After all said and done i did get my confirmation from db despite funding with 8040. Yeah! I was worried but God is just too perfect to be questioned by man, He perfected what He started. The very day the funding was done by the bank here i got their debit alert for commission and VAT then the next day db sent the confirmation.... More update to come on the FormA process.

If u read the mail DB sent to u when ur account number was sent to u, u'll realise u're supposed to fund wit a total of 8090€. 50€ for DB as charge fee. Jst send additional 50€ bro, u'll be fine.

i sent money to my German blocked account on Thursday 10th of March 2016. i Used domiciliary account and i got a debit alert from the bank (ECOBANK) its been a week now and still no response from the German bank of receipt of Money. i read that it normally takes 3 working days.. this one is now up to a week please i want to know if any of you have this challenge and the Deutsche bank is not returning my mails. how do i find out if the have received the money?

Congrats dear. U missed January resumption & u're getting ur visa now, does it mean u were granted enrolment extension from ur schl frm January till March?

Your foreign registred address does not match with a German tax residency.

Please send us the documents again completely and plausible filled and signed in all spaces with the description "Signature of account holder" and "Acknowledgement of receipt by the depositor".

A confirmation from the German Embassy is not necessary.

Open ur acct & simply send the acct details to her when u have it. She can transfer money into the acct from anywhere.

Bro, just walk into any bank and enquire about Form A, they'll explain better.
However, to make your funds transfer possible via Form A, I know u'll need to present your (1). Int'l passport (2)Degree cert/Waec cert (3)Admission letter (4)Letter of Living Cost (u can request for that from ur school's welcome centre) (5)Ur DB account details in full (6) Ur 8090€ or it's naira equivalence.
The bank will give u their exchange rate and charges. Hope this helps.

Mail to fund account came in about an hour after interview.
Funded on 7th, 8th and 9th Feb
Confirmation of credit from DB on 11th feb
Email to submit insurance, passport and courier envelope on 16th Feb
Submitted insurance on 17th
Visa delivered on 23rd February.

Ok now I can confirm that with TIN from FIRS, u'll have no problem opening ur account with DB.
I resent the DB forms, wrote NIGERIA, filled the TIN in the space provided, attached a copy of TIN slip & I received my acct details in six working days. Hope this helps someone.

Morning Pals. On this issue of funding blocked account, if you have friends in Benin Republic or in Ghana, pls contact them to help enquire from the banks, esp ECObank over there about the exchange rate over there and exactly how this transfer can be achieved.
We need to know if they're using the normal exchange rate or get us acquainted with which rate they use. This info would help us all. Thanks.

North Rhine Westphalia is a very big region with the highest population in Germany and lots of industries. It is a perfect place for engineering students to begin their career and they have some of the most hospitable people you could meet in Germany.

The state of Hesse has lots of industries too, quite notably, the Industrie Park situated in Frankfurt (it's as big as a small village in Nigeria) and would be the dream of any body who studied Chemical Engineering since all the companies situated there are the some of the biggest Chemical Companies in the world. Think BASF, BAYER, SANOFI, CLARIANT and so on. Other than that, Frankfurt is a purely banking and Stock exchange city with gigantic banking buildings.


Berlin does not offer much in terms of industries. It is a town where politicians, secretaries and assistants thrive. Think Abuja.

Other than that, the state of Hamburg is also another huge industrial region with lots of importing and exporting going on.

Bavaria is good (don't know much about it) but I heard that the people dwelling there are some of the most unpleasant people to meet. They even look down on other Germans and have some of tbe most effed up accent you can come across in Germany. Unfortunately they have some of the best looking german girls.

U'll get ur self-addressed envelop @ the embassy. Just ask of Fedex or DHL from anyone at the park area. I paid #3200 & I used Fedex. Pls take note that u may pay #6400 if ur location has onward forwarding (if it's far).
Get two waec scratch cards for your two different waec results.
