∆∆∆brosssss jeffmyson I didn't say fund campaigns o....I said elections...the government spent a lot on the elections... Card readers Logistics Printing Communication Security Salaries Etc Whilst I agree that government continues (in theory), remember that the appropriation act can be amended and it will....I can bet on that. Let me ask a question, which is more paramount in the scale of a government, salaries of civil servants or grants and donations? You said government can never be broke? Seriously? Greece is currently sooooo broke even red cross is not supplying them with blood any more http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/02/26/how-broke-is-greece-this-broke/ http://www.greekcrisis.net/?m=1 |
Hello CEOs Tension is unusually high because a new government is resuming in 2 weeks. In addition, the present government has not been meeting all its bills as when due, largely due to falling crude oil prices, high cost of the 6 week insurgency war and election costs...it is being rumored that vast sums were spent on the elections. However, as business people, we should be ready for any eventuality...there are two options; either we are paid or not. Our business strategies should be on these variables. In addition, we should work on reducing costs to the barest minimum without sacrificing quality or swrvice. This it the reality of business...not all variables work to plan...what are the exit strategies in place in get out of a negative position? Whilst we wait earnestly for that life-important credit alert, I would like to advise us to remember to spend the next tranche as if its the last of such funds...before you sign that cheque or transfer instruction, always remember that pay-out can either make or mar the business. Warmest regards |
nnadychuks:What kind of rearing do you see sense in? |
nnadychuks:Is this the best answer you could concoct? |
Teephad:Yes. There are some animal farms on the axis. |
Produce from the land...

Belexy:My spacing was wrong. I had 3 feet intervals instead of 6 feet. I had to uproot half. Go with 6ft |
shadowgwalker:Hnmmm |
I changed the condenser and contact set this week. Read online that they last for few thousand kilometres... I want to install a contactless ignition system.... This will prevent contact points failing few miles to next oil change |
Screwface:Spending too...if you wish to know....and if it was a private message, it would not have been posted on a public forum...email would have been better. |
Chibzee2:Bros...do you really need to replace the stock engine? |
Screwface:A Nissan Micra will always be a Nissan Micra...and who remembers a Micra? Not even Nissan. A classic beetle on the other hand will forever remain in the annals.... Have you heard of the ford model T? Cost of buying some would open a nissan Micra dealership. Its not about just any car to move me from point A to B...its more than that...and not everyone can appreciate that Type 2 vw was sold for 157k USD. http://www.foxnews.com/leisure/2015/02/24/classic-volkswagen-type-2-samba-bus-sells-for-157000/ |
New tail lights to be ordered. These things are pricey. Over 100 USD for the pair...maka why?

I am thinking of a full delete of the rear bumper... Whilst I want as near factory as possible within the available resources, the vehicle looks better without the rear bumper...IMHO. |
Was able to remove most of the unwanted potty... Did some correction on some misaligned fabrications on the fenders... Next stage would be to complete the body work then correct some wiring errors caused by the former panel. For example, the turn signals now work for brake etc. I alos need to fix a new headlamp...one looks like it has 'apollo' |

A new step board was fabricated from thick guage steel plate. Initial repair by first panel beater was fit only for the trash...

Grinding

Project phase 2. The project was slowed down a bit due to some exigencies. Now it has been revived. I was not happy with the overall body work done on the vehicle by the panel beater so i decided to first ensure the body was repaired optimally before proceeding. It was evident that the previous paint jobs have been hurried applications of large amounts of potty and cheap paint. I decided to first remove them all. A new panel beater was sourced who had a grinder plus plenty of time. Work started this morning. |
Internet farmers.... Farm land is relatively cheaper than city land where you live. An acre is an acre.... |
Main problem I have noticed has been multiple misfiring. Bad OEM plugs will ultimately spoil the PCU. There was a TSB on this issue but it fraudulently came years after despite wide-spread complaints. One funny general complaint was that the vehicle usually misfires after a rainfall . |
The spelling is FABRIC and not fribrik....it has become too rampant. Thanks |

I have seen situations where some 'internet farmers' have cleared each acre for N30,000 using the same labourers that I use at N800 per alapin. Even the labourers laugh at them...in my presence. They jocularly tell me they cant come to work tomorrow because there is a new mumu in town. Someone paid N8000 per plot to clear farm land.!!! What will he be planting? Gold? |
Farm labour demystified... Farm labour in Nigeria is simple if you understand the dynamics. First, understand the community in which the farm is located. Do some ground work. Get to know who the real farmers are. It would be surprising to note that the indigenes are not usually the farmers. For example, in the Yoruba community where my farm is located, the real farmers are people from Benue and cotonu. Second step is to identify the leader of the farming community. Hold your discussions with the leader. This is to provide for accountability. Now the main part..you should understand the local unit of land measurement... Not the plots or acres or hectares. If you speak in acres or hectares, it is a tell tale sign that you are a 'book farmer' and there are chances that you would be cheated....seriously. In yoruba land, the local unit of measurement is alapin. An alapin is 60ft by 60ft. That is approximately half of a plot of 120ft by 60ft. An alapin is measured using a cutlass on a stick. The length of a new cutlass is 2ft. Three cutlass measutments make 6ft. A stick of 6ft measured ten times gives 60ft. Once you understand this dynamic, then you can move to the next level...pricing. Depending on your negotiation skill and the thickness of the bush, an alapin is between 700 naira to 1000 naira to weed. Bear in mind that you will provide feeding too per person at the rate of N200 per head for breakfast. You might decide to add lunch if you are nice. The nicer you are, the cleaner your work is. |
