IRCC uses biometric validity and passport expiration dates when issuing visas, but biometric validity comes first.

They will not issue a visa beyond the biometric validity date or passport expiration date.

If biometrics on file expire in 7 months and passports expire in 10 years, the applicant will only get a 7-month visa unless the applicant extends the biometric by paying $85 and then goes for a new biometrics again at VFS.

To receive a 10-year visa, both biometrics and the passport must be valid for 10 years.

If biometrics on file are valid for 10 years and passport valid for 2 years, the applicant will only get a 2-year visa.

I applied since 2020. A girl we applied together already have her passport stamped.

I don't even know the kinda wordings to use in the mail.

How to submit & collect your passport

Print your passport request letter

Put it in an envelope with your passport

Go to DHL or UPS (One way)

Send to

VFS Abuja
Sterling Bank Plaza, 3rd Floor, Plot 1083 Mohammadu Buhari Way,Central Business District Abuja Nigeria

You will get tracking ID when VFS gets the package and vfs will give u updates in your email as the passport is moving from one place to the other

Vfs will also send you mail when your passport is ready for collection

To collect your passport, you can either go between 12 to 2pm Monday to friday OR pay 18,710 naira to VFS for vfs to send your passport to you through UPS

It's like comprehension is your problem, no one is being judgemental here. If can't take simple words of encouragement then " raise a webform " like others are doing, besides you aren't the only one in 2021 who hasn't gotten a response from IRCC...we all are.

Got biometric request same day
Biometric done on 11th of January
PPR today 18th Jan

Please what’s the process of submitting the passport?
I went through interview for my PR application hence I don’t know the process of passport submission.
