Let's see how he will caimpaign in states where there indigines where killed by this wicked mumuDo you have any proof for your thought? The reason Buhari wants to become the president is to improve your level of education. An educated person don't just make a statement without any proof or source. |
even as a southerner i still rather trust a northern ruler over someone from south.Good talk!!! |
^^^ Can you interpret this delegatus non potest delegare Meaning: A person to whom an authority or decision-making power has been delegated to from a higher source, cannot, in turn, delegate again to another (duhaime.org) |
When the South produce a credible candidate like Olu Falae, did u vote for him? When Gani Fawehinmi (South) contested for Presidency, did u vote for him? What of Wole Soyinka? did u vote him? The Southerners are too proud of themselves, they like to take the Northerners for a ride. If a goat contested under the platform a PDP or ACN he is likely to win any election from South. |
Abraham Lincoln was faced with defeat throughout his life. He lost eight elections, twice failed in business and suffered a nervous breakdown. He could have quit many times but- but he didn't quit, he became one of the greatest presidents in the history of US. Buhari May Contest 2015 Election By Ifedayo Adebayo November 11, 2011 06:48PM print email A faction of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), led by Senator Hanga has reiterated the possibility of its leader Muhammadu Buhari to raising its presidential flag again in 2015, but claims that there is an underground plot by the Tony Momoh led executive of the party to give the 2015 CPC presidential ticket to people who do not in any way share the philosophy of the party. In the claims, which was contained in a statement issued by the group’s national publicity secretary, Dennis Aghanya, it claimed that “the act is considered a slight on the members of the party as our presidential election petition is still pending before the court. Moreover, Gen. Buhari is yet to take final decision on if he will or will not contest the 2015 election. Even where he decides not to, the CPC presidential ticket cannot be sold to the highest bidder but to someone who would be collectively chosen by the CPC members.” The group however claims that majority of the CPC members are still clamouring for Mr Buhari to fly the party’s flag come 2015, “so how can one think of such callous act by thinking of selling our presidential ticket to people who do not have the interest of the party at heart. It’s an act of sabotage to jostle for that position and must be resisted at all cost. This is a repeat of the 2011 general election sabotage where credible candidates who emerged at the party’s primaries were substituted because money exchanged hands.” Describing it as a heinous crime, the Hanga-led group claims that those involved the 2015 plot now meet at the party’s secretariat regularly, under the pretext that they are concerned with the welfare of the party and the purported leadership of the party are now feeding very fat on that. According to Mr Dennis, “this is wickedness and must be stopped before more distractions are perpetuated against our party. CPC was not founded because of their personal pocket but to serve as a genuine political platform that can usher in the ideal leadership for the country. “We also wish to remind all the parties concerned in this conspiracy that the tussle over who is the authentic national leadership of the party is still before the court. We are not unaware of their boasting that nothing will happen to the Tony Momoh leadership, but shall wait until we get to the bridge before we cross it. The leadership of the party under Senator Hanga cannot be intimidated by those who do not have the interest of the party at heart but rather ready to join hands with such people to rebuild the party if they indicate interest. No one should rely on his wealth to think that we can be swayed into mortgaging the party for his selfish desire. “Political party is a mass movement and as such no individual or a few groups can hold it hostage in an attempt to suffocating it. The unfortunate development is that these conspirators have resorted to hanging around Gen. Buhari with the aim of working on his psychology to buy the idea of playing the role of an elder statesman rather than contesting the 2015 presidential election. This development is in contrast to the wishes of the CPC members because the general remains the symbol, ideology and the propelling force behind the popularity our party enjoy. Any attempt to swindle his political ambition is a direct attack on our political aspiration.” He said. However, Mr Buhari, who was the presidential candidate of the CPC, had at an event before the 2011 general elections broke down in tears in the middle of a speech to bring his campaign to an end, claiming that, “after it, I will not present myself again for election into the office of the president.” Mr Buhari, in his speech which he delivered at the International Conference Centre in Abuja, said the campaign is the third and last one for him. According to him then, “I am in this solely for the love of my country and the concern for its destiny and the fate of its people,” he said. “And that is why, despite the many disappointments along the way, I am still in the struggle and will remain in it to the end. I have decided to dedicate the remainder of my life to fighting for the people of this country, until their rights are restored.” The former head of state had, however after the loss of the election which declared President Goodluck Jonathan the winner, signified interest in the foremost office again, but close sources revealed that considering it is just few months into the tenure, it may be seen as too early to determine what the political parties may be coming up with. However, the crises in the political party which was founded after Mr Buhari’s exit from All Nigeria Peoples’ Party has recently degenerated into series of exchanges and accusations on the true loyalty of members of the party. There were also accusations of external influence by the ruling Peoples’ Democratic party. http://234next.com/csp/cms/sites/Next/Home/5747552-146/story.csp |
Goodluck Jonathan and Sambo RESIGN |
I think Nigerians will vote sensibly next time |
Igbo, de no de disappoint. ![]() |
Why now when his church was touched? All the looted politicians have been using Winners and Redeem as a place of rescue, they re the highest thither. Its now they should tell all members to come out for Revolution. |
Good thought!! but Politicians dont resign in Nigeria, they prefer to be humiliated out of their seat. What a country. |
Oh God, what is happening in this ![]() |
Why this bombing again when the election result shows that GEJ win majority of the North vote?. My maths tells me U re more popular where u av highest number of people. When would the president bring these perpetrators to book as he promised? |
We all know that the Northerners are hungry for power, they can get it as long as they av a better candidate which I think they have but in a wrong party anyway. As for power remaining in South again would mean that the southerns re greedy. Fasola and Okorocha are both my favorite candidates but they need rest for 4yrs. Lets watch them after their time out of office, lets see if they can still contribute to the affairs of the country without the public money. Lest Nigeria still remain one, I go for Northern candidacy. |
Let 's be considerate. As long as the power doesn't go anyway near IBB, Atiku, Gusau, and Ciroma. Am from the SW so dont call me Aboki, but to be honest I dont trust any Southern leader for a minute anymore. |
Listening to Pastor Adeboye on CNN, he said he doesn't believe in protest or demonstration but only through prayer. He said people should come to church and ask God to touch the heart of ppl in government. Well, come to think of it, another pastor leading a protest in Ebonyi. "Who's report will you believe" as the gospel song goes. Pastor Adeboye could be right because he s protecting people of being killed by the trigger happy police. But, I think God doesnt care about us in Nigeria anymore. I av been praying for Nigeria since 30years ago in church but the prayer keep making our corrupt politicians look fat and enriching their pockets. Kudus to the Church members. I wish the Redeem Church can do the same after the next holy ghost vigil. Walahi, it will be like a 'Dynamite'. It will be too much for the govt to handle but our Men of God dont want anything that will scuffle the tithe and offering. |
Share Some of the protesters, yesterday. Over 2,000 members of All Saints Cathedral Anglican Communion yesterday took to the streets in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital, protesting what they described as bad leadership, hardship and hunger in the state. The Christians were seen holding brooms and symbolically sweeping hardship, hunger and bad leadership out of the state. The protesters, who marched through strategic locations and major streets in Abakaliki, obstructed the flow of traffic, singing and calling on God to come to the aid of the state. The protesters chanted choruses and brandished their brooms, which they said symbolises spiritual clean-up of the state. The spokesperson of the group, Evangelist Ephraim Ononye, decried the level of suffering and slow pace of development witnessed in the state. According to him, “Ebonyi is backward, among other states in the South-East zone. Ebonyi State is the most backward state. In this state, nothing is moving and people are complaining, people are crying, people are suffering; there is darkness in this state and we need light to shine”. Ononye appealed to the leaders and the people of the state to embrace change in all their undertakings. “We demand that government and the governed embrace change. We want change, that is why we are going round this roundabout and I know that there is power in what we are doing; let the government govern the people with its heart,” he said. He stated that the clergy in the state had commenced prayers for the liberation of the state from what he described as the forces of darkness and expressed the hope that the exercise will produce positive result. There was, however, a mild drama when a young politician in the state intercepted the protesters claiming that they were blocking the road. But, he was challenged by some of the protesters who shouted “Holy Ghost Fire” on him, insisting that there was still thoroughfare for motorists. The Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Mr. Chike Onwe, in a swift reaction said the government was doing its best in providing an enabling environment to ensure the wellbeing of the people. Onwe explained that the task of taking the state to its desired destination was the collective responsibility of all and called on the church and other organisations, as well as wealthy individuals to join hands with the government towards the development of the state. http://www.nigeriancompass.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=7499:church-members-protest-hardship-hunger-in-ebonyi&catid=54:nigeria-today&Itemid=594 |
Toll gate again? Somebody tunlese, Somebody da'leru (dad showkey). Somebody built the house, Somebody destroys the house. I wonder why is PDP not consistent in their policy. Is this the kind of fresh air promised by Jonathan? |
Seven years after toll gates were scrapped on federal highways across the country, the Federal Government said yesterday that it would re-introduce toll gates on federal highways in 2012. Minister of Works, Mr. Mike Onolomemen announced the plan at an interactive session with the Senate Committee on Works yesterday. Onolomemen explained to the Senator Ayogu Eze-led committee that the move was part of plans to reverse the deplorable state of federal roads across the country. “The future of the road sector cannot be shouldered by the Federal Government alone. We will soon start work on some of these roads. By 2012, we will introduce toll gate policy to rehabilitate our roads. Beyond this, we need a major reform of the sector. “We need an enabling framework for the collation of all fines collected on the roads so that it can be channelled to road maintenance. We are going to raise a bill to introduce a policy that would gradually lead to the rehabilitation of our roads because it is one of the ways we can guarantee sustainable development of our road network.” The minister told the committee that some federal highways had been specifically targeted for intervention by the ministry. “We selected a number of roads that need immediate attention. They are: Apapa-Oshodi Expressway, Shagamu-Ore, Onitsha-Enugu, Abuja-Kaduna-Kano-Maiduguri, Abuja-Abaji-Lokoja and Sokoto Expressway.” In his remarks, Senator Eze reiterated that the Senate might be compelled to declare a state of emergency on Nigerian roads soon. The former president Olusegun Obasanjo administration had, seven years ago, abolished toll gates in the country following its planned removal of fuel subsidy. The administration then had felt that removing fuel subsidy while still retaining toll gates would have sparked mass protests across the country. It therefore scrapped toll collection from motorists on the nation’s highways with the intention of devising other means of raising funds for the rehabilitation of federal highways. http://www.sunnewsonline.com/webpages/news/national/2011/nov/04/national-04-11-2011-002.html |
Good job! keep coming pls |
^^^^ Great!!!! Great!!!! Love it. |
Former Head of State, General Muhammadu Buhari, has taken a look at Nigeria’s voyage as a nation, saying at 51, Nigeria is not yet a nation. Speaking through his spokesman, Mr. Yinka Odumakin, the presidential candidate of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) in the April 2011 election, noted that at 51, Nigeria is a tale of absurdity, a tale of dashed expectations of rudderless leadership, citing the present security challenge as an example. “At 51, we are not a nation yet. There is security challenge everywhere. As we prepare for October 1, celebration, Boko Haram is threatening, the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) is threatening to bomb everywhere and in the midst of all these, we have a commander-in-chief who said he is not a General, he is not a dictator and he is so clueless about what is to be done to get the public get back to track. “We have had a situation where the security agencies are shifting blames to themselves. The police, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), are quarrelling over who released who. Couple with this, is the fact that the economy of Nigeria today is partially dead. “The only activity going on in Nigeria today is the spending of oil money and corruption. The level of poverty in Nigeria is unimaginable. I have not seen this level of poverty anywhere in the world where a country rated as one of the highest producers of oil in the world, harbours most of the poorest people in this part of the planet,” Buhari said. Bemoaning the wide gap that exists between the rich and the poor in the country, Buhari further lamented that the gap is widening everyday, saying “the rich are getting richer and the poor, getting poorer.” He said that with the rate at which Nigeria is going, if care was not taken, a day is coming when all that will be left for the poor to eat in Nigeria is the rich. At 51, Buhari wished that Nigeria will get its acts right, get responsible leadership, saying Nigeria has stayed for too long under leaders who behave like dogs. “We need a responsible leadership, we need a new political order based on equity, justice and fair play, where the wealth of the land will be used to satisfy the needs of all Nigerians; where every citizen of Nigeria can aspire to the best height where they will not be limited by the circumstances around them. “A Nigeria that works, where there is electricity, where there are good roads, where all the infrastructure are functioning. A Nigeria where our children will go to school and learn; a Nigeria where health facilities will be available to all. We want a Nigeria where people will live peacefully as people of Nigeria rather than enemies fighting themselves. That is my dream for Nigeria,” Buhari stated. http://www.sunnewsonline.com/webpages/news/national/2011/oct/01/national-10-01-2011-015.html |
I totally agree that Buhari is still the best to fight curruption in this country. He is the David that can kill the Goliath which GEJ 's afraid of. He 's the General we need at this time, if only he can help wipe off the likes of OBJ, Anineh, Mark, Bode George, Atiku, IBB etc. Rawlins of Ghana did it and succeeded. I can still forget the program WAI, the round Batch that was must for everyone during my primary school time. BEST PRESIDENT NIGERIA NEVER HAD. |
"has placed N50 million reward for any member who kills Ms Marilyn Ogar" Yes, I can add N10 million if they can add OBJ to the list |
I wish. He 's still the best and honest candidate so far so good |
CPC WINS AT THE TRIBUNAL That will be great ![]() |
