Zenithh: I have a close fair male mature colleague of mine who has never had a relationship with any girl. This guy is handsome and clean. Anytime we go out to drink,he’s always lamenting on how hard it has been for him with ladies.
I have tried to hook him up with few responsible ladies I know and they each tell me same thing. “Abeg I no like fair guys” “ I can’t date a fair guy”.
My guy keeps telling me that he has never been lucky like me and I should try and hook him up. He one time envied dark skinned guys...and wished he had a darker skin.
I have asked these ladies what the problem is and I still don’t understand their point.
Ladies can you tell us the problem with fair guys pls?
onthehill: Charles Awuzie: Religion in Nigeria Feasts On Poverty And Lack Of Functional Systems In The Country (Photo)
Charles Awuzie, a Nigerian Cyber security expert based in South Africa has stated that religion in Nigeria thrives on poverty and lack of functional systems in Nigeria, IgbereTV reports.
Taking to his Facebook page, he compared the health service he got in South Africa to what is obtainable in Nigeria.
onthehill: Tiwa Savage's ex-husband TeeBillz has welcomed his 6th child - a baby boy, IgbereTV reports.
Sharing a photo of his woman, he reached out to his children Jamil and Bisi, informing them of the birth of their new sibling. He wrote on his Instagram handle;
In one of his Instagram post, he had mentioned his five children who were born by three different women. The children are:- Khalil, Gaetano, Jamil, Bisi, Ona.
TeeBillz was first legally married to Kenea Udoh who gave him two children. He also has another child with a woman named Vivian Oputa. The talent manager had tied the knot with Tiwa Savage in 2013. The pair welcomed Jamil, their first son together, in 2015. But in 2016, their marriage collapsed over allegations of neglect, infidelity, and substance abuse.
Last year, TeeBillz hinted online that he has found love again and shared pictures of himself and a lady spending some time together.
aytech360: There is this my neighbor wife that is annoying me.
The story
I have a 3kg cooking gas cylinder that I used to fill regularly when I finished it up while cooking and they have their own too 5kg.
When their own finishes they will be using my own for a day or two before they refill their own with my permission when they asked for it which I consider a normal stuff and I don’t have problem with it since the money to refill is not my problem.
But for two months now when the gas price went up I have been noticing some stupid shit coming from the wife where she will rush to my own gas to cook and she didn’t even ask for permission again and she consider it normal since I don’t use to talk.
They don’t even fill their gas anymore and I am the one filling my own gas to cook for the whole house the thing I normally used for a 3-4 weeks now I must fill every Saturday amount to 1800# and I am tired of this shit and I don’t want to hurt them by insulting the woman because they consider me the good guy.
I will have to wait to cook on my own gas for them to finish silly.
So I just refill the 3kg for 1950# in my area and before I even cook anything they’ve started using it and it annoyed me and I released the gas to the air to empty cylinder when she gone out to her work.
As usual she has bought what she wanted to cook in the night and went straight to the gas to cook and she noticed it has empty and there is no option again. So I have decided not to fill the gas again for like a month because things are hard and the price for the gas kept going up.
Am I wicked
yes you are wicked, it's very simple, madam things done change o, i dey manage, please from today I shall not be sharing my gas with you guys. Thank you, who will kill, instead of wasting the gas unnecessarily. That's childish
I now agree that the best platform to get first-hand information is Nairaland. Please, always have a critical and in-depth rethought about those comments you read here about a particular decision you are about to take.
Before coming down here to Ukraine, I read awful comments about the country here on nairaland. Comments like lack of jobs, colossal corruption, and high rate of poverty in Ukraine, but man must leave Naija na. No time.
I was like no matter how eh bad, it can never be worst than Naija.
Before I came here, I knew Ukraine was not cool but on my arrival, I got to know how worst Ukraine is.
I asked my agent if one could move from Ukraine to other European countries after entry, they assured me that it is very easy. .
So I started the journey, paid all I needed to pay, the assurance fee was 600k, flight ticket with Turkish airline was 700k (round ticket).
Zoooo00om... I was in Ukraine, and that is when I realised I just entered second chance.
If you are a foreigner with the hope of getting a job in Ukraine, well, sorry to burst your bubbles, you are getting no job here.
Before you can get a waiter or dispatcher job here, you need a knowledge of the Russian language.
Their top lecturers survive on $400 monthly, how much more do their junior lectures? Rents are very high here, it goes up to 300-400 USD. Most of their men have no jobs how much more foreigners? Ukraine is known to be the poorest country in Europe.
I know of a Naija guy who was very stranded that he had to ask one of her white lady friends If she knows where he can see even bricklaying job, the lady's answer was, 'even her with masters have no job, how much more a foreigner?'
An Indian man was lamenting to me, telling me how he regretted coming to Ukraine and he has been here for 6 months. He is looking for any opportunity to go back home.
The only job foreigners can get here is "Call Center Jobs" that is, after an intensive interview. If you fail their simulation, you will keep running from one call centre to another, looking for a job. And even these call centre jobs are scams. Both regulated (with license) and non-regulated.
The interesting part of these call centre jobs is that the government knows about these centres, and they know they run scam organisations but they choose to close their mouth because the government are usually being settled but these organisations.
Ukraine is the HQ of scams and poverty but they have ways of hiding it from the world. 70 percent of their men are idle, most of them are drunks and does nothing other than drink and sleep by the roadside.
If not online work (not scam), I for done kpeme for this country oh. I am planning to move to Poland next year.
Key points you should take note of about Ukraine
* No Jobs for foreigners
*Almost 95 per cent of them speaks Russia/Ukrainian, the language barrier is second to none. Sometimes before you buy something from a store, it will take you 30 minutes.
* Not easy to move from Ukraine to other European countries, although, it is possible with money and the right documents. But how do you get this money when there is no work and you are not even allowed to work.
Please, avoid Ukraine except your papa get money if not, as you ball in, you go still reason to ball back to Naija back.
why didn't you go to Poland direct, I believe there small small jobs there
einsteine: Shallow argument by the NDLEA chairman.
He presupposes that something being allowable means somebody must consume it. Cigarettes are legal and anybody who wishes to buy can buy yet some of us have never ever smoked before. Alcohol is legal yet many people are teetotalers. That something is legalized does not mean people will consume it.
Of course, the current banning of marijuana means Marwa would have a job as NDLEA chairman. The only people who benefit from the criminalisation of drugs are law enforcement agents (without it, they won't have jobs) and drug traffickers (the ban creates a black market which they exploit).
If Marijuana is legalized, it would be cheaper and indeed less attractive as a form of vice. Money that previously went into the pockets of drug lords would instead be used for more economically important things. The consumption would not increase significantly as the demand for illicit drugs is relatively price inelastic.
very good analogy, I think as usual the NDLEA chairman took us (Nigerians) for granted to believe that legalization of Marijuana will lead to proliferation of crime, how's that even logical, when it is currently a crime to trade Marijuana
bepositive11: What on earth? What the hell is this world turning to? Men who protect their women have low self esteem? You're not serious!
Don't confuse possessive with protective. Those are two different things
A man's natural instinct is to be protective of his woman and other important females in his life -- daughters, sisters, etc
Men with low self esteem are possessive not protective. If OP was possessive, he wouldn't even let his girlfriend take a cab
you don't protect what doesn't need protection stop flexing your muscle unnecessarily, she is not a kid, she knows how to dismiss advances from men, you should be asking why she's coming to you on this, this is some reverse psychologica shit been performed on you, trust they are already seeing each other or about to, or she's seeing someone else, this is to distract you
shortgun: Can I report Uber and Bolt Drivers? They keep harassing my girlfriend whenever I book a ride for her to come to my place, meet up with me or go back to her house.
I am busy most times and don't have the time to pick her up or drop her off. She keep telling me of the harrasments and how she will prefer I pick her than book a ride. I always overlook her complaints until yesterday a bolt driver who told her he's married came back to her house to look for her after a ride yesterday!! . The randy idiot picked her from my house, I spoke with him on the phone and she told him she's in a relationship but he still carry his poverty stricken blokkos to my girls house?
I tot guys that do uber are trying to make ends meet? I always tip them cos I tot they need help but this have shown me that they are just a bunch of unserious people.
i dont understand, make them nor toast your girl again because she's your girl? Nwokem gbadokwa Anya, ka this girl Hari gba gi straight win na over 2.5
This is symptoms of an already cheating girl, she's trying to make you look in the wrong way and you are gladly following in her lead, even creating a thread to see if anyone would validate your simpic quest of beating up your fellow man for a girl that is not married to you. Be careful
WriterNig: Dear Fathers, never ever leave your innocent baby sons to any woman, be it his mother, your mother or sister.
Every woman out there is a predator looking for kids to rape or abuse. Watch over your boy child fiercely.
Speaking from experience. Be warned! i was very surprised she was sentenced 16 months only
Right? There has to be stiffer punishment for female predators. The judge is being bias. Can't even begin to imagine the kind of trauma those poor kids went through.
jericco1: Hey guys so how long have you spent at a job before calling it a quit or probably disengaged?
So this year I have been quite funny with jobs and whatnot
So the first job I did this year, I didn't spend up to 2 months before leaving, the job was too stressful for me and I couldn't cope.
The second I spent a month and half then I left because the pay wasn't encouraging
The third one though sounded interesting, and I was like oh finally a management position. So after almost three months of processing my application and several documents submitted.. I was finally called to resume but I left after the first two days. The job wasn't for me, it looked good on the outside but something else on the inside, to me it was slavery.
So I have decided to leave anything that has to do with job alone.. I'm doing well for myself
So guys let's have your views.
24hrs hotel job, saw the working condition and japa'ed that was 8years ago when I was still a boy

There are three of them ........ (Burna Boy, Davido and Wizkid).
These three Afrobeat singers have sung songs more beautifully than senses could bear.
Do you know what they have been doing most? I will tell you ....... They have been making a great impact on Afrobeat and its global adoption.
Popularly known as “African Giant". He is a Nigerian songwriter, dancer and rapper. He is one of the renowned successful African artists. Many believe his music style, resonates with that of Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti. He rose to the limelight in 2012 after he dished out “Like To Party" a single from his debut studio album L.I.F.E. In 2012, Bad habit/Atlantic Records in the United States and Warner music group internationally signed him. 2019 was a remarkable year for Burna Boy as he won the Best International Act at the 2019 BET award and he was declared an Apple Music Best Artist.
Also, “African Giant" his fourth studio album was released in July 2019. At the 2019 “All African Music Awards” it won the album of the year and was nominated for best world music album at the 62nd annual Grammy awards.
Do you want to know what happened to Burna Boy in 2020?
Chill, I will tell you. His album Twice As Tall, was nominated "Best World Music Album" making him the first Nigerian with back to back nomination at the Grammy. At the 63rd annual Grammy awards, his album "Twice As Tall", won the award for the best global music album. He was also awarded the "African Artiste Of The Year" at the 2020 VGMA'S. With the release of multiple singles in the early month of 2020, just by himself and on featured credits. Burna Boy has featured in the remix of The south African producer master KG'S viral song “Jerusalema" song. The Jerusalema Remix made the song enter and top various charts.
"Twice As Tall" was released on 14th August 2020
Daddy and mama Burna Bose were the executive producers. The album was no ordinary album, it was debuting at number 1 on the Billboard world album chart, thereby becoming his highest-charting project so far. The Edison award in the world album category for “African Giant", and the Best International Act at the MOBO award was presented to him on 9th December, even when a strong renowned artist like Megan Thee Stallion, Drake, Lil Baby and Roddy Ricch were his competitor in the same Award Category.
His song “Destiny" was included in the playlist at the inauguration of American president Joe Biden. 2021 is indeed a favourable year for Burna Boy. He won the best international Act. This made him to become the first African artist to get 3 nominations and wins them all.
Arguably The most famous Afrobeat singer, with the highest fanbase. Afrobeat is the new trend in the international music space and Davido is not here to play. He solely focuses on promoting Afrobeat to the world. Gone are the days when Afrobeat was poorly promoted and barely accepted in the world. Davido is out here, making sure Afrobeat gets all the needed attention it sole richly deserves. Davido got a huge attention after he dropped “Dami Duro". The second single from his debut studio album “Omo Baba Olowo" in 2012.
Do you wish to see how Davido has made sure Afrobeat keeps extending to the world?
Davido just skyrocketed rapidly by becoming one of the Afrobeats singers with back to back chart-topping singles, awards, sold-out concerts amongst others.... Consider some of his awards so far...
1- BET award for best international act (2018).
2- The headies award for the best international act (2018).
3- The headies award for artist of the year (2018).
4- MTV African music award for artist of the year (2014)....amongst others
Also, Davido signed a record deal with Sony music in 2016. He also founded the record label Davido music worldwide (DMW).
His second studio album “A Good Time” was released in November 2019. African Magazine cited him as one of the top 100 most influential Africans.
Davido featured in “coming to America 2”. He performed his song Assurance in a scene of the movie. This is a great win for Afrobeat, to sing in Hollywood movies isn’t something that comes around all the time. Davido also released his Third Studio Album tagged "A Better Time" in 2020 which featured Top American Artistes like Nicki Minaj, Nas, Lil Baby, Chris Brown, Young Thug and Hit-Boy.
He is one of a kind Afrobeat singer, he has simply skyrocketed Afrobeat all over the world by deeds, loyalty and devotion. He is one Afrobeat singer that has a habit of dispersing explosive songs around the world. He makes his fans have magical experiences when they listen to his songs. Even the ruling “All progressive Congress” has placed him on a pedestal. They had mentioned that Wizkid is a great inspiration to the youth for winning the 63rd Grammy held in Los Angeles, USA. Just when he was 11 years, he started his music career In 2011, had his first song recorded with OJB Jezreel.
Look at how huge Wizkid is driving Afrobeat to the world
A collaboration with Drake gained him international recognition in 2016, the single One Dance.
This single reached no 1 in 15 countries, including the USA Billboard Hot 100.
Now let me tell you something sweet.
Do you know that Wizkid is the first Afrobeat singer to appear on Guinness world records? Oh yes, he is...with his contribution in Drake’s hit song “One Dance".
Wizkid fourth studio album “Made In Lagos“ was really a big deal with the Hit Song Essence Off the Album Still Trending. It topped Spotify global album chart. The Album has attained a good spot on the Billboard world album chart and a song from the Album Essence ft Tems got a Remix with Justin Bieber.
In this post, you were able to see how these fascinating acts were able to move our very own Afrobeat to the world. They are still soaring higher.
This is a big indication that Afrobeat is not going anywhere anytime soon. It is here to stay and explode all over the world.
op where is ckay.. Without ckay this list is void go and check his accomplishments, dude is literally topping the charts in top countries with his love nwantiti song
chinasaekpere: Hello guys, this is a very strong decision I want to make, I need your help to make this decision or not to. I am thinking of cutting my parents off because they have caused me enormous financial setback as a result of the bad decisions my father made. Firstly, I will like to give you a background of the story.
I come from a family of 4 and I am the first child of my parents. My dad is a retired federal government worker, he worked for many eyes as a school cert holder (so obviously, he didn’t hold very top position until he retired, probably the max in reached was level 8 or 9). He trained me through the university and he retired during my NYSC, at this point one of my brothers was in the university (he never graduated because he was nonchalant), my 3rd brother was a jambite and the last born was in primary school. The Jambite graduated this year and the last born is now a jambite.
In 2013, my dad retired and received gratuity worth several millions. My mom tried persuading him to build a house in the village because we are Igbos but Based in ogun state but my dad refused and insisted that he was going to develop his land in ogun state by building a 4 flats building (up stairs) then start business with the remaining money in Ogun state (apparently, he got the revelation from church to do that), he never completed the house. My dad is very religious until date, so out of the money he paid tithe, bought instruments for church and made some donations. Immediately I finished serving, I got a job with a pharmaceutical company as a medical sales representative. I was receiving a salary of 80k with commission. Things started great. I served some money I joined my dad in some of his fish farm business, I was in Enugu while he was doing the farm business in ogun state. When it was time to harvest the fish, I was told stories about theft, I spent 700k on the business but was able to recover 200k because I had to help him offset some debt.
To cut the long story short, my dad started having serious financial issues, couldn’t pay school fees of my last born in school, had several debts just about 2years after collecting millions as gratuity due to his wrong choice of investment. Ofcourse the financial burden transcended to me, until a point that my dad got into trouble from another debt, he spent church harvest savings that he was suppose to remit. I was paying my brothers school fees worth 150k per term, i had to take money from company’s account to help him offset the debt hoping that he would pay up and I will pay some before company finds out. The whole financial burden was so huge for a starter like me, owing to the fact that I lost all my savings to the fish farming business and I also had to pay house rents in Enugu and pay other bills. I accumulated a debt of 1.2million with the company and then is started paying it by bit until the company found out that there was a deficit of 400k. I was arrested and was in the cell for days. To get out of the cell, I had to sign a legal agreement for a payment plan of paying 30k monthly to offset the debt. Luckily for me, I got a 60k job 1month after, my dad couldn’t pay my last siblings school fees, I took him to Enugu and started Paying his bills. I was also paying 30k from my salary every month until I paid all the lost the job again during the heat of the recession. I managed to pay up that debt. Since 2018, I haven’t really done any serious job, I started driving Uber in 2019, saved up some money, my mom needed money for business last year, i borrowed her, she couldn’t complete the payment. The car I was using to do the Uber got bad again. I had to look for a remote job now in Lagos, I saved up money and learnt how to do footwear, i Am saving some money to pay my house and shop rent and get machines. Last two month my dad called that he needed money for my brother’s school fees so he can complete his SSCE exams. He promised to payback mid last month, now I have not seen the money and my that was my house rent I borrowed him. My house rent expired in August. I called him, and ofcourse, he is playing the emotional game. Now, they are in serious financial mess and they seem not to want stop dragging me into it and it’s not as if I am doing great myself. I am not, I’m struggling to make something after mortgaging a lot of time paying several debts. It is overwhelming.
The point is, I am 31years old, I’m looking forward to making my own family and it seem if I am not careful, they will drag me back from this objective. Anytime I try to organize myself, they come up with their monetary problems and it hinders my growth. My plan was to get a shop and equip it before the end of first quarter 2022 from the saving I made from my current 80k salary and now they have collected my house rent in form of a loan. That’s a drawback again.
I have to make my own family, I need to shed some burden to be able to do that. I also want to be a parent and I never want to depend on my kids in my old age. Should I cut them off? If no, what do you advice that I do?
i am a first born also, and was always treated like this, it was my uncle that called me one day and advised me, that despite the emotional attachment I have with my family, I should not be giving them everything they ask for everytime they asked for it right now because I don't have a foot on ground financially, and I am young, he lectured me and told me that "do you know that if you die, or go incommunicado today, this your family crying to you will still find a way to feed themselves and solve their problems ?" I was amazed with that statement because it is true, he advised me to most of the time say there is no money , that they will not die, that they will surely find a way around their own problem, that this period is a period to build my own life, that will be proud of or ashamed of, that if I fail, I alone will bear the brunt not them.
I think you should take this advice because it worked for me
Or11: A man was sentenced to three life sentences plus 76 years in prison after being convicted of raping, molesting and sodomizing a 13-year-old girl in Douglas County, authorities said.

Adedoja Olaniyi Bah was sentenced to spend the rest of his life behind bars Wednesday, the Douglas County District Attorney's Office said in a news release. He was convicted on 12 counts in late October after a six-day jury trial.
On July 15, 2017, Bah chased the victim into some woods near the Reserve at Sweetwater Apartments where she lived before punching her, throwing her to the ground and holding her down, the release said. He then raped and sodomized her.
During the attack, Bah threatened to kill her if she resisted, the release said.
The victim frantically ran to a family friend’s apartment for help after the attack, while Bah calmly walked to his vehicle and drove away, the release said.
Bah was arrested the following month by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, AJC.com previously reported. He was visiting the United States at the time of the incident, officials said. He is from Nigeria and last lived in Japan.
Investigators were able to find surveillance footage that showed Bah chase the victim into the woods, and two types of DNA evidence helped tie Bah to the crime, the release said. The victim also testified during the trial.
The jury returned the guilty verdict after less than an hour of deliberation.
Bah was convicted of rape, aggravated sodomy, aggravated sexual battery, false imprisonment, aggravated assault, terroristic threats, battery, two counts of child molestation and two counts of aggravated child molestation.
He received the maximum sentence allowed by law, which Deputy Chief Assistant District Attorney Samantha J. Newnan requested. She cited the “severity of the attack, the age of the victim, and (Bah’s) complete lack of remorse” as the reasons for the strict sentencing.
Before he was sentenced, Bah asked the court for mercy in the case, requesting to be allowed to return to Nigeria, the release said. That request was denied.
MadeMan01: for this cramped living space. Instead I'd get acres of land in GRA with ample expanse and build my mansion without squeezing myself with others
are you willing to undergo the stress of building this kind of mansion on your own?
Please I need your advice. My current girlfriend has all the good characters that perfectly defines a wife material plus she's a scholar and also a virgin (not particularly concerned about this anyway but to evince how disciplined she is) but sometimes she will look attractive to me and other times she will appear unattractive and I won't feel attracted to her at all. To clarify things, this changes has nothing to do with her dress sense neither my beholding senses but real changes in her facial appearance and allurement.
To be frank and sincere, she is just greatly above average in attractiveness but she's not stable in her look, she falls far below average occasionally. Also we're both dark in complexion and I will prefer my children to be lighter than I am, if not fair.
I have been trying to look beyond her look by focusing on other quality attributes she possess but the issue about her irregular look keep on fluctuating my feelings for her.
The crux of it is that I'm in my early thirties I need serious relationship; someone to build future with and finally get married to but here I am with someone that meet up with more than seventy percent of my requirements in my ideal wife but with unstable look that is threatening my feelings for her.
I am concerned about this because of some issues we consider trivial are still crashing marriages these days....
My questions:
How important is look in marriage? Is it me that is making issue out of trivial matters because this lady is receiving a lot of relationship advances from people far better than I am and she's turning them down to maintain her commitment to our relationship? Is there any possibility of stability in her look in the future considering that she's still in school?
Your genuine, mature and constructive advice is highly needed.
I will appreciate ones from those who have experienced what I'm currently going through.
you guys shouldn't be together, you don't love her, save your self the stress and cancel the relationship
LeeSantos: Reports making the rounds have claimed that Fancy Acholonu called off her relationship with Alex Ekubo after getting threat messages from his secret lover.
myglodata: I just want to read about other people's experience. I might not be able to describe the phenomenon, but I'll try (bear with me)
We have been married for over a decade now with kids. Like all human interactions (marriage not excluded) we've had our problems but we always manage to resolve it (patience is key - an advice to married couples).
About 3 week ago after one of our usual argument (over some flimsy issue). She walked to me told me we need to talk. She said, and I paraphrase; "If we keep on arguing like this my love for you will keep reducing, and I'll only be staying with you for the kids". She then left for the room. After some few minutes she called me on phone and said "come and take me out" (this was around mid night). She then started crying and complaining of severe headache. She said she wants to go out for a walk at midnight, and crying and acting wired. She loves playing the Qur'an from her phone but at this point she asked me to take it far away from her and lots of other drama.
After about 30 to 40 mins she snapped out of it, her tone changed and she asked me "what are you doing here, are you not coming to bed". As if nothing happened, and when I told her about the incident and our discussions (about the kids and our love) she had absolutely no recollection of it whatsoever (even though it happened just moments ago). She just said she is having severe headaches. I could sense she was visibly disturbed when I told her because she hates any form of mental illness attributed to her.
Recently we travelled and she slept in my sisters place. In the morning she told me she had those severe headaches again and almost called me to come get her in the middle of the night because she was terrified and didn't want to snap into that state again and end up embarrassing her self at my sisters house.
Looking back at some fights we've had over the years couldn't help but think could it be that "she wasn't the one" I've been having these arguments with, but I only start noticing recently?
She normally gets into this state when she's angry (so I try to avoid getting her angry - but its quite hard)
She told me that recently she's been having some wired and fetish urges (even though I have known her to be a good woman)
I don't know if this make sense. I have always thought this kind of things (splits, possession etc.) happened to pretty women (and my wife falls in this category).
I am not the superstitious type and have resolved to stand by her, no one knows about this and I intend to keep it like this as long as it is not beyond our control. But I just want to here from people out there with similar experience
N.B I hope she's not on NL
yes my cousin had split personality phase one time in her life, everybody was saying spiritual, but I was the only one who was able to understand what she was going through,
Sometimes she will insult the hell out of you for nothing.
Then the next minute she will come to her senses and won't remember what she said,
She will dress up for party, and won't put on makeup, then when they get to the party she will remember, and go back home, eventually not going back to the party because she's too ashamed of the embarrassment, we managed the phase for like 1year that way.
