I have applied for numerous jobs, be it long-term, short-term, consultancy and so on. Despite my wealth of experience, skills and expertise, I have not had even an interview! Are employers intimidated by experienced/older professionals? Surely our experience will bring added value to organisations and we can be of help to younger employees. Please we should not be discarded with yet! We are still useful to the employment market!! Anyone feeling similarly frustrated with this type of discrimination and unfairness?? Phones › Re: How My Stolen iPhone Was Returned After 7 Months by Dereformer(m): 10:15am On Dec 03, 2014 |
ekeroyal: Lost And Found My Stolen Phone After 7 Months
This may sound unreal to some persons but it is real and happened in Nigeria. It is about my iPhone 4S, I only bought it January 2014, a new one. The story is funny with a few lessons and inferences drawn from here and there. This is how it went.........
I lost my phone in a taxi in Port Harcourt on the 28th of April, 2014. It probably slipped out of my pocket. When I realized it, I quickly tried tracking the taxi driver but couldn't find him that evening. I waited for him around the route where he operates but couldn't find him. To make matters worst, the phone was offline as I had only returned from an island with very little Airtel signal, hence I couldn't call it. The next day I was to travel, but I couldn't go. I waited for him again around the route he operates and fortunately I found him but he simply told me, he didn't see my phone. I was crest fallen and started accepting the reality. That evening I told my better half who was far off, of my predicament and she simply said, am not convinced you lost that phone". I began to imagine if she was a prophet from God or she simply said it to calm me down.
I had so much information on the phone that I almost got it announced on radio, safe for the fact that such announcements can't be made. The next day I traveled and simply tried to forget the phone. I was so feeling bad because I didn't activate the iCloud or Lost iPhone app. But before I traveled, I logged into the apple portal with my account and left a message, "If you find this phone, it is lost. Simply call 080********. A reward awaits you". Then I relaxed. That weekend I suddenly tried calling the phone and it rang for six (6) times and nobody picked it. I sent two sms yet no response. At that point I was feeling even worse because somehow the iPhone is unlocked now, I thought. At this point, I had to forget it and bother my head with other issues. But one interesting decision I made was to stick to my Asha dual SIM phone I was using besides the iPhone until February 2015 when I would buy a new one.
On November 17, 2014 I was back in PHC again. Then came the mysterious call by about 21:38hrs on November 28, 2014. The caller introduced himself, though I didn't catch the name and it was seen as one of those trivial calls, until he asked "did you lose you iPhone recently?" I went ahead to give him details of where, when and how I last saw my iPhone. "call me tomorrow so I can direct you on where to come pick your iPhone", he added. That was it. I went there, met with about five young men and after about 20 minutes wait, another young man came with the iPhone. Behold, it was still fresh and clean. And I smartly inquired what really happened. I could decipher that the young man who called me intended to buy the iPhone but got frustrated when all efforts to unlock it proved abortive. So he decided it meant nothing than to return it to the owner. When I inserted a SIM, I accessed the iCloud server and immediately I entered my credentials, the iPhone was unlocked.
I know technology was at work, but at the same time I also feel there was hand of God. The point is, even if the fellow wasn't able to unlock it and got frustrated as the days went by, he could have as well decided to also crush it. But he didn't, instead he took the bold step by calling. He was surprised when I told him I didn't inform the Police and I also didn't come with any Police or something.
Meanwhile, my lost hope in Nigeria and Nigerians is gradually coming back. I simply didn't expect getting my iPhone back.
What do you think fellas? Sometimes I imagine what the world would be like without bad people. In any case, Nigerians are gradually becoming honest people since the advent of GEJ's administration. The taxi driver who returned a huge amount of money forgotten by a passenger in abuja, same happened in owerri, jalingo and enugu and now this one in PH. God is at work in nigeria through his servant GEJ. And the recent improved rating of Nigeria in corruption index. Gej till 2019. |

Who are you? Tell us what you have achieve? It is not a crime to aim high, that Amaechi aim to become Nigeria president is not a crime. He has right to it the same way others like Tinubu, Saraki, Tabuwa, and many others who sacrifice their ambition for the betterment of their party. Why not APC make him the presidential flag bearer? Amaechi is like the small Nza ( bird) which after having a sumptious meal challenged his Chi (god) to a fight. If you are a true Biafran, you would av known that the Ijaws are Igbos worst enemies! An ijaw man will drown you in their rivers for no reason other than the fact that you are Igbo!
I would rather dine with an Hausaman or a Yorubaman than an Ijaw man! your worst enemy is your frenemy!
But people like you the poster have given our right to the presidency to the Ijaw man free by claiming that Egbere Jonathan is your kinsman!
What did you profit for supporting an Ijaw? Four years of Ijaw man's Presidency, your headbridege ontisha is almost at the point of collapse, your enugu ontisha express has gone from bad to worse! we are not even talking about PH owerri road and the other federal roads in the east!
Go and see the so-called enugu international airport that most of you are shouting yourselves deaf that he gave you state of the art airport - an airport that is not even up to the standard of a local airport in SA!
Are u aware that for the stvp1dity of posters like you - calling an ijawman igbo man, the Igbos will not legitimately lay claim to the Aso Rock in the next 20 years unless power shifts from PDP to another party - but i guess your dvmbness will not let you see how stvp1d you and some other un-enlightened igbo folks like you r when you campaign for Egbere to continue beyond 2015!
Now 2015 approaching and you are proudly worsening your already compounded situation by still supporting the Otueke man against your destiny! that means if egbere should win 2015 you nor any of your kinsman will not smell Aso rock in the next 30 years! u know y? bc after Egbere the presidency will go to the north then to the south before coming to the east so long as its under PDP!
Instead of Ohanaeze negotiating with APC so we can have the Presidency by the end Buhari's tenure in 2019 we are busy castigating APC and and showing the whole world how dumb the igbos are when it comes to the game of politics!
Kedu ngbe Igbo ya wa anya ndorondoro politics!

walemoney007: girl what u should b concern about is ao igbos will av dia biafra republic...if d pdp rig next year dis country will burn All I know is, Head or tail, Nigeria may end by 2015. How, If GEJ wins (and sure he will), Insurgency will know no bounds. Buhari and APC will do what they know how to do - unleash death on innocent Nigerians. It happened in 2011, and nothing points to its non recurrence in 2015. Infact, evidences points to the preparedness of APC to go haywire with violence as soon as they lose the election. I some times wonder why APC is busy rejecting 2015 elections in 2014. It goes to show there mind set. If APC wins (which is less likely), for the years to come MEND WILL hold the entire country to ransom. The federal government will attempt to us force to silence them, but that will be last straw that will break the camela back. During this periods, MOSSOB will sit back and watch events as they unfold. Ideally, there will be debates and arguments as to whether Biafrans should support the South-South in other to realise their destiny. Many will be against such support and point to the betrayal that Biafrans suffered in the hands of south south during the Nigerian Biafran war. Meanwhile, the Nigerian military forces will be stationed the east from where they will deploy battalions to silence MEND. This will not be easy. Will debate and argument will be going on in the East, delegates of Mend will come to pressure the Biafrans to join them. They will table the fact that this is the time to realise the dreams of having Biafra. Initially, the elders will refuse to join hands with MEND but the ever ready youths will call for support for Mend. They West, will be boycutted, SOUTH SOUTH AND SOUTH EAST lobby the MB who are every ready to be severed from the north. During this period of conflict, most of the politician will be abroad with their families while the innocent who never knew what actually happened will bear the brunt. Finally, United nation, AU will come in to settle the conflict and the solution that will come in will be to carry out a referendum to determine who and who wants to be in Nigeria. This will be the end of Nigeria and the birth of Biafra, south south will have their own country but with alliance with the Biafrans. This is what I saw in my dream. Bye Nigeria. Corruption, insensitivity, Born to Rule attitude, nepotism etc killed you |

noblezone: @OP,
So you really think its all about Jonathan and 2015 elections? Then you have developed your own version of conspiracy theory from his message.
Is there a Jihardists agenda for Nigeria? If yes, then we must be on our guard!
As deadly as Boko Haram is, fellow Moslems refused to condemn them when they were bombing churches. here you are up in arms with Bosun simply because you think he is sold out to Jonathan's re election.
Mister, give us ideas on how to curb the violent and forceful spreading of Islam in Nigeria. Moderate Moslems are denying it, and folks like you think its all about getting a good leader.
the truth is that docility has finished the church in Nigeria. some of us are aware of the threat of the Jihardists but did nothing!
did you say OBJ was "anointed of the church"? when, how and where?
We all know OBj was anointed by IBB, Abdusalami and the Caliphate!
Mister, Papa Ayo did not pay for his jet! He did not spend a dime let alone from the purse of CAN.
I did not need Bosun to tell me to beware of the APC and there colonisation agenda!
Right from the very set, some of us have stood against the APC gang up! I am from the South East and we are doing all we can stop the encroachment into our territories.
How can I have anything to do with APC when the ambitious tyrant called Buhari is as the centre? Anyone of our own hobnobbing with the likes of Buhari will be taking to the cleaners!
The only "leader" suitable for Nigeria is the criminal called Luggard, unfortunately, he is dead.
Bro, do you know the worst case? Let us split Nigeria now! Let Buhari rule the North, let Tinubu rule the west, then we in Biafra can choose our won leader. So you think the problem of Nigeria is leadership?
I wish you well. Very apt response. You said it all. I have always told people around me that BH is an agenda to islamise Nigeria. Buhari if elected the president will see to the realisation of this objective. I concur completely that the best solution to the numerous problems of this country is simply to split. The North has shown that they don't care about how other regions feel. GEJ should be allowed to complete his term and hand over to south east after which MB. Indeed we are waiting. We will crush any attempt to islamise the south-east. God is with us gentlemen. |

I was desirous of having a degree in accounting considering that good companies will never accept your HND.
My confusion then was my age (37 then) and i am married.
My wife encouraged me to enroll for part time studies in one of the universities around.
This I did. I want to tell you that by next year, I will finish with a Bsc in accounting. And the beauty of it is that i am 90% sure of making a First Class. Currently i am in 400l and my Cgpa is 4.65
In my class, I have a guy who has HND, PGD, MSC, ACA, ACIT. But he came back for a Bsc.
The truth is, most HND holders who tell you to forget Bsc are only looking at the time it will take to complete the program. But give them Bsc, they will readily accept it.
If you don't go for the Bsc now, in four years time you will wish you did.
Don't ever think of doing PGD. It does not equate HND to BSC.
Look for a university around you and enroll for part time studies.

Has his supporters started donating the funds for his campaign? As at 25/11/14, a friend that works in the bank told me authoritatively that Buhari campaign fund account has only N705, 600.00cr. Meaning, even his die-hard supporters such as barcanister know that Buhari is a bad investment.
