This is the message I received yet again from this stupid bank called DB after spending so much to resend the new form. I'm completely clueless on what to fill in the tax-related field now. I left the field empty while I resent this second time.

Dear Sirs,

thank you for sending us your account opening documents.

We regret your account cannot be opened because the documents are not completly filled. You have made no information to
Country of tax residence
Tax ID number or personal identification number

A statement to the points "U.S. citizenship" and "country of birth USA", your home address format "street with house no., postal/zip code city, optionally additional address lines (e.g. c/o), country" and "tax residence" is mandatory.

Please send us the documents again completely filled and signed in all spaces with the description "Signature of account holder" and "Acknowledgement of receipt by the depositor".

A confirmation from the German Embassy is not necessary.

This question may be crazy but I just need clarification... Is it only certificate that need certification or will I certify my CV and motivation letter too?

Just certify ur certificates(waec, b.sc...,), transcripts, & passport data page... shikena!

Just put ur folks tax id number and you can include a copy of the tax slip so they know it's not urs....thats what I did
I know tax info can't be shared but they are well aware we don't pay tax and that's the closest thing you can get to it
I think it's just like the nepa bill we are asked to bring when opening account here...

Hmmmm. I'm just so confused about this DB wahala. I sent the forms, left the tax stuff empty and then attached a letter that I don't work yet, I am only a student, an applicant, hence I don't pay tax. Also wrote that I've checked the FAQs concerning the blocked acct form where it was written that the tax-related field can be left empty. So that's the reason I left it empty. I hope it works because really I am confused, dunno what to do again.

because I SAW SOME FAQ ON THEIR WEBSITE WHERE THEY WROTE THAT THE TAX PURPOSE FIELD CAN BE LEFT. I AM CONFUSED NOW.

And so the mail came from DB this morning to re-send the blocked account opening form.
Guys that have resent theirs, pls have you got any reply from DB yet? How long does this take again?

Okay, so I had my interview yesterday and nobody even cared to ask how it went? #sadface.
Anyway, it went well, I thank GOD. Three hours after my interview, I received a mail from the Embassy to bring "Declaration of Age", deposed to by one of my parents, to the German Consulate asap in order to complete my application or send through courier service. They said Birth certificate by NPC alone is insufficient so pls take note guys.
They also included in the mail that I should fund my blocked account(...wey DB never gimme any acct details yet) and send a receipt of the payment as soon as I can.

So the test Question goes thus; (I don't remember all pls). It comes first before the oral interview.

1). What is Osmosis
2). Please draw a DNA strand
3). How many classes of animals do we have?
4). How many bones does an adult have?
5). Explain what you understand by "Survival of the Fittest.
6). What is the difference BTW Na+ and Na?
... That's all I can remember guys.

Then the oral questions are the same questions we've been familiar with. It's just that the chinco-looking German really worry me gannn.
She kept asking same question about 3-4 times randomly. She just wanted me to change mouth. She kept challenging every thing I said.
For example, I told her Germany has the largest economy in Europe... She said NO WAY! Where are u getting ur informations from? Have u even read about UK, Finland, Denmark and some other European countries before? Omo! At first, I became confused but I stood my ground in everytin I said. Finally she stamped my passport and gave it back to me. Smiled and told me, u will get your documents through mail soon. That's how it went. Success to all other guys going for interview next month. By the way, my intending course is M.Sc Environmental sci. I hope this would be useful for u guys going into same field. Best of Luck.

@babanila, wow! so u were able to remember all these questions, that's impressive. Pls what course are u going for?
I'm having my interview on Friday. Going for environmental science. I don't know what to expect as test questions at all... lol.
Is test questions given based on first degree course or based on the intending master program?

Seems like the simple exercises given during visa interviews are for guys going for B.Sc studies ONLY. Is there any intending Master's degree student who was given such exercises during his/her visa interview? Just wondering what could come for someone who's going for M.Sc in Environmental Science.

Angle 45degrees,it was drawn so you have to figure out which angle
volume of cube with a diagram three sizes labelled 7,7 and 7-you can figure this out.
some simultaneous equation cant remember the equation about 3 in number
and this particular question 1/4+1/8+6/12 simplify.These all i can rememer
i solved and gave her back- in my present she marked them oo-
i was asked to go sit down,she took some documents inside and came back.
She called on me again for the oral interview,these are the questions;
what course are you going to study?why international business/i tried to relate this with what i am doing presently .
Why the chosen University? how did you find this school? which other part of Europe did you make research on this course? why didnt you choose these countries? tell me about your course? i gave her brief explanation about my course,how many credit unit,how many modules,how many semester and years,then the course modules from semester 1 to 7, i didnt allow her to ask me to name my modules so that she will know i prepared.when i started mentioning my modules she asked me to slow down,i found out she was typing them word by word,she asked me which semester i will do my project, i told her.in our 5th semester we have a semester abroad, she asked me where i will do it i told her,guys she was typing all answers.
how does your intended course relate with your previous degree?why Germany? why not an English Country?
Tell me about the city where your University is located,please know the Mayor of the city.tell me the Minister of the state.
What do you know about Germany?when was the uninification of Germany?name the 9 Countries that bordered Germany? how many states does Germany has? Name them!
later i was given SOP to write,why Germany? why Master degree/Bsc?

these are the ones i can remember.

the next day i got an email to go fund.
