keep on bickering or to come together as one voice to find a solution. |
Krak:I would prefer you come out bold in your assertions. If you have grudges with either me or my posts, be bold enough to point them out. Making blanket assumptions and diplomatically calling me unwise is what I would not tolerate. I have pointed out in my earlier posts that being neutral is not the best way to go. Yes, it takes wisdom to run a business.... and a wise person would have prepared for the probability of a government change. Trying to prevent a change in government is also a business decision. And do you think I stand not to defend anything I say online? I am not a ghost and people know how to get to me. My argument remains...If you are an awardee and still clamoured for a change in government, then you should have made plans for other financial sources. Let's focus on the facts and leave personal sentiments out of this discussion. Now that we have a new government coming in by May, our steam should be directed at our future prospects instead of fanning personal egos. Did you campaign for Buhari? |
globaldream:Ok... |
Tires were originally in white... Originally rubber tires were white, which is the natural color of rubber. In the early 1900s, Binney & Smith began selling their carbon black chemicals to Goodrich Tire Company, as it was found that the use of carbon black in rubber manufacturing significantly increased certain desirable qualities for rubber meant to be turned into tires. (Binney & Smith would later switch to making school products, and, eventually, re-name their company after their most popular product, Crayola Crayons.) In any event, carbon black works as a reinforcing filler in rubber, which increases the durability and strength of the rubber. Specifically, adding about 50% by weight of carbon black increases the road-wear abrasion of the produced tire by as much as 100 fold and improves the tensile strength of the tire by as much as 1008%. For the uninitiated, the tensile strength is the amount of force needed to pull something to its breaking or bursting point. Adding carbon black also helps conduct heat away from certain hot spots on the tire; specifically, in the tread and belt areas, which can get particularly hot at times while driving. This reduces thermal damage on the tire, further extending its lifespan. http://www.todayifoundout.com/index.php/2011/07/making-tires-black-instead-of-the-natural-white-color-of-rubber-produces-a-much-stronger-and-longer-lasting-tire/ |
Krak:I disagree. In business, decisions that would affect the going concern status of the entity are never joked with. Political situations or risks are always critically analysed and mitigants put into place. Every youwin 3 business had to make a political decision based on their future financial outlays. Indifference or non-alignment would have been a wrong strategy. Politics is business and business is politics. Dangote is a savvy business man with very strong political skills. He might not campaign openly but he funds every major opponent discreetly.....and they all know it. The Nigerian Corporate Forum (of with Dangote is a member) was aligned to GEJ. Every youwin 3 awardee who was politically 'neutral' took a wrong business decision except the remaining 70% of funding was not critical to the business for the 2015 year plan. |
Expect a new programme. ..youwin will come under a new name and new process. Just be on the watch out |
30 whole minutes after you accuse someone and you can't provide the proof? I move on. |
^^^^^^^^ Still waiting.... |
^^^^^^ still waiting for the proof. |
1Dray:Comment retracted . |
I don't think any sensible and business savvy youwin awardee would have campaigned against GEJ except some who has embezzled the first tranche. 1Dray, you cannot accuse a whole body just on your assumptions. Thanks |
Good morning |
NOW THAT GMB IS IN POWER.... Possible Scenarios. . 1. GEJ instructs secretariat to pay all outstanding tranches irrespective of milestone. 2. Tranche 2 milestone goes on as planned with payments happening before may 29th. Third tranche not coming in. 3. GEJ dumps all interest in pet projects and focuses on leaving aso rock. Scenario 2 is more likely in my own opinion. Scenario 1 is my wish but seems not feasible as the government currently has overspent during elections and meeting recurrent expenses for the next 60 days would be of greater priority. With scenario 3, the fate of the programme lies in the benevolence of GMB. He is not expected to continue with the scheme because: - it is a pet project of the incumbent. Most of the opposition were never a beneficiary and would want it scrapped. - GMB is expected to have his own pet projects which would be similar and even at competition with youwin. -GMB has made so much promises that recurrent and capital expenses are expected to double in the next few months. So many cost cutting measures are expected. Sorry guys, first tranche was it. |
Good morning. Please when is the next meeting? I would love to attend. |

Good morning... |
rationalmind:You are right....my calculation was wrong (just woke up then ) but my point was right. Seems we went to the same school for our maths but I attended more classes....lol I will modify my post accordingly. |
good morning |
rationalmind:where did you learn your own maths? return on investment means the extra income you make on your capital. if you invest 250k, in five months, you get 250k multiplied by 1.5 and that gives N375,000. If ROI is payable at the end of the 5 months, you get N125,000 ....your initial 250k is still there to be either re-invested for another 5 months or you call it in. |
