You will never know the psychopath sitting next to you. It's not written on the face. Owning a gun will never be a solution to violence in any country. Never.
Check the issue of gun violence in America and you will understand better. Everyone appears a good citizen until they are given power and don't forget that gun is power. Without gun a police officer won't be feared on the street.
Giving people license to own gun will show you how psychotic some people are, something as little as an altercation can generate anger emotions and u see them open fire at a person just because they are consumed with anger at that moment. Some people already wish someone death just by having a fight with them, imagine when such a person is handed over a gun.
Gun violence is one of the greatest problem in America. We don't need that in Nigeria. It can never be a solution
you don't understand the gun situation in America.
For the record America is not the only country where it is legal to own a firearm neither are they the first to legalize it.
I know Nigerians. They never attack those who have guns at home.
izombie: If Nigerians own guns the way you want then the same Nigerians will rob everyone they see on the streets. The guns would no longer be for protection but for robbery and all the evils that come with guns.
that won't happen because there are more weapons in the country than the population of Nigeria And they are in the hands of bad people.
Good people need guns to protect themselves.
Qualified citizens should be allowed to have their own gun.
I woke up to call from a dear friend. A young man like myself who is doing all he can to provide food for himself and his family by engaging in lawful hustling.
His shopp which was burgled 3months ago has received same fate just yester night, the hausa guy he hired to keep guard at the shop, was shot dead.
This evil people, fell a side of the shop wall, and carted away with goods worth millions. My friend was crying, not long ago he was telling me how he would have used the money he used in rebuilding his shop to relocate himself and his family to any western country if not for coronavirus.
Before this incident, sometime in February, The farm reserve area in my small town was closed out, food became scarce, a cup of garri sold for 100naira. Farmers couldn't go to farm. Why? Men wielding ak47 cordoned the area, and restricted access to everyone except their cattle.
Fear gripped everyone, some farmers had been killed in previous clashes.
Just the other day, a young man's little brother was kidnapped, and the kidnappers demanded millions, afterall he just bought a Lexus 330.so he should have it.
Some filtering intelligence reports say, this country is surrounded by gunmen marauding, and ready to cause mayhem at any given time.
Everyday Tragic News have comfirmed this.
I was researching about guns obviously when I saw this publication by daily trust
At the National Consultation on Physical Security and Stockpile Management (PSSM) in Abuja, organized by the United Nations Regional Centre for Peace and Disarmament in Africa (UNREC) and the Presidential Committee on Small Arms and Light Weapons (PRESCOM), it was revealed that Nigeria hosts 350 million or 70 per cent of the 500 million illegal arms in West Africa.
UNREC's director, Ms Olatokunbo Ige, provided the statistics during the consultation in Abuja and said that these Small Arms and Light Weapons (SALW) are in the hands of non-state actors who use the weapons to threaten lives and property of their compatriots
With this glaring statistics provided as far back as 2016. It is scary, especially considering that the vast population of this country is less than the number of guns in it and that the bulk of the population have no access to guns to protect themselves, they helpless and at the mercy of gun holders.
In case you don't know, gun ownership is currently banned in Nigeria by the current government ; I beg myself to ask why. Is there a sinister motive to disarm innocent law abiding Nigerians?
Everyday When i sleep I hear gun shots, and i wonder, the day this people will come to me, how will I defend myself and my family?
The last time I went to the police station to report a case, I had to fuel their vehicle before we could make a move.
So I ask this question ;
Why should responsible citizens not own guns? Don't we have rights to life, self-defence any longer ?
Is the security situation so good in country that citizens no longer need guns to protect themselves?
I leave you all to answer that question. In the mean time, I have ordered a stun gun. Pending when this gun ownership ban is uplifted.
GWagonlover: Dear Experienced parents and child development experts,
I have a 4-year old child suffering from mild autism which was discovered when he was two. As a concerned parent, i have taken steps by spending a lot in hiring speech and behavioural therapist, and seeing a development pediatrician with some success achieved at least in getting him stable to be able to absorb what he's being taught in class.
With diagnosis done confirming the mildness, i was encouraged to allow him do things regular children do which will help him grow out of the disorder.
Now i noticed that he has memory challenge in terms of ability to retain and recall information especially in his study which is a big concern to me. He also dislikes reading and writing but enjoy visual-based instructions.
In light of above, i need help from parents who have gone through this challenging phase with such kids and also autistic child development experts on how I can help my child over come the short term memory problem, repetition of words, writing and reading.
Please help!!!
Op I am not a professional on this. But I grew up as one. Though I never got diagnosed by my parents.
I had myself diagnosed after I noticed some abnormal behaviors in life, and from numerous interviews with my mum.
No doubt You will encounter some frustration with your child, he will be very different, from the other kids.
It's a good thing you know what he's going through.
You should show him extra love and care.
And please don't think of it so badly. It isn't that bad, I mean depending on the spectrum. But from what I read about your son.
I guess he will be fine and please don't make him feel like he is suffering from something, and protect him from people who don't understand his condition, especially ignorant teachers .
I actually started to read properly at primary 6.from then on i was quite good (topping class) upto higher institutions.
You have to also instill in him, and make it normal that he works extra hard than he should normally do, maybe not now but when he's 10_16. I don't know if that's medically adviceable. But it did help me alot.
deedy111: I saw this huge python still alive hung on a stick and ready to be sold, Upon enquiry I was told it was caught in a local trap meant for smaller Bush meat. I hung around until the highest bidder got it for #4500 and took it happily home . Maybe someone here might know why the man was kinda happy.
GAZZUZZ: There's a sample of what happens when you jump into things you have no idea about in Abuja, he relocated from Lagos, bought a scanner and setup shop near a carwash .
It's not about buying equipment (not every job needs a scanner) it's about understanding the principles of how these systems work and a supervisor to guide so you know how and what to look out for. You cannot jump to the finish line.
Jump I can. But I understand that not everyone can jump like that.
Artiiclebeast: Just see how everything is haphazard and you expect there not to be corruption and ineptitude in the system?
Where workers are unmotivated, they'd give below par in the discharge of their duties and motivate themselves by corrupt means.
How do you expect a civil servant who even earns 100k with a family of 3 kids to survive without soiling his/her hands to make ends meet when a 2 bedroom apartment, for instance, goes for as high as 800k to 1m Naira in Abuja for instance.
I keep saying it that to get this country back on track, we the youths need to get together, bring to the table our 21st-century ideas, sack these failed analog rogues, uninstall the present operating system of the country, and reinstall a more modern version of the operating system with an incorruptible and fire-wall proof anti-virus/corruption system.
oga a thief is a thief. And will still soil his hand wether you pay him millions or not

Michelle55: Is this your story? Or a movie script ? Whichever one.. Stay blessed but remember forgiveness is not something we do for others, its something we do for ourselves to be able to move on and live life to the fullest. Be the bigger person, forgive him and move on!
fados4sure: You need first hand information of people who have leave in Europe to answer such question rather than allowing people recommend country base on the name.

Sold a domain on july 30th, Rob seng $264 btc to me, but adjusted the processing fee manually, which made the btc not come in, and verification was slow, i requested for a review and He sent another btc of same amount, which i received immediately and it passed all verifications.
This morning i saw a notice of btc payment and i checked it and found out it was that ist one, sent on 30th july which he set the processing fee manually. I immediately contacted Rob to inform him of what has happened and asked him, to sent his wallet id for me to send him the btc back, he sent the id but unfortunately i tried sending it, and discovered i cant send btc through my wallet, i enabled the btc sending option, and luno said it will start working after 24hrs. I immediately contacted Rob again this morning, and sent him the mail from Luno, and i asked if i should withdraw the payment and make deposit to my masterbucks account so they can take it from there. And Rob said i should keep the payment that by next sales we would balance the account.
I really thanked him for the trust.
Note all this happened this morning by 3am.
i am very happy with what I am reading all through. At least in the domain world we will have a good reputation...
Truth be told, selling domains as a Nigerian, wasn't so easy 6-10years ago.. Most of this marketplace didn't accept Nigerians. Now the story is changing. We thank God
Adesarm: So i thought i should share my experience with DAN. Sold a domain 2wks ago for $270 and my payout option was automatically changed to wire transfer. I reached out to DAN by tagging simon that i didn't request for a wire transfer payout option but rather throughout BTC. 24hrs later they switched back the payout to crypto which was my initial payout option with them and the payment was sent to my luno address. On Thursday night i got a credit alert from my bank for the same payment i already received through my BTC tho it was minimal due to the exchange rate compared to the BTC rate i already received. It was so tempting but i decided to reach out to DAN notifying them that i received a double payment for the domain name. James from DAN replied my message by thanking me for being honest and sincere and we both tried to look for way to send the payment back to them. James later send me a message to keep the second payout as a reward for my honesty. Indeed it pays to be honest.
this is very good... Thank you so much, you did the right thing and got rewarded Ontop
