Atiku errand boy working overtime for his chicken change.

The fact that he was never indicted doesn't change the fact that he was investigated by the government of the United States and his corrupt activities were exposed and documented by the US Government as part of US congressional records as a corrupt individual and PEP “politically exposed persons”.

He can not and haven't been able to enter the US based on this congressional investigation, findings and report.

Ordinary Nigerians are collecting visas and ruining back and forth to the US, but Atiku, a former vice president and influential Nigerian cannot enter America and his errand boy is sitting here shouting indictment.

They don't even have to indict him, baring him from entering the US is a form of indictment and punishment.

NaijaEfcc:
Godknows Igali, former permanent secretary of the ministry of power, says ex-President Goodluck Jonathan made the “biggest investment” in power sector.

He said this while speaking with Gatefield TV, an online platform.

Igali said before leaving office, the former president completed most of the power projects that were abandoned.

He said before the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) government came into power, there was no investment in terms of improving power generation “in spite of the growing economy and energy demands of the Nigerians”.

“Before that, for about 25 or 30 years, not a single power plant was built in the country. Which means that while the population was increasing and the economy was getting bigger, there was no value addition in terms of building increased power production,” he said.

“For a period of 20 years, not one single engineer was recruited into a sector that is largely an engineering sector. In fact even those who climbed poles had all aged.”

He also spoke about the privatisation plan of fomer President Olusegun Obasanjo which was probed by the national assembly under the administration of late Umaru Musa Yar’Adua.

“When president Yar’Adua unfortunately passed on, Jonathan came in and ordered the immediate resumption of the NIPP projects,” Igali said.

“By the time he (Jonathan) was leaving in 2015, out of the ten power plants whose construction had stopped totally, were almost completed.

“In addition, they started a new power plant 215MW in Kaduna, which was about 80 percent completed; the Zungeru power plant conceived by the late Sardauna of Sokoto, Ahmadu Bello which was also initiated by Jonathan and 40 per cent completed by the time he was leaving office.

“The Gurara dam of 30MW was completed and the transmission lines had gotten up to Mando to target the industrial sector in Kaduna and the Kashimbilla dam which was conceived by president Obasanjo as an ecological project but redesigned to generate about 40MW of power targeting Benue and Taraba states.”

Lagos Assembly Passes Bill On Use of Yoruba Language Into Law

The Lagos State House of Assembly has passed into law a Bill to promote the use of Yoruba Language in Lagos schools.

The Bill is entitled, “A Bill for a Law To Provide for the Preservation and Promotion of the Use of Yoruba Language and for Connected purposes.”

Speaking on the Bill, which passed through the third reading on Thursday during plenary, the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa directed the Clerk of the House, Mr. Sanni Azeez to pass it to Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of the state for his assent

According to the Bill, it would be compulsory for all primary and secondary schools in the state to include teaching of Yoruba Language as a core subject at all levels.

The bill also provides that all the laws in the state would be translated into Yoruba Language.

Moreso, all state- owned tertiary institutions are to incorporate the use of Yoruba Language in the General Studies (GNS) courses.

It reads in part; “The use of Yoruba Language shall be an acceptable means of communication between individuals, establishment, corporate entities and government in the state if so desired by the concerned.

“It shall not be an offence for a person to speak Yoruba Language by the state government.”

It was added that any school that fails to comply with the provisions of Section 2 of the law commits an offence and is liable on first violation to issuance of warning and on subsequent violation be closed down and also pay a fine of N500,000.
Also, the acting Chairman, Committee on Education, Hon. Olanrewaju Ogunyemi had recently told journalists in an interview that the Lagos State House of Assembly is passionate about Yoruba Language, which is why it adopted the language for plenary on Thursdays.

According to him, “the National Policy on Education provides that the language of an environment should be spoken in schools, which is why Yoruba Language is being adopted in Lagos schools.

“After the passage, it is now incumbent on all stakeholders to ensure that everyone is allowed to speak Yoruba Language. We want to preserve the language for generations yet unborn.”

I think the question for the Yoruba voters now will be, are they going to vote for a particular candidate just because their governors or Tinubu tells them to or are they going to vote based on their conscience and personal assessment. This I believe will be the true test of the political sophistication and enlightenment of the Yorubas.
Yoruba political sophistication means Yoruba people self-determining what's good for them and what's in their best interest at any given time and in any political dispensation.

The SW is the most peaceful, prosperous, investors haven and the richest region in Nigeria because of the social and political choices they make, but I do know these smart choices are foreign to other regions in Nigeria.

For now, Yoruba people/SW are part of Nigeria and so it shall be till Nigeria ceases to exist or till Yoruba people are sick, tired of Nigeria and ready to get out of Nigeria, not according to or based on your schedule or your feelings about Nigeria.

Little wonder, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, a darling of the New Atheist movement, who once urged a “military war” against Muslims, called for Tawhidi to be “elevated to celebrity status.”

But there’s only one, big problem. Tawhidi is not an Imam, nor is Tawhidi recognised as an Imam by either the Australian National Imams Council or its South Australian equivalent, “nor is he affiliated with any Australian mosque or prayer centre,” according to an ABC investigation into the “fake Sheikh.”

It’s also evident every anti-Muslim bigot’s favorite Muslim is little more than an hyper-sectarian, pro-Iranian propagandist, who equates Sunni Islam with the perverted ideology of the self-proclaimed Islamic State, once Tweeting, “Islam without Imam Ali (a.s) is simply ISIS.”

Chloe Patton, an expert on Australia’s Shiite community, warns Tawhidi is merely a mouthpiece for Shia extremism. “In Tawhidi’s black-and-white worldview, anything other than the Shia Twelver Islam that he follows is the terrorist ideology,” she writes.
