|
kopell:Exactly |
The gate for this project is delivered. Powerful. Steel and iron works done here. To high grade specification... Can you guess the cost of this gate? It's 9 fit by 14fit wide.
|
Hence, we are leveling for decking on the main building now. And we are going 3 coarse up instead of the regular 2... Its for a reason. So stay tuned with us to see the details soon.

Work update. BQ Site concrete done. Security and Gen House Simultaneously Blinded.
|
EgunMogaji2:Yes sir. We are raising 3 structures here simultaneously. In fact 4 structures. Duplex BQ Security and Gen House Fence of 4 plots |
A new scope was added to our existing work plan. Which is the construction of Self Contain security house with room, kitchen and toilet with bathroom shower and Generator House. After discussing and reviewing with client, we reached a conclusion on where to set it out and carry on with it. We were able to set it out today and dig... Blinding to follow tomorrow as well the BQ Site concrete works or Germs floor for short.
|
Yampotatocarrot:Thank you sir for your follow up. We don't cut corners at all. We pay the slightest attention to details. We quote understand the secret and principles of delivering project on schedule. It's a routine practice for us. We strive to deliver quality and precision at all times. See work update today... BQ filling, wetting and ramming was done today simultaneously at full throttle... We use so much workers at a time to deliver tasks faster. But guess what. When we get to decking, we leave our structure for minimum of one month to 6 weeks to set very well...

dongc:True talk. Thankfully the client here is on ground and making all these arrangements himself. Though at some point this point you raised came up and I told him, if he wasn't on ground. It would be difficult to belive that such an amount would be spent to get water in this place. |
EgunMogaji2:I haven't worked in Ibadan before, but recently worked in Ife. I wouldn't be surprised at this. Using Ife as a reference point. I would say south west land are strong. Including o do Akure. |
twinskenny:Thank you for bearing witness to this. Well done |
EgunMogaji2:You are 100% correct Sir Enugu is known basically for a place where they don't have water. But wait let me tell you why. Even though this is my first time working in Enugu but this is my observation because I was there the day the borehole was done. I witnessed everything, each step and that is the basis to which I write. Enugu has a very strong soil, and because it's on the hilly side. Reason why it's called a Enugu which means on top of hill in Igbo language. It makes the water level to be low and far from the ground level. This is the major reason why most residents in some part of Enugu don't have borehole, it's because many people use manual drilling which is the regular thing they do here in the east and that type seem economical for them too. But hand drilling can't drill up to 300 to 400fit talk more of doing it on a hard and Rocky ground like that if Enugu so hand drillers give up on time drilling when they go as far as 160 to 180fit, the drillers Geo Drilling is an Indian based company that drills borehole here in Enugu and maybe other Eastern states. There machine is amazing. It's ready to go 1000fit. So it's important we use them and the client up to today appreciates the fact he listened to my advise before we got to site. The water is super clean and running at full speed. |
Yampotatocarrot:Yeah, you are right from one side. But let me say this. In reality this is the highest amount I have seen my client spent on a borehole. But guess what. It's better done now than never. And I will tell you why. The daily water tank usage is averagely 8 - 13,000 Naira for a tanker. The day we did wetting of the filling sand. We used 2Hp sumo to pump water for almost 8hrs none stop. That's over 25 to 35 Tankers just for a day. Now if we bought that tanker at 10K each That's approximately 350K for filling only. Mind you. We are using water daily for other construction. On the long run on this project before its roofing or completion. We ought to have used over 2million Naira worth of water. Yes, I know what I am saying. From experience, construction takes alot of water. Coz that's the bedrock of construction. From setting block to concrete works, tiling, pop, landscaping etc and also for continuous usage of water when the building is ready coupled with the fact we are going to have swimming pool. We can't achieve these with well water. It has to be borehole, running at full throttle. You can imagine we are using 2Hp because of the depth of over 650fit below the earth So in my opinion, I always advise client to dig borehole before any construction work commence on site. No matter the amount. Water is a necessity for construction and for subsequent usage after construction. You can't spend over 20million in building a house without being able to have a 2.5m worth of borehole should need be. My humble submission. |
mufutau55:Thank you sir. My workers welfare is a top priority to me. Because they are the work itself and they do their best at all times. Working with my team in any location makes work easier |
We Equally started the BQ 2 Days ago. And here we are today. Starter pillars and ground beam is also done simultaneously. Am monitoring both structures at the same time. We are set to back fill the BQ and fill up the foundation tomorrow. Hopefully to wet and compact it too... Meanwhile we have started procuring materials for the main building decking already. Client is doing all procurement to facilitate the work the way we desire... A new scope of work is added today. Security House and Gen House. We hope to commence the setting out of that one too simultaneously as BQ filling is ongoing and the main building work to attain lintel level tomorrow. Its a whole lot of work bearing in mind so changes and updates we are making to the plans and site plan based on our review with client on ground. We are planning and executing immediately on ground... See pictures below for updates...
