Bro this is politics, it's not like some under-tree or bear parlour bragging rights game. If you are coming under my umbrella, you do so because you have something I could also make use of on the long run. It therefore begs the question of "what importance" Iran is to either of Russia or China. Russia is already involved in her own battles in Ukraine, China doesn't want to establish global authority via military means but economic. They wouldn't want to risk that for anything, their market is very important to them. So it's not a question of how many allies they have that they cannot help Iran, but is it worth it? I for one pity Iran cause really I have a very soft spot for that country but they need to grow up abeg. No be only them dey under sanction.

No body is even talking of China using military means to shield Iran. All we are saying is it's high time Russia and China challenged US unilateralism I believe US is not the only country in the UN security council.. Kosovo, Iraq, Libya now Iran is next. Until they challenge this US will continue to see them as weaklings bask in its own ego. US unilateralism is a slap on other UN members and this has gone unchallenged for decades.

To be clear, I assume Iran has a few nukes.
I know a military bombing campaign will be useless. Bunker buster bombs cannot obliterate mountain ranges.
Yemen is a demonstration.

But I have zero confidence in the mullahs.

To be honest Russia and China ain't serious at all. They are not ready for multipolarism if they can't challenge and confront US on some issues. This Iran nuclear issue is an example. They should not allow US to always have its way. Who is America to keep dictating what Iran should and should not do after it was the same US who walked out of this working deal that the P5+1 inked with Iran.

Russia and China are part of the P5+1 for God sake so who is US to keep dictating among the P5+1? I think this was a deal everyone of them made with Iran. If US continue to go unchallenged this way then it will continue to disrespect Russia and China and see them as unserious and weak countries it could oppress. We all know how US use to defend and even veto any resolution that does not favour Israel in the UN. Anyway may be Iran is not important to Russia and China afterall.

Russia and China are very unserious. If they want a multipolar world where America shows them respect they should be ready to challenge America's decisions most especially this act of unilateralism. We don't have a multipolar world if America still thinks it can act unilaterally while seeing other powers like Russia and China as irrelevant. I'm beginning to think Russia and China even fear America. I am even amazed at how Russia is saying it would make sure Iran and US have a good deal is this about Iran and US or about the whole P5+1/UN? Very shocking to hear instead of you and China to keep challenging this act of unilateralism. Dem never ready for multipolarism.

Honestly Russia and China are not doing anything it is surprising. They should be tfrowning at any military attack against Iran this is bullying. How can a country walk out of a working deal and keep pointing a loaded gun at Iran to come back to the negotiating table at the same time.

I know this is not about the nuclear deal only they want to weaken Iran totally so Israel can have the most superior military edge in that region. In that new deal they will tell Iran to stop building ballistic missiles and dismantle most of the ones it has built with thorough inspection.

Iran should better be wise and not fall for this trap. Every sane person knows how a war between US and Iran would affect global economy and even US interests in the region but Trump is a mad man he doesn't think about consequences after all he killed a state official in Iran in a drone strike, who does that? A mad man.
