mendes911: Don't bank on FG clearing their debts with JB, there's no money for that to happen!
FG is currently far more interested in acquiring debts (both local and foreign). If there's a way to trade on that, better. What will they do with the acquired debts? |

Mcy56: Hhmmm, it has lost almost half of the SP, from 37 to 19 and it doesnt seems to be done yet. If it continues like this, then the N12 junction is not far again. A buying 'range' or 'band' should be treated differently from averaging down. Averaging down is only a good case during pull backs when the major trend is up, otherwise, it's just like using your limousine to wedge a heavy duty truck sliding down a very steep hill. The heavy duty truck will eventually stop, but not before it has made your limo an unwilling partner. |

I now think Julius Berger will be a good buy going forward. This snailish government will now suddenly become aggressive in clearing it's debts to JB and pushing more money for JB to maintain full speed on all projects in a bid to show they are turning Nigeria around.... All govt contractors should be grateful to Atiku. I have my serious reservations about Atiku, but he will definitely keep APC engaged.... NB: This is not a buy recommendation. In addition, JB is for investors and not so good for traders. It's movements happen in the dark. |

Mpeace: Aiico that is planning to raise a total of 25billion? I wonder what their outstanding shares would be at the end of the day. This one of tomorrow is just the first tranche to raise 5billion by creating 4.4billiin new shares and raising OS to over 10billion. By the time they are done raising 25billion naira their OS go done reach 30billion. You can then imagine what the share price would be. Note that this is Nigeria, the next offer will be done after they push the price above N1.50. It is very easy to do this for a stock like AIICO. They will not keep raising the rest of the money at this price level. NEVER! Things may go either way. Remember FMN was planning their next offer above N50 (N65?), then Indonesia struck their radar. Their share price is still buried in the wreckage. I have no facts, just past experiences. Insurance companies receive their lectures from Diamond university! Disclosure: I cant tell what keep making me to cancel my buy orders here. I have only 100units = N78.00.. Maybe it is the signature units I have in GOLDLINK... |

There is no shame in making money... Never feel an outsider in any relationship! Staying out to get a better picture is cool to avoid bias. You decision was right, your next decision will also be right, never allow your former decision to cloud your next decision.. |

yok: MSCI PORTFOLIO MOVEMENT- AS AT 2 OCTOBER 2018/GENERAL COMMENT
I can see the MSCI on the drawing board; something is definitely in their agenda. Likely to start buying soon, let us cross our fingers and thread softly as regards were we put our money. For now, the oil sector will likely win in terms of safety in the market.
On Tuesday 2nd of October the market closed above our expected low, showing that the bear strength was weak. For today expected high and low will be: High 32778.89 and low at 32674.52
As we are expecting the results for the 3rd quarter, my opinion is that for any equity we are interested in, the latest time to take position should be between this week and next week. The reason for this is that that will be some abnormal movements which may likely be deceptive, and the particular equity may start losing immediately the result is released after people must have bought at high prices prior to the result date.
In view of the fact that some additional information on our postings will now be added, you can check our twitter handle “Target Technical Analysis”.
Caution: This is for information purpose only. Data used are assumed to be correct. However, you may want to verify the data from an appropriate source. Also, Institutions can afford to suffer big losses without going burst compared with an individual, you cannot follow them blindly (you need to at least have some knowledge/your own plan). N:B
1. Due to the fact so many new people are coming to this forum and may not know this use of following the “big monies that move markets”, I will be indicating why/how to use the information. This will be a permanent future of my post to reduce some comments which may prevent the people that understand the system from confusion by people who have not followed how this started. My comment for today for anybody who doubts the efficacy of following the fund is to look at my recent recommendations for the past 2 months.
2. The fund will still hold some equity, the terms of service states this. Thus no matter the condition of the market, it will not liquidate to Zero. This is an equity fund investing in the Nigeria market.
3. You cannot bear losses like the fund. The pocket of the fund is too deep. Therefore, as an individual you are not suppose to be in the market during the stock market crash. Before or during the crash, reduce your holding.
4. If you are seeing this type of data on MSCI for the first time. You may need to verify the figures. Go to my previous posts (https://www.nairaland.com/yok/posts), you will see the various sources where the data can be verified. Did you run out of RED ink? |

Mpeace: My sister, gamble is good oh. But you gamble wisely. A company thay makes loss yearly in billions but has over 40billion in debt at huge interest yet operates in a highly competitive business environment that guarantees little revenue and profit. Them go just dey use their profit to service debt. If japaul was a, cbn would have polarised it since before skye. Infact it would have been in BankPHB, Spring bank set. Access and Diamond will polarize it soon... |
