Ukraine F-16 destroyed during Russian attack, BBC told One of the F-16 fighter jets sent from Nato allies to Ukraine has been destroyed, a Ukrainian military source has told the BBC. The aircraft went down amid a barrage of Russian missiles on Monday, killing pilot Oleksiy Mes, Ukraine's military said. It marks the first loss of its kind since the planes were delivered earlier this month. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cd0532n9pdko |

For whatever reason he tried this he should be called a clown for it but I know the West pushed him into doing this that should tell you the West itself is confused and has no concrete strategy as to how to stab Russia in the heart. I can't even call it an invasion it should be termed a suicide. Ukraine committed suicide by invading Kursk. Scoring points at this stage of the war while Russia keeps grabbing land. Why are some ignoramuses mentioning Jews here? Religion has destroyed some people's thinking.
When it comes to tech advancement during WW1 & 2 give it to the Germans. From their highly tech advanced tanks to the U-Boats that they used to menace the Atlantic sinking many allied ships. They built the first cruise missile known as the V1 and the first ballistic missile in history the V2. They built the first and only rocket powered fighter jet in history also known as Messerschmitt Me 163. A British fighter pilot narrated his experience after the war about these German Wunderwaffe, he said he had never seen any thing like that in his life that the way the jet ooze past his plane was so fast and no allied plane could even caught up with such speed.
There was a special U-boat, U-2511 that Nazi Germany built in 1944 but it was late already. Military historians keep saying if Germany had built the Messerschmitt fighter jet and the U-boat U-2511 early Germany would have won world war 2 cause these were weapons the allied countries can not match if they were deployed.
What about the military ship Bismarck and her sister ship Tirpitz. Let me stop here. During WW2 Germany built many weapons and megastructures that were way ahead of their time. US and USSR were rushing to get hold of German scientists and their research papers during the last days of the war. They were running to reach Kaiser Wilhelm Institute cause they believed it has many scientific papers that could help them. |

motayoayinde: The killing of Haniyeh reflects Iran's carelessness about its internal security. Yes. Iran needs to bite more than it barks. Yes.
All of these do not (and should) mean that an overpampered IDF which requires almost the entire NATO and more countries to defend it everytime it misbehaves in spite of a huge war chest and armoury given freely, is a match for a hugely resilient, self-reliant Iran with massive stockpile of missiles and a hard-to-beat topography.
Were the Ayatollah a younger, more hotheaded person, this matter would have been long settled. He seems too fatalistic and laid-back for a country like Iran at this time. Imagine the Houthis having the power of Iran. Even if Iran beefs up internal security to a satisfactory level Mossad will continue to carry out operations inside Iran, the spy agency has infiltrated Iran so much thanks to the Iranian dissidents who are fed up with the administration in the country and want a change so they are ready to betray their country. I'll keep saying Mossad is not formidable it is only taking advantage of the dissension between Iranian rulers and the citizens its operations are successful because Iranian dissidents are ready to join external forces to betray their country. It happened in Cuba when Fidel Castro became their communist president and people were fleeing in droves these people later became dissidents used by the CIA to fight Cuba and even made several attempt on Castro's life. Both internal and external dissidents in Iran are working for Mossad, CIA and other western intelligence agencies. And I strongly agree with you about the Ayatollah. |

Iran is avoiding an all out war with Israel allies who are moving military assets to the region to defend Israel. Israel is causing troubles because of the unconditional support and assurance it receives from the West. Iran can only use proxies to attack Israel at this time since the killing of Hamas leader inside Iran was done by Mossad agents inside Iran it wasn't a direct military attack by Israeli military that should provoke a direct military response from Iran. WriteerNg: Did sanctions also stop them from buying advanced fighter jets, airplanes, air defense systems from Russia, China, Turkey or even Brazil?
Iran is just an unserious countries.
The sanctions on Iran are not up to one tenth of the sanctions on Russia.
China is more sanctioned than Iran. If you say Iran is unserious then how did it manage to build a conventional military that has dissuaded US and its vassals from invading over the years. An Iran that would threaten a nuclear armed Israel today then the next thing is for US and its Western vassals to start moving assets to the region to defend Israel. The reason Israel keeps doing what it is doing is because it has support from the West. It's like you don't know the types of sanctions EU, UN, and US have heaped on Iran over the years. I think last year or so was the sanctions banning Iran from obtaining weapons from its international partners expired even US was still looking to lobby the UN to expand the sanction. Iran does not have the sufficient money to go on shopping spree for weapons now as it can't sell its oil the way it used to which is the mainstay of its economy. The little financial resources they have are being utilized for other pressing needs like their health sector. You can't compare Iran with Russia. Russia is self reliant in the arms industry it can produce its own jet and other arms needed by its military Iran is also self reliant too but it can't produce sophisticated fighter jets like Russia. |

Mille: Genuine protestors should use their brain that they can always be infiltrated by people who have ulterior motives. A legitimate #Endsars lost its credibility when the said SARS was disbanded but still people started burning BRT buses, police stations, media houses, high court, looting and destroying private properties.
I followed the protest from the beginning. The Bangladeshi youths said they were protesting against the "Quota system". They got the attention of the government and the said "Quota" was reduced from 30% to 5%. Rather than disband after achieving their aims, they let themselves be influenced by the opposition and international groups to continue and shifted to "the president must go". The same president they voted in this year with 75% of the vote.
Now the president has gone. They are now left with their victory or loss, whichever they consider it to be. They'll look back to this day the same way Nigerians are looking back to the GEJ era. I just pity the 57 people, especially the three who received life sentences in the UAE for protesting. Protests are always hijacked by miscreants it happens every where it happens in Europe and America so it is not new but that does not warrant a military take over. They have a constitution in place and there are contingency plans in that constitution should something like this happen I mean when a Prime Minister abdicates. And I believe that constitutional provision is not and can never be a military take cover. |

That's what happen when you protest without brains and clear directions. Congratulations to Pakistan and China for a successful coup.
Freedom is now lost in Bangladesh for a long time. Don't blame the people. Protestors everywhere always have demands and goals. The military seizing the momentum to hijack power shows how irresponsible they are. A military that knows its constitutional responsibility won't do this. |

Vic2023: 🇺🇸 The Pentagon does not have enough money for its own F-35 fighters
The total cost of the F-35 program over its entire service life will exceed $2 trillion, MWM writes, citing a new estimate from the US Government Accountability Office. The reason is the high maintenance requirements of the fighter and the cost per flight hour.
✖️ The United States will not be able to purchase as many fighters as planned due to the cost of maintaining them. In addition, the Pentagon has already invested billions in developing a new version of the F engine -35, since insufficient cooling of the current one will add another $38 billion in costs.
❗️ To make matters worse, the US has scheduled the F-35's retirement date for 2088. Thus, the fighters will be in operation for another 74 years, and replacements for them are not even being prepared yet. Yet they are gunning for 6th generation platforms. Even their 5th gen platforms haven't seen combat yet. |

Kingsnairaland: The only thing Russia can give Iran is good air defense nothing more Iran has good missiles system
which have not been tested on battle I advise Iran to not strike since it was an explosive placed in the house. Iran won't strike directly since Israel didn't launch a strike from its own soil. But it is good that US and Israel understand the threat Iran poses. For Israel to be seeking military assistance from its Western partners and for US to hurriedly sent fighter jets and carriers to the region to defend Israel means Iran and its proxies are a big force to be reckoned with and their threat should not be taken lightly. This only exposes Israel's weakness, a country that can't defend itself without external support even from sunni Arab countries. Iran has sophisticated multilayered air defence what Iran needs now is the modernization of its aging airforce and it needs money for that. |

LordAdam16: Much of the blame rests with Iran. NK has a nuclear weapon. China did everything to ensure they got one. They also kept appearances by levying sanctions. Now that NK have nukes, Russia and China are increasingly ignoring the sanctions
Iran has continually refused to get nukes. Iran has continually refused to reform its conventional military. Both China and Russia will be very pleased to supply Iran with any thing they require on decade-long loans but they're prioritizing local development of weapons. They are running an unviable doctrine of developing everything of note in-house. Since they had success with drones and ballistic missiles and have the most STEM graduates in the region, they believe they can crack everything. But that is wishful thinking.
China as advanced as they are do not have an homegrown alternative to the Russian S-500, American Aegis SM-3, and the Isreali Arrow 3. India is relying on Russia for most of their air defense needs and developing homegrown systems side by side. Iran is dithering and attempting to develop an entire multi-layer air defense system from scratch. Russia deployed S-400 to Syria since as early as 2016. Turkey in NATO bought one. Iran has decided to buy none, only recently are they considering it. Since 2016, Russia has sent them 32 S-300 batteries, so if they put an order for the S-400, they'll be moved to the front of the queue.
How many S-400 + S-300 + Pantsir batteries can Russia deploy to Iran at a moment's notice with Russian operators to provide full coverage?
I detest the Mullahs for a reason. When you look deep into how they run Iran, it leaves much to be desired. China sent contractors to Gaza to help them build tunnels. If any of them have died in this War, since Hamas forced some to stay for continued support, you would not hear about it. They've literally gotten their hands dirty for the Resistance. I'm not sure how much blame we can ascribe to Russia and China.
-Lord Iran having nuclear weapons would be the begining of a dangerous nuclear arms race in the region. Saudi Arabia, UAE and some other sunni countries in the region have said they would go nuclear too should Iran posseses nuclear weapons. I believe Iran does not want that. Iran has tried conventionally to arm itself through its local arms industry kudos to them with all the sanctions. Where Iranian military needs modernisation now is its aging and almost outdated airforce and I believe they are partnering Russia in that area but they don't have enough money to procure decent modern air platforms from Russia. I think they are trading drones and ballistic missiles for some though. Media parroted it that they procured SU35 months back. Iran also has home built modern air defence systems that are capable. Like I said procuring Russian platforms comes at a cost too even though Russia has sophisticated cost effective weapons. |
