I have an offer from them too. Which of the campuses are you going to? My brother, here is the good side. ARU is one of the highly ranked universities. Number 38 in the UK. 300 to 350 in the world. You can imagine how good they are.You would get £1,000 discount if u finish paying your fees b4 July 1.
Here is the bad side sort of. Accommodation is a little bit expensive. They don't have a flexible tuition fee payment plan. £4000 deposit and 60% before enrolment that is why most Nigerians shy away from ARU.
However, ARU was my first choice and I am definitely sticking with them because there are plenty quality job opportunities as it is not too far away from London. I'm about to pay my deposit.
Happy choosing!
The rating I am seeing here is 97 not 38.. please can you help drop the link for that 38

Thank you so much

According to discussions with friends in the UK, the best place with jobs availability is the south side of London and as you can see from the location of Plymouth on the map below, it is a port city located on the south coast of Devon, south-west of London. You can easily get a ship to Paris for vacation. or propose to your babe grin

If not for tuition high costs in some schools, cities like these (Brighton, Portsmouth, Plymouth, Southampton, Canterbury, Colchester) are the best places to school because of job availabilities in the location. If you are coming as a family, let your wife be the applicant, and target these areas as you that will be dependant will get jobs easily and make more cheese cheesy

Just like Lagos. Now imagine the opportunities Lagos economy is benefiting from having the major port entry to Nigeria.

So do your maths cool

Is the location a good place to stay and hustle as I am about to make a deposit?

You can apply but you stand a better chance if you are a permanent resident of the UK. It is difficult to demonstrate to the visa officer of having strong ties to the UK if you are a temporary resident.

WetinUGain:
You can't compare a school that is ranked 1st to a school that is ranked 1000th. Ranking matters especially in US and UK,not in Canada. My cousin did her masters in Oxford and got so many offers immediately she finished, within and outside Uk.

Generally, life is about what you can offer and impact you want to make in the organisation. Do you ask if a doctor that wants to treat you attend top schools or lowly ranked school. But recruiters know some schools are not rich in terms of course content and tend to overlook them, students of such schools need to do extra work to be at par with other candidates, competition is crazy all over d world.

Before you apply, look at the course content and d calibre of lecturers., chats up with the current students and alumni on LinkedIn and also check comments on quora.

If you want to do finance or investment, confirm if d school is accredited by either EQUIS, AACSB, CFA or AMBA. University of Hull is ranked 601 - 800 by times higher, their financial management is accredited by AACSB, CFA and AMBA while University of Dundee ranked 201- 250 and Swansea ranked 251-300 is not accredited by any of these international bodies. Lagos Business School is accredited by AACSB and AMBA, why not schools in UK.

Wanted to go for msc financial technology, some students of some schools I chatted asked me to chill, that the course content is not rich, that the course generally in UK is being developed. They advised I rather do online courses.

Not true. You just have to prove your home ties. I know a candidate that successfully applied for another masters in Canada, while completing one in the UK.

She had a Canadian professor that was very very interested in her. Her Canadian school gave her full scholarship and recognized her incomplete UK masters for admission. She completed the UK masters before starting her Canada masters because it was one year.

Is it true that one cant apply for visa in a country where one is not a permanent residence.. if one is in UK and not yet a permanent residence, can one apply for visa to Canada.

I can confirm to you that the cheapest school in the entire UK as far as this course is concerned is university of hull... £11,000. But unfortunately, the have closed to International till January 2023.

But here's my advice, seeking pre-CAS dep of 1k may sound good and conservative, but always bear in mind that 50% is a must for almost all UK schools at enrollment and you're still going to face it upon arrival.

So, here's the catch; seek schools with low tuition and it will be ur best bet. For instance, UCLAN tuition is £14,500 for this course, Bradford fee is £18,500 but will offer you £5,000 in scholarships.

So, explore Google, look out for low tuition, it'll be worth the while.

Thanks.
I am in the same boat, but I was told school rating matters too that I should not just choose any school.. please how through is this ?
