SW ‘controlled their’ wetin!? Was there really any serious agitation for secession from the SW to begin with!? The Akinyoye/Igboho led movement may or may not have been genuine…i can’t say one way or the other! But what i do know was that it was not impactful enough for the ruling hegemony to get frightened of it like they have done with Mazi Kanus’ IPOB! Some unkind cynics may even go further to suggest that the leaders of the Oduduwa secession agitation were so chicken-hearted that they caved in and scattered at the first sign of violence from the bloodthirsty ruling hegemony…that is, when they invaded Igbohos’ residence and murdered innocent people!

Besides, the mere fact that the Nigerian state sent criminal soldiers into the heart of Yorubaland…..murdered innocent Yoruba in cold blood,…..walked away like nothing happened….and the Yoruba are saying nothing and carrying on with ‘one Nigeria’ as if the wasted lives of their kinsfolk means nothing, says a whole lot about the so called ‘agitation’ than any words ever could! No suing of federal gov’t….no mention of it anymore in print or social-media….nothing-nothing! Maybe keeping quiet about obvious injustice meted by the evil federal gov’t is part of the much talked ‘sophistication’ we’ve been told about! Either that or we’re seeing a serious case of stockholm-syndrome!

You have no idea the capacity for subterfuge and evil a hegemonic power is capable of if it feels its dominance is being threatened! Like i said, they don’t see the Oduduwa secession movement as much of a threat, otherwise they would have given una the Mazi Kanu/IPOB treatment: ie, have their murderous agents (infiltrators and sleeper cells already based in the south-west) carry out false-flag operations in your region, then get their agents on social-media to pin the blame on Igboho and his group; or use any innocent Oduduwa agitators, seen marching peacefully on the streets, for target practice!

We all know the APC led administration failed woefully, but the locals residing in the SE should come out and expose those criminal elements instead of harboring them. They succeeded in creating fears in the heart of the locals. Now every where has fallen apart.

Apparently, you’ve been getting you daily diet of anti south-east news from the usual bigoted propagandists whose major aim on this forum is to seek out and highlight any negative news that occurred in the south-east region (like the OP of this thread who seems to thrive on posting about insecurity in the south-east). And when it’s been a quiet week for negative news from the region, they either post ‘editorialised’ half-truths, outright lies…or they go instigate the insecurity themselves, take pics/recordings, then rush to open thread on it on nairaland!

How can you accuse the Igbo (who can NEVER be your brother in a million years) of being ‘confused’ over what they want in Nigeria when you haven’t given them the chance to make a definitive choice one way or the other! You’d sooner send trigger-happy, bloodthirsty, red-eyed and drug-addled Nigerian soldiers to go mow them down in cold blood, than listen to their demands and grievances!
