CorperKola: This whole article reminds of moniepoint ceo who complained of nigwrian graduates and his coys 500 vacancies He confessed he used to think iq was evenly distributed before but now reality has dawned on him. The vacancies are still there The author of this article obviously should not apply Yea, the same moniepoint built solely by same Nigerians? Maybe you should your CEO how much he's paying his Nigerian staff members in comparison to the ones outside the country. Let him go ahead and hire foreigners and start paying them Nigerian-level salaries. You can't want global standard commitment on local compensation Oga. It's worse because the staff knows that their colleagues in other parts of the world that do exactly the same thing, are earning far higher than them. We have more than 200 other countries in the world. He'll be able to fill his 500 vacancies outside Nigeria. |

lawani: He started the amnesty programme for the aggrieved youth of the Niger Delta to bring peace to the region and no doubt he was not a waster of resources. He was honest and was not there to enrich himself. Honesty is always the best policy.
He publicly declared his assets and nobody has ever been able to match that Apart from the amnesty program (it was the right thing to do, and this is a no-brainer), the rest are not achievements. There's nothing special about the man, we should stop hyping rubbish. The only grace he had was he died in his 3rd year in office. |

How many years do you think it will take for you to break even if you build 5 units of 2 bedroom flats for rent? The urge to make quick money out of a long term investment that's not sure you'll break even before you die is the root of all evil. |

PO is not a mad man; he is an intelligent, and strategic schemer. He does not to assert himself to prove that he is rugged. That's is insecurity and that's what RMK just displayed. Which positive impacts did Yar'adua make if I may ask? Say something else apart from reducing fuel price by N5. Anything meaningful economic plans, or targeted policies? I'm waiting! |

Fast growth, high birthrates (a single pig can have 13 piglets in one birth - pay attention to the chest of the female, the number of tits determines how many issues they can have at once). Mortality rate is very low too, but they eat like termites. An advice, try and add some salt to their meal too. Makes them have low fats. |

Nairaland General › Re: My Landlord Increased My Rent By 108% by DeOTR: 4:25pm On May 04 |
CaptainFM1: The Landlord access the same market as you and everyone else. His children attends the same school as every one else. Inflation hits him just like every one else. Food prices increase affects him as everyone else. Hospital bill increase affects him as everyone else.
If Nigerian government could increase petrol pump price by 1631% within 4years, an increase of just 100% in house rent by the Landlord is fairly reasonable. Think about it very well. No problem since you've based rent only on fuel price. He should increase it by 2000% then since that will solve all his problems. |

If the Obidients once followed USA to accuse Kwankwanso as a terrorist, does that mean Obi is one too as their ideology converge? You obviously interchanged NE for NW. Politics › Re: Senator Elisha Abbo Has Formally Dumped The ADC Coalition And Joined LP by DeOTR: 12:08pm On May 03 |
Svoboda: I thought he was with binani.
One thing I know about Adamawa politics is that their politicians are very assertive and abhor latent godfatherism. They aren't the kind to tremble at the feet of one man for 27 years, like my brethren from a particular coastal state in the SW.
Even when Atiku was VP, he'd to contend with a lot of politicians from Adamawa who looked him eye ball to eye ball. Even Boni Haruna almost lost his second term, and Murtala Nyako wasn't even Atikus candidate. They play very fluid politics. That's why a woman could afford to defeat Nuhu Ribadu in the gov primaries. The tribe with the most population in Adamawa is just 1% of the total population of the state. For as far as I know, Lagos has always had the most progressive governors in the country. None from Adamawa since 1999 rings a bell. |
Politics › Re: Now I Know Tinubu's Policies Aren't The Problem - Farooq Kperogi by DeOTR: 11:48am On May 03 |
AMINDA: Lol. Kogi and Kwara are now Yoruba states? No wonder Tinubu has channelled every appointment meant for the Northcentral to Yorubas in those states. Yet he wonders why he's been accused of tribalism. Even the other regions of the South are marginalised, hence why Tinubu's quest to build a "Southern conscensus" is failing. There's no "middlebelt" as a geographic region. There's only Northcentral. In 2023, the Northern Christians who mostly identify as middlebelt voted Obi. No matter how you turn facts on it's head, Tinubu lost Lagos and Osun and never won Rivers. The North made him President. I'm Yoruba from Kwara State. We can safely say Kwara State is majorly a Yoruba State because we constitute at least 65% of the total population. Kogi West is entirely inhabited by Yoruba people. You can not lump the North Central together with the shari'a North because it suits your political narrative. That's how you guys shout Northerners upandan, but in your inner minds, you're not including the North Central in that category, only do so when you need their votes. Sir, northern unity is dead. Let everyone carry their cross. So the Yorubas in the North Central are not good enough for appointments into offices because they're Yorubas? Why don't you support their agitation for merging into the south west then? And let me tell you something, a Yoruba from the North Central is equally qualified and deserving to take over from Tinubu in 2031. Let that sink in. |
Politics › Re: Now I Know Tinubu's Policies Aren't The Problem - Farooq Kperogi by DeOTR: 11:13am On May 03 |
AMINDA: What is the incentive for the North, that's currently VP, to support Obi to remove another Southerner from power that has already done four years? If Tinubu is doing a fantastic job as a Southerner, then he deserves a second term. Let him continue. The Southeast should actually be more desperate to get Tinubu out of power. In 2015, Tinubu had to travel from Lagos to Daura to convince Buhari out of retirement to come get his fellow Southerner out of power. Even then, he didn't ask for the ticket. He was willing to deputise Buhari. That's how he moved from opposition to incumbent. Clinical, strategic, long-term vision. When he said "Emi Lokan" in 2023, the North understood and returned the favour. Northerners always pay their debts, but nothing goes for nothing. Any region playing politics with emotions is already set to lose. Nigeria was a nation of diverse regions amalgamated into one. The only question that matters when you play national politics is "What's in it for my region?" And leverage is the only currency that players transact in. Not pity, not emotions, not insults and certainly not threats. Only leverage. Farook, is that you? |

DesireV: Atiku didn't have 8m votes. He had 6,984,520 specifically while Obi had 6,101,533.
There are traditional PDP votes in Atiku's votes. He had 2.6m with ACN in 2007. LP has never pooled 200k votes in a presidential race.
Apart from Buhari, no Nigerian politician has ever single handedly pooled 6m. None! Unlike Obi who is running helter skelter with whooping 6.1m votes, Buhari consistently held on to his 12m till big Southern politicians were ready to queue behind him with the hope of taking turn after him. It was largely those Southerners on the queue like Tinubu, Amaechi who funded APC's 2015 elections.
With a viable opposition platform, big northern politicians would gladly queue behind Obi rn with the hope of 2031. This platform is what Obi should be working on and NDC seems the answer at the moment. I hope Obi will be able to convincingly commit to one term deal. Atiku pulled 11m. You can say it's because of obi, but that's your business. Atiku pulled the number as the flag bearer. You people should be calming down |

He wants to switch party because he can't go shoulder to shoulder with the heavy weights at ADC during primaries. That man came second after buhari in the first APC presidential primaries. Atiku came third. The only person who has never competed in any primaries is Peter Obi. |

ogaemma: Okay, you that is an Adult in politics, try it. Right now, no politician in the entire South can UNSEAT Tinubu. Let Obi run for the election, the results will end up as in 2023. It was Obi votes that cut Atiku vote and that was what gave Tinubu the edge to win. Tinubu will still win the election same as 2023. Obi may not command same vote he got in 2023. May God keep us until then. What I'm telling you is that, the odds are greatly against Atiku. Why should any ambitious northerner support Atiku when they can just tolerate Tinubu for another 4 years? That's the same thing Atiku should have done in 2015, tolerate Jonathan till 2019. He would have been on his second term right now and having APC in power would have been like a dream that didn't materialize. |

ogaemma: I have same submission as you are. But let us be practically sincere with ourselves. Obi is the preferred candidate for the common Masse's, but Obi cannot win Tinubu in an election for the now. The results will end up same as 2023. Put emotions aside, Atiku have agreed to run for only one term. Let Obi run as his vice to send Tinubu back to Lagos. The Entire North will mobilize for Atiku. Tinubu can never win the North. Obi will clear the East and part of the South South. The Northern Governor's are already secretly working for Atiku. Northern Governors that would be aspiring to be president in 2031 are backing Atiku to spend one term so they can take over from him in 2031 for the proper northern 8 years, while the south looks on? You're a baby in politics. You think it's everyone that's shortsighted like Atiku who doesn't know when to be patient? Oga, Atiku time to be president is gone, as in gone for good. |

The biggest limitation Atiku had over the years is " Greed" " self centeredness" .. He should have learnt from Tinubu ..if Asiwaju did not 1st sacrifice for Buhari to be president .. Tinubu would not be president today If Tinubu had decided only me in 2015 ..e for no dey where he is today But an Atiku will never learn Atiku's greatest shot at the presidency would have been 2019 if he had supported Jonathan for second term. My point is that you don't need a degree in computer engineering to work as a computer engineer.
Go for a more general course that makes you more versatile and open more doors of opportunities. Don't narrow yourself to computer engineering from the get go, which some universities even still classify as a course under Elect/Elct. Computer Engineering is not all about hardware. I'm not supposed to be telling you this since you said you studied the course, but then I don't know the course outline they use where you studied. |
