Politics › Re: 2027: I Support Power To Remain In South - Datti Baba-Ahmed by descarado:
Penguin2:
What did Yoruba benefit from Osinbajo entering Aso Rock?

And what are the Kanuris, and the Northeast in extension, gaining from Shettima entering Aso Rock?

You see you are accusing us of playing emotional politics but it’s you who lack foresight despite having a lot of historical examples you can learn from.

Everyone thought Buhari would anoint Osinbajo as successor but how did it end?

Are you not seeing what is happening to Shettima? Him not running with Tinubu in 2027 is almost signed, sealed and delivered.

What am I saying? I’m trying to make you see how powerless, useless and helpless Vice Presidents usually are.

If we are to go by your thinking, what is the guarantee that Atiku and his men will handover to Obi even after 8 years?

What is the Southeast likely to gain from Obi’s vice presidency?

Give Atiku the ADC ticket and the entire south will unite behind Tinubu and majority of Obi supporters will rather stay home on Election Day than come out to vote Atiku. Or you don’t know that?

See, all this “Obi cannot win Tinubu” is stupid narrative they feed your minds to create inexistent limitations.

If the north is sincere about getting Tinubu out of power, they should give Peter Obi the ticket and support him across the north to do one tenure and hand power back to the north.

This is doable, and it’s not impossible.

Open your mind!
Yoruba have been there as president. Have you been there?
We have more than 300 ethnic groups in nigeria. Igbo is among the 3 major group. Clamour for an igbo man to enter there goes beyond the presidency. Its about healing and integration, acceptance and trust.
It will not come easily based on igbo history but a step is taken and an olive branch has been extended. That is what an average igbo man is looking at. That is what igbo elders are looking at including obi.

You coming online with that mentality that it's either our way or the highway is nonsense. You come with that emotional outbursts, it will never ever be your way and nothing will happen. Highest, more agitation for Biafra. Clamp down and the cycle continues.
Obi is the best bet for igbo and you may never know why people like obasanjo is pushing him to enter aso rock. It is for national reconciliation.
Let me tell you, if obi mistakenly become president 2027, igbo will do worst than what the yorubas are doing. The military will be forced to take over. Igbo people should be prepared for the presidency. Obi is good but what about his people.

They will justify why they are doing what they are doing. You know your people. You behave the same manner in this forum. You should also know what happened before the biafran war.
The north problem is never obi but actions of igbo people if he takes the mantle of national leadership. They will chase obi out of office with their chest beating and grabbing by all means as they will say they have never eaten national cake since ekwueme time. So they should start from the vp slot.

Also, obidients are not only igbo. People that fought and supported obi are not only igbo. It will do you well to listen to their voices and don’t intimidate them.

I know a yoruba guy that have fought his people here cos of his support for obi several times. Lost some of his friends. Do not be insensitive and mock people like him. He and others are happy to let obi enter there even as vp as long as tinubu is out.
Be guarded in your utterances.

Hey, I dont live in nigeria and I am telling you the mind of many obi supporters. We see beyond today. We are looking at nigeria of tomorrow where fairness is promoted according to our constitution or are you not tired of what nigeria has become because of division which favours few? Diaspora are the people who promoted marketed obi before you guys came in with our resources. This same Diaspora are telling you guys to allow nigeria heal through obi.
What do igbo people actually want from the center that they don't have? A average igbo man want to integrate freely anywhere in nigeria and do his thing without looking at his back or disenfranchised cos he is an igbo. You know nothing at all.
In all good indices, igbo is always first. So obi going there is about bringing all to the table for peace talk which he is very good in. Igbo need that more than any other thing.
So my friend, that is the most important thing.
The rest will follow naturally

This is what you guys are not seeing. Beyond your nose.

Hey, it may interest you to know i have been privileged to be in the same room with an ex military personnel who fought for nigeria during the nigerian biafran wars and retired as general. Will not tell you his country of origin but nigeria is held together by that country.
Intense debate ensured. Moment of truth.

Half of what I said here is what he echoed. I was all over the place like you. Guy know nigerian tribes and what they are capable of more than I know my tribe.
Igbo people are not ready for presidency. After the election,he rang me up. I told you so. They cannot withstand the shock. They will be slowly guided into it. And this is the phase we are in.
Take this to the bank. The rest of our discussion, I will not tell you.
Politics › Re: ADC: Our agreement is support who emerges from a transparent Primary - Amaechi by descarado: 2:33am On Jul 24, 2025
AMINDA:
The agreement has been signed and sealed by all and sundry, but Obi is too cowardly to inform his mob of the decision he was privy to from day one. Same way he hid the fact that he was a part of the coalition from his hordes until he was called out and put on the spot. Anyways, Every aspirant must go through the primaries or quit. Obidients on social media may just be having their 5 stages of grief. It will eventually end with resignation and acceptance. They will come around.
Why are you always attacking Obi?
Since you know his so called mob will come around as they will eventually end with resignation and acceptance, let the man handle his thing his way.
Obi, amaechi and atiku though are in the coalition but each have diff types of supporters and no matter how you want to put it, without supporters, none is going nowhere. These same mob were with obi when no political figure stood by him. These same mob were mocked but they surprised inec boss he eventually switched of the server. He know his mob, let him deal with them his own way.
Enough of this shade throwing. No day will pass without you throwing shade at Obi. If you are so sure of atiku winning it, he then don't need Obi and his mob.

You talk like you have been having meetings with obi and atiku. What do you know about those 2 except what you read online. What they wanted you to know only? What about what they dont want you to know? Atiku and obi contested under pdp. I do hope you have not forgotten that. They would have done that again if wike didn't chase obi away. So be guarded. Don't think that nigeria began and ended with the north. An anomaly that will be corrected at the right time to give all region equal footings.
Take it easy before you burst a nerve. You are no diff from those you attack.
Hate people that assume a godly importance over matters they know little about. Or are you representing the interest of those that betrayed Obi in 2023 while claiming they are with him.

I know they could do that and that’s why sometimes I like what a character like Wike is doing.

All southern politicians should agree that in 2027, it’s either the coalition gives their ticket to a southerner or let Tinubu complete his 8 years. We won’t be the worst off.

Make Atiku go rest.
You are spewing gibberish.
Highly disappointed. If igbo miss the opportunity of entering aso rock in 2027, you will never smell it again in 30 yrs coming.
The only chance you guys get is through obi even if he is deputising. Once that door close. It will take miracle to open again. Realignment will happen again and you guys will start crying marginalisation up and down.
An avenue is wide open for you and you are playing emotional sentiment with it. As if tinubu and co care about you igbo. You dont know anything about national politics. Stop talking please and allow sensible igbo people do the permutation and for first time since the end of civil war, an igbo man is projected to enter aso rock and fellow igbo is yapping nonsens. You well so?
No matter how popular you think obi is, without the north, he is going nowhere. North has reached out to igbo. Do you know the realignment happening? Do you know what it took them?

It will bury the pains of the biafran civil war. No more dot. For the first time, igbos will belong and be part of nigeria. Don't spoil this golden opportunity for igbo people.

So ashamed of you and your likes saying south this or south that.
Did you know that Datti betrayed Obi even though he was his running mate?
That's how little you know about national politics.

Not shouting obidients up and down.
Even if after south rule and north take over. When it's south turn, you think yoruba will support igbo.

You and fergie fall my hand.
Anyway, you are one out of so may so your opinion doesn't matter.

Put obi as a presidential candidate and he will never win even if in ADC.
He can only deputise and we will support him 100%.
North is gonna test and see if it's worth the gamble. Obi is the sacrificial lamb. He has already acknowledged that. He do well,he will be projected for the presidency. Its people like you that's making him hesitate from coming out with full chest. If you cant support him, pls supporttinubu. Simple. No wonder it's said igbo people play politics of emotions.

Datti was never anybody's darling. Nobody cares. His association with wike is not even shaking tabloids nor reactions from people. After today, another news will overshadow this. That's how unimportant he is. Obi gave him relevance. Maybe, he should become apc chairman. Very good for kaduna people so as to spite el rufai

Guy is schemed out of the coalition. He is nothing without obi.
His people betrayed obi. While he was with obi, his uncle and father in law supported another. Obi ditched him immediately after the election for betrayal.
He is fighting back.
Too late.

Let tinubu reward him with a political appointment. That's all he can get.

I don’t even understand how someone will drive without a license and MOT risking not only their lives alone but their immigration status. I saw a visa denial letter months ago posted on a WhatsApp group, even me will deny the visa sef 😂 the number of driving offences, not having MOT, and so on. mhen it was too much! It’s not even with all the anti immigration policies and rhetoric but with many driving offences, invalid MOT and insurance those are things that get all other innocent immigrants in the loop.

So that makes your point invalid

I hope to be one day, and unlike most Nigerians who are silly entitled, i know that citizenship, IF I get granted was not my right and NEVER my right

That's one

Two, coming from countries like Nigeria, India et al, where citizenship and residency and tribalism and caste system et al is the norm, we HAVE NO RIGHT OR BASIS to criticise the British govt for whatever they do in that regard

Its a take it or leave it situation

All that talk about "being more British than the royal family" is "lubbishh" talk (like anambra ppl will say lol)

You Nigerians should learn to look ar things objectively and dispassionate, not from the point of selfishness and what will I gain

And btw, I don't hate anybody

And to turn your question around, who are you guys to tell the British govt not to tighten the rules if they deem it fit to do so
Are you not a Nigerian. Why the phrase You,Nigerians.

You just proved my point.

Did i mention yourba here?

You seem confused.

Please do not encourage that habit. Eating and hunger is psychological most times. Find out what is making him use food as a coping mechanism.

Sort it out with him before it consume him and he become a glutton. You know what will be in the future.

Eating is used as a form of escapism. In nigeria, more than two 3rd of the population especially in the south do that. Why it doesn't show is because we don't live a soft life. Our daily chores and work make us burn calories so it's never pronounced.

Check out Nigerians living soft life, they are mainly overweight or obese eg the politicians. We don't see food as what it is. We just eat and eat even if our tummy is bursting.

I actually wanted to say this earlier but just wanted to avoid the backlash of the victim tag, it’s obvious especially with the way the op was quickly dismissed from work and that’s the strategy now as any accusation is currently being linked to deportation as we continue to wallow in this anti immigrant sentiment and regime, I hear there are even plans now to empower the police to use their discretion to deport immigrants on the spot even for minor offences like driving cautions and so on. I think everyone on a visa should just be on guard, don’t drive without a full licence and avoid trouble as much as you can, if a child is becoming uncontrollable abeg do all you can to avoid issues with the govt ( if possible deport the child yourself back home instead of you being deported). We can say this is fear mongering but it’s really getting more hostile out there.
But they still drive without license. Get fake MOT.
Leave your people. When caught, they cry marginalisation and persecution.

PDP is beginning to entice Obi into the party all out of the blue. Obi will be very naïve to fall for it. The coalition has really made APC and their lackeys in PDP and LP jittery. Nenadi Usman also just got appointed as interim chairman of the LP in the aftermath of Wike's meeting with Abure. They have asked him to mellow down so they can lure Obi back to LP or PDP and deal with him fair and square. Obi is better off with the coalition. Real strategists are the drivers of the coalition.

The real reason Tinubu got what he got in South South during the last election is simply because Obi and labour had no body to protect their votes

ADC fielding Atiku and Obi would pull and be able to protect minimum of 50% South South votes

Net votes from South East would cancle out what ever Tinubu wins South West with

Middle belt divided as usual

The loss of Tinubu in the North would be his downfall
May I remind you what happe ed i the last election and likely to happen again.
Inec intentionally gave south east the lowest voters apathy. Like it was so low you will begin to wonder if south east people actually registered in the first place. States like anambra has very lowturn out. Southeast has the lowest number in voters turnout while registering was very high. This was an insider job in inec.
So when you guys are humping, remember insider job is there to cancel lots of things. The same may likely happen if overlooked again. It is more important than mobilisation and having someone to protect votes.
Eyes should be on inec from the beginning till the end starting now.
What happened to south east votes 2023.
