i would have also suggested you use a domiciliary statement if its possible. reason been that with the way FX is going up to heaven and not hell if you open and keep the Euro in ur account now u will be at a safer side when the time comes to fund ur blocked account and it will be faster wen transfering the money just in case by the time ur bank details come out 1Euro might be N500. this is what i did. wen i CBN policy ws abt to come out i quickly got EURO from black market and open a dorm account. now looking back i actually got it cheaper than wat banks or even black market is selling.

on the other hand, EURO might still fall so its ur choice. just consider all ur options well.

I should've done this a long time ago. That was a very nice step u took. Thumbs up.
However, I believe EUR would still fall. I think it's @350naira right now.

Ja, sicher! You'll find Fedex around the park where they make photocopies, snap passports and all. Just ask around the park.

I don't mind funding @350 naira per euro next week if I get the chance. Fidelity bank is saying 373 naira and that's too much for me.
By the way, I hope German Embassy in Nigeria still dey accept €8090 sha?

Someone @ the Fidelity Bank HQ office updated me some mins ago that a dollar is now 335 naira. I didn't believe it so I decided to check breaking news online. Here's what I saw... #334.50.

My guy, I don port to Fidelity Bank today oh. Stanbic Bank has taken two weeks already and there's no guarantee for this week too. My brain just opened wide to remember my uncle is a senior staff @ Fidelity bank. I got him involved. I'm hopeful it'll be done in two weeks.

So, if 94% is sorted now, the remaining %, no matter how inconveniencing, wouldn't derail/terminate the struggle.

Lets deal with the known first.

Lolz, u're right my guy but mehn, that €600 + €150 = €750 would really affect my financial plans. That's why I'm just praying for this useless bank to effect the transfer of €8090 on time so maybe DB confirmation of €8040 can come before August 1st. I'd really love to dodge... Lolz. GOD dey.

One question that constantly bothers me right now is this:
For those of us who used the old blocked acct opening form, we surely would get a confirmation of €8040 if we fund the acct accordingly BUT if DB confirmation comes after 1st of August, would the embassy still accept that old amount (€8040) to complete our visa processing?
Has anyone given it a thought?
They kept accepting the old acct opening form from new guys here, saying it's still valid till August 1st even though they know the acct opening processing won't be so quick(at least not as early as Aug 1st), let alone funding. It makes me really confused.
I have a feeling we all may need to send the supplementary form to block €8640 and then have to top up beginning from August 1st, so why still accept the old form even at this late period? Dunno If u guys understand what I'm trying to pass across here.

Thanks bro. I'll open an acct there this week while giving stanbic a chance through out this week.

Exchange rate is fluctuating crazy. Yesterday early momo, it was 321. When I checked later in the day, it dropped to 312. #Hoping for the best.

Errmm... Does anyone here have any personal history as per funding with fidelity bank? Am hearing u must've had an account with them for over a year or somtin before u can use FORM-A, dunno how true. Stanbic bank taking 2nd week already. I need to fund before Aug 1st. #Loosing my patience.

first of all let me congratulate u on ur scholarship.... U are talking about May 17th but my originals have been with them since 31th March..... Do not expect ur originals unless u send them a message to terminate ur application that u have changed ur mind or no longer interested.... Now, that is risky but if u are very sure about ur scholarship offer then I urge u to send them a mail to return ur originals that u are no more interested. Visa processing takes 6-8wks only when u have successfully funded and sent them confirmation of funding... Congratulations on ur PTDF scholarship!

I laff in Portuguese join. All my original documents have been with them since Jan. 29th. Just follow liftedkris' advice, ok? Congrats.
