Odidigboigbo:
You that knows what you are saying, how does your submission her counter what I said?
Her submission is rather not the solution to the insecurity problems in the FCT. Wike is already in talks with people that matter in this regard at the council level.

Odidigboigbo:
The truth you failed to see is that the Senator is more influential than the Minister in the zone, even more influential than the president in Abuja. They see those two as an outsider. The minister toure will yield little or no result without their elected officers. Let me ask you a simple question and be honest to answer it. Let's assumed PDP is in government in federal level and there is a crisis in Lagos and the PDP government send delegates to visits Lagos, do you think the delegates will make any inroads without APC representatives from Lagos?
You certainly don't know what you're saying. The closest elected officials to the people are the council chairmen in the FCT and they don't seem to know what they're doing.
These kidnappers have been operating in the FCT for as far back as 2021 (that's the ones I know of).
They kidnapped a vehicle together with the passengers along Gwaz-Kwali road. Kidnapping people in their homes in Yangoji was a weekly routine. They even kidnapped a traditional ruler in Rubochi.
All these times, nobody cared. I don't know why all of a sudden they're now pretending as if it started last week.

Another delusion.

If Islam is full of man made doctrines, what about Christianity? isn’t everything about Christianity is man made too?

Abi na God come help you write your Bible?
Well, Christians don't go about claiming Bible was handed down by Yahweh as Moslems do say for Allah and Quran.
Did God write the Bible? No. Is it inspired? Yes.
You guys are the ones who claim the Quran is directly from Allah, complete, and not even a word has changed since. It has all been proven to be lies. No one can even produce a single manuscript of the Quran within the first 100 years after Mohammed (that's if Mohammed even existed).

nams77:

Sometimes you guys baffle me! Did you do your home work at all? You think Unilever is a baby in the industry? Apart from Omo and Lux, they also make sunlight which is a top brand in the market before it was yanked off.
Apart from sunlight, are you also aware that unilver are the maker of close up, Lipton, Knorr, blue band margarine, pears baby lotion and vaseline? Does these products looked like failing products in the Market.
You think anyone thats says anything about the economy is doing so as a result of hatred of your god Tinubu?
It's quite pathetic the way you lots reason. Open your eyes and smell the coffee! APC is sinking this country. This is no hatred for your lord, tinubu
You didn't answer my questions. How many people out of 10 would buy Omo/Sunlight or Lux if they need to buy a detergent/toilet soap?
You mentioned Knorr and close up? I hope you also know that Knorr is not even the choice seasoning as we speak and people like me have stopped using close-up toothpaste since I'll have to take mints after mouthwash with it to avoid throwing up?
For every product of Unilever you mentioned up there, we have couple of other better products.
If removing subsidy means sinking the country, so be it. It's not like you'll even have a country in 2 years with subsidy in place to begin with.

It has to do with the current economic situation. Before you say Omo is no more in vogue and has been edged out by competition then you must know that sunlight, another of their product is very popular but yet they are quiting because of lose occasioned by dwindling economy. You can argue as usual but that's the fact staring you in the face
You guys just criticize blindly and unintelligently.
If 10 people are buying a detergent and a toilet soup this morning, how many of them do you think would buy Omo/Sunlight and Lux?
It's been more than 10 years I used any of these products. I'm sure you don't buy them too, but no, Tinubu must be blamed.

From what I heard from people living in places around Bwari, a victim claimed there are ladies working with the kidnappers.

I wish wike can muster the courage to invite the anti-terrorists crack team from the state of Israel to come over to Abuja, to fish out these useless and heartless terrorists, bandits, kidnappers, e.t.c. making life hellish in Abuja. before they will go back to Israel, they must train a team of Nigerians on how to sustain the fight against terror and criminals, hence this tinubu government have decided to adopt the Oga Bubu's style of be on top and do nothing, but experts in useless emotional condolence messages to victims of terrorists in Nigeria.
Can wike set the pace of defending Nigerians, for other governors to emulate ?
Our DSS officers get trained in Israel. Political interests won't make many things work as it should be in this country.

I believe it's the set of people operating around Southern Kaduna. They've been kidnapping people in places just less than a kilometer behind FGGC. I hope the relevant authorities will take necessary steps before the unthinkable happens.

You mean while we import fuel Dangote will export his?
Either way, it improves the balance of trade.
If we stop importing petroleum products, it will reduce the pressure on our currency and also reduce the value of our importation, thereby improving the balance of export against import. That's the point the person you quoted was trying to make.

dangote took hugh loans to build that refinery....na you will pay the loans back for him....??
Don't mind them. Always expecting what they can not offer. Same people who have doubled the price of their merchandise within the last few months would want Dangote to sell his fuel cheaply to them.

One thread on nairaland is your yardstick for measuring s governor that clear records showed he delivered.

I'm tired of this back and forth. Tinubu already stole the mandate and he is there now, why are you focusing on Obi?
I'm not judging Obi or supporting Tinubu. What I'm saying is, none of these people are perfect and I don't see how anyone of them would have anything differently better.
It's OK to criticize but we should not assume we have all the information and accuse others for not acting the way we expected.
I can only agree with Obi on wastage in public service, but not on debt. The country is already in mess and unless you're in the position, you won't know the extent.

You're holding unto straws! Obi remains the best among his peers
We may never find if he's the best or not.
My point is, he didn't do well in his last stint in Government as evident, even on Nairaland.

Let's just imagine for a second that Obi is the President. What would he have done differently?
1. Maybe he wouldn't have removed subsidy on his first day in office, and put things in order before doing that, but he may never be able to put anything in considering the fact that Nigeria is broke. He would have removed it eventually, if he hopes to achieve anything at all. You don't expect a different outcome in terms of prices of goods and services, do you? You don't know Nigerians if you do.

2. The President can't cut for other arms of government. We need specific laws that'll specify the exact percentage beyond which no public servants can earn above the minimum wage. We don't need a patch-patch approach that would last the maximum of 8 years.

Hmmm....

Well, if Tinubu tries to implement this to every aspect of his government, corruption will be in the rise as many directors and permsecs as well as mininsters and commisssioners will try to steal more for their retirement.
So we should allow them to spend recklessly because we don't want them to steal more?
What happened to cutting the cost and throw anymore who steals in jail?

Has Soludo performed half of Obi? Absolutely not!
Soludo has not spent half of the time Obi spent in office yet.
As for the performance, at least, I've not a thread here where Anambra have wondered what exactly Soludo is doing, as it was the case of Obi.
If people objectively attested to the fact that Obi was performing poorly during his tenure, I wouldn't know why someone would disagree a decade later and try to push a different narrative.
Politics / Re: Debt And Waste As Economic Policy – Peter Obi by DeOTR: 8:41am On Jan 10
DMerciful:
Obi received numerous awards during his time as governor. That should give you an indication of how he performed. How can you take the word of someone that does not like him as the gospel truth?
How did you come to the conclusion that he doesn't like him?
Let's even assume he doesn't like him, does that make him any less an authority on matters of Anambra? This is a state governor that has access to privileged information about the state more than you and I.

Well, I don't take awards given to politicians seriously. All governors in Nigeria at a point in time during their tenure have received various awards. That's not an indication of performance. It's feelers during your time that'll use to judge.
