President Bola Ahmed Tinubu released his Renewed Hope manifesto last year to highlight his plans for the country if elected president. He was the first among the candidates to do so. The document is available in PDF format and can be read online or downloaded. Those of us who read the manifesto when it was released are not surprised at what he has done so far. Perhaps, he had said, time without number, that he was gonna hit the ground running. For those shouting 'initial garagara" stop fooling around, this is a man who is fully prepared for the job. Since Tinubu is now our president, it is good that we all have a copy of his manifesto in order to be able to properly assess his performance, especially based on his campaign promises. You can read or download the manifesto here: https://apc.com.ng/img/apc_renewed_hope.pdf

They are real. I also watched both his Chatham House and inauguration speeches. He used teleprompters. I saw the promoters. You can watch the videos again you'll see them. It isn't a big deal actually. It just shows his level of sophistication. To read with such poise from a screen, at his age, shows how smart he is. Even journalists have to learn how to master the use of prompters for seamless newscasting. |
Mustack:He actually uses teleprompter. That's what most leaders use in advanced countries. Reading from paper to address the masses is anachronistic. How many news casters read from paper today? They all use teleprompter. President Tinubu is someone who is so much inclined to modern ideas.

Happy Democracy Day Nigerians!!!! God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria 🇳🇬 Long live our dear President 🙏💚🇳🇬 |

Is this the appropriate time for campaign of columny? Why couldn't you and your sponsor move on. The man has not even officially commence his legislative duty yet, you have already started writing long epistle of rubbish about how his predecessors are better. With the discernable arrogance in this write-up, I'm sure it is handwork of one of those Saraki boys . That's how you kept mocking the governor and making fun of his educational background on radio stations before election. What happened at the end? Your so called illiterate took you to the cleaners in the election. |
Wallahi sai na mareshi. Ya fito mugani 😁 |
Omodua:👍 It's alright |
Kwankwaso used Abba to earn his third term in office. Kano people need to reflect on their political decisions. This isn't the time for pettiness. Governance is not about personal vendetta. It is strictly about serving the people. Kanawa should think well and decide if wearing red cap of danger is what their state needs now or peace and harmony. God bless Kanon Dabo tumbin giwa! God bless Nigeria!! 🇳🇬 |

People who had been fed with lies and propaganda about PBAT were astonished when they met him one on one and listened to him speak. Jagaban is exceptionally gifted and Nigerians will get to know that a town hall is truly different from balablu 😄 No ballyhoo and hullabaloo, Asiwaju is the real deal 👍🇳🇬 |
herkeem:Amen 🙏 |
Wow! See energy, see respect, see love 💚 God has been shaming his haters left, right and center 😄 The most charismatic Nigerian President ever! Politician extraordinary. The first elected president of Nigeria who came fully prepared and not hand picked by a cabal, gate crashed his way to power or pressurised by his people to contest. Sai Jagaba! <><> Sai Nigeria! 🇳🇬 |
hashtagged:Lagos isn't Christian state. You don't identify a heterogeneous society like Lagos with one religion. Moreover, most of the traditional rulers in the state are Muslims and Muslims have also produced three civilian governors same as Christians. |
SEE LEVELS 😀 JAGABAN, THE ENIGMA HIMSELF 💚🎖️🇳🇬 God bless me ❤️ God bless you ❤️ God bless Federal Republic of Nigeria 🇳🇬 🇳🇬 🇳🇬 |
nairalanda1:There are times that tough decisions just have to be made. Fuel subsidy was okay at a certain time, but not anymore. |
alobright17:God bless you! They kept disturbing us with Jonathan this, Jonathan that..as if he was held at gun point to revert the decision. If he believed it was in the best interest of Nigeria, why backing down? He could have calmed the situation by bringing up palliative measures such as minimum wage increment and so on. He succumbed to pressure by partially removing the subsidy and still wasting our money on failed palliative programs such as SURE-P and purchase of buses for transport unions. A good leader should be decisive and proactive on matters that affect the country's economic development. |
isycollins:There would be no more black markets to buy cheap Nigerian fuel ![]() |
Smuggled Nigerian fuel is cheaper, thus black markets make money while filling stations in those countries struggle. Pictures below are examples of a common sight in Benin Republic. Now, with the subsidy removed, smuggling will not be profitable again and the black markets in those countries will close down while their filling stations will smile again

Bunch of bigots fighting religious and tribal war. Funnily, if you attack them in like manner, they would be the first to be crying tribal bigotry allover the place. Hypocrites.......tueh!!!

For the first time since Nigeria adopted the presidential system of government, we are having a government led almost entirely by people who are or were at one time or the other, members of the legislative arm of government. The President - a senator The vice President - a senator The first lady - a senator The Chief of Staff - Speaker, House of Rep. The SGF - a senator From number one to number four of the current government, we will have three senators and one honourable member of house of representatives: The President: Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu The Vice President: Senator Kashim Shettima The Senate President: Senator ?The Speaker, HoR: Hon. ?

madridguy:That's a bitter reality for him ![]() |
homosapien:No no no. It is truly not near where it supposed to be but certainly not even among the worst. I only agreed with him on failure of those who have earned leadership positions in the country to bring remarkable development to the state. |
homosapien:Let's be honest. The guy you quoted said the damn truth. I'm a proud indigene of Ogun State but I'm telling you, the state is far from okay in terms of infrastructure. I was living in an estate owned by Ogun state housing corp, close to Obasanjo farm in Ota during Obasanjo's second term. It was my experience in those days that make me to dislike him till date. The road leading to his own farm was so bad that he couldn't ply it. As president, he would fly to his farm on chopper while leaving his people to suffer the pains of plying the muddy unsightly roads. Ogun state is one of the states with highest number of big towns and industrial estates in Nigeria (E.g., Sango Ota, Shagamu, Ijebu Ode, Ikenne, Ago Iwoye, Agbara, Idi-Iroko, etc.). This means it is one of the most urbanised territories in the country. However, untill recently, Ogun state has some of the poorest intra-state roads in Nigeria Can you even point out any remarkable contribution of Yemi Osinbajo to the development of Ogun State? Meanwhile, we have indigenes of Ogun state who are not in government and still contributing positively to improvement of living conditions of the people |
KingKO22:Please, stop responding to comments made by those idi.ots. It is better you ignore someone whose purpose for making comments is just to spit his frustration on people's faces rather than to make any sense. |
Akungitit:I wonder o. Which cabinet PBAT wan dissolve ![]() Obi..diots would rather strive to earn online relevance than to make sense. |
tonywonder:You are right. However, I'm sure Tinubu will do that. It is part of his mission statement. He talked about paying living wage recently and it is also in his Renewed Hope manifesto. We just need to be patient. This is just his third day in office. |
pekisdgee:This is the right way to tackle issues. Kudos! 👍👍👍👍 |
Samunique:Which proper planning? Has the subsidy already been removed by the previous administration or not? Is there any provision in the 2023 budget for continuous subsidy of fuel beyond June? If you can answer these questions sincerely you would understand why Mr President used the word 'gone'. There is nothing he could have done than to affirm that there would be no more subsidy. Whether he said it or not, it has already been done by Buhari. I think you should have asked the previous government about their plans in mitigating the effects when they made the announcement that subsidy would end in June. Let us jettison hypocrisy while commenting on issues of national interest. This isn't about politics. Here is what PBAT said: "On fuel subsidy, unfortunately, the budget before I assumed office is that no provision is there for fuel subsidy. So fuel subsidy is gone.” |
Most of you are just too eager to criticize due to hatred. He didn't say he removed subsidy. Go through his speech again, the President said there was no provision for subsidy in the budget and therefore, it's gone. He simply reiterated the fact that previous administration had already removed the subsidy, effective from 1 July. No need for this epistle of propaganda. It is too early. PBAT said subsidy is gone because it ends this June and there is law backing it already. He didn't say, "I have removed subsidy." |
Them done hide...àwon werey ![]() Tinubu, their nightmare, is now the president. It has come to pass. Glory be to God |
drlateef:Can you imagine?! All because of hatred, they will believe any shit once it favours their evil thoughts. ICC ko, ICPC ni. Most of them do not even know what ICC means or stands for. |
Thank you Mr. president (though, I'm highly disappointed with the performance of your administration) Anything that has a beginning must have an end. Power is transient Everything in this life is transient The only permanent truth is the certitude of death |
