It is. In fact, it's the only problem we have.
It's what defines our society, the administration of justice and everything in between.
It's the reason why someone would embezzle 20billion pension fund and be asked to pay 500k fine.
Our constitution is the reason why we can't have strong institutions and why public servants get away with everything.
I don't know why the North is always wary if we talk about revisiting the obviously crooked 1999 constitution.

Still blabbing and chest beating as usual grin grin grin

The fact remains that, on a neutral ground yorubas cannot defeat Igbos in an act of war and yorubas know this very well. That is why yorubas always hide under the powers that be (government powers) to fight and attack Igbos.

Awolowo did not lead yorubas to war against Igbos, the way Ojukwu of blessed memories led Igbos to war against Nigeria and her allies. These are two different things you should know, stop decieving yourself.

Awolowo like I said was hiding under the government of the day to attack Igbos. Awolowo knew very well that he and his Yoruba tribe doesn't have what it takes to fight Igbos one on one that is the fact of life.

Secondly if truly you yorubas understands the tactics of war the way you said it, why didn't you lots defeat Dahomey women warriors (which some of them maybe pregnant as at that time) they came to decimate oyo empire? Those women really dealt with your grandfathers go and read your history.

Lastly, you said you built empires, which empire did you build? Can you compare ekiti and Ibadan the city of brown roofs to any of the Igbo states?

Don't even bring that your yeye and fabricated history to people like me otherwise you will be decimated without mercy.
Bragging with who? You don't build empire like Oyo with bragging. You fight for it. Just tell me any history of any warfare in the entire existence of your race.
Just tell me even one thing you've ever dragged with the yorubas and you ended up being the winner. Just one thing.

Wrong move. Kicking the can down the road will not help in the long run. We need to encourage local production of rice and other food stuffs even if it results in higher food prices. We suffer today so that our children will have a better future. This is a big step backwards.
This doesn't stop local players from doing their thing. They've obviously failed to meet our demands. Government will not fold hands while people go hungry just for few individuals. Let them up their games or find another trade.

Politics / Re: Petrol Sells For N950 Per Litre In Kano by DeOTR: 4:19pm On Aug 14
Under normal circumstances, petrol should not be selling at the same price all over the country. For instance, it should sell cheaper in places like Lagos, Port Harcourt and Yenagoa. You have to factor in the transportation cost, except you assume it's free haulage.

Politics / Re: Nigeria Electricity Trading Changing To Bilateral Trading By Habu Sadeik by DeOTR: 4:06pm On Aug 14
Maybe this will make the discos sit up and be alive to their responsibilities. I mean, these guys receive subsidy from both the government and their customers.
The major reason for defaults is inadequate metering. Discos just revert to estimated billing in a bid to make most customers pay beyond what they consume.
AEDC is doing fairly well in collections because meters are readily available and they encourage people who don't have meters to get one. Same can not be said about others, especially IBEDC.
We rarely have power cuts in my area in Abuja now and power supply is averagely 23 hours in a month.

Yes, and till tomorrow your people still hate Awo, accusing him of killing 3 million people, even without firing a single shot.
Now imagine what yorubas would do to you in their multitudes. It's not by chestbeating. We understand the tactics of war.
If you think a people who were still humping from trees to another as late as the 20th century are a threat to the Yorubas who have been building empires for centuries, then you have another thing coming.

Is that so?

So you don't need 50% tax to build all these main roads, expressways, flyovers, railway, airports, seaports, but you need 50% tax to cover your open gutters and build sidewalks for pedestrians?

GIVE ME THE BLASTED BUDGET AND I'LL FIX IT.

You people have no shame.

RWANDA builds its roads the right way, and I bet they don't demand 50% tax for it!

A country that is still recovering from a genocidal civil war!

Go there today, it's full of tourists walking around, spending dollars, and Rwanda is now the 3rd fastest growing economy in the world.

Because they use their SENSE when they do things.

Kigali, Rwanda

Guy! Tax in Rwanda is very high and not comparable with what you pay in Nigeria. Don't even go there.
Monthly rent is like 350k naira equivalent.
Politicians in Rwanda might be more reasonable and god fearing than the demons we have in Nigeria, but things are more expensive compared to Nigeria.

I agree that our roads should be built better.
Politics / Re: Increased Allocation: Muftwang Tells Tinubu Purchasing Value Of FAAC Has Reduced by DeOTR: 3:37pm On Aug 07
Monthly allocation from Abuja is supposed to complement what the States generate.
If the State Governors are this useless without Abuja, I think it's better we stop wasting money on Gubernatorial elections and allow the President appoint administrators. That way, all these vitriols we serve the President and the FG will be justified.

Address corruption first
Then we can come back to talk about reproduction ok.

A corrupt system will still make the child looks like an orphan.
Corruption or not, Nigeria is still a poor.
You can't be breeding unproductive children like rats and expect growth and increase in welfare.
The primary responsibility of the parents is to be able to take care of the basic needs of their wards. Government comes a distant second.
Government responsibility is limited to providing amenities, securities and conducive business environment. It doesn't include encouraging stupidity by feeding the children you can not take care.
The government is doing enough already by ensuring every child goes to school, but you decide sending yours to the street to beg is better. How are these set of people supposed to be of use to the government if not to a security threat to others?
Why do you even think the government is even so much interested in you getting good education? You think their primary intention is for you to get a good job and do well for your self? Nah!

Most of you guys that just criticize blindly, I won't be surprised if you haven't been in any position where one would need to make critical decisions.
Agreed, he wasn't supposed to announce an end to the subsidy regime without seeing the books, but it's not as if we can afford to continue with it without borrowing to finance it.
Many things are wrong with this country, but the solution is beyond having a "credible" candidate piloting the affairs. It's beyond an individual.
If you guys have ever one or two things from our recent history, you have known that we've not witnessed a time where a successive regime was better than the former. Define adultery and fornication

I am sure both words are in your Bible
The first supposed marriage (between Adam and Eve) was not even meant to be sexual. It was meant to be for companionship. We only heard be fruitful and multiply for man after the fall.
The problem with you people is getting married just to have justification to have sex with someone you think you love, but when it turns out that's nothing really special in it (actually nothing), you begin to have problems.
I'm just telling you the purpose of marriage is not to have sex. It was not even in the design.

The only and the last war you guys ever participated in, you lost 3 million people.
Yorubas on the other hand are empire builders, warriors with histories of conquests.
People that would have been under the rule of the Oba of Benin, safe for colonization, are trying to tell us they're are warriors.
The last war you fought, till tomorrow, you're still accusing a Yorubaman who never fired a shot in his entire life of killing millions of your kind. And you still have the shamelessness to call his people cowards?
There's only one way to find out again if we're cowards or not. Please, just try to bring another war to our doorsteps as you attempted during the civil war.

Lavish Weddings: Why Christians Must Never Take Loans To Fund Them

Lavish weddings is a highly misplaced priority by many, including Christians, especially those who can't afford such luxuries.

That's how many of them would borrow so much and spend way beyond their means just to make their weddings a huge spectacle, but after all the fuss of the day, when everyone had gone their separate ways, the couples are left alone to bear the brunt of the expenses made just because of a wedding day for the rest of their marriage life.

Worst still, if the marriage is not able to survive the trying period inflicted upon it at its early stages, by the unwarranted burden carried over from the day of the wedding, but eventually breaks or falls apart as a result of the consequent pressure, by then the foolishness of making the proper marriage suffer just because of one's dream to have a lavish wedding would be beyond glaring, however by then it will be too late to do anything about it.

So it's better to avoid making such costly mistakes of marriage just because of the wedding day.

It's not wise for those about to tie the knot to get ahead of themselves and bite much more than they can chew, trying to impress people beyond their means on their wedding day because that could prove to be the biggest undoing of their marriage life.

God bless.
No need for this advice. After-party experience will do justice.
I don't know what's difficult in paying bride price along with only the close members of your family and go live with your partner ever after.
