From monday they'll commence 29th August

You apply to a school, they grant you a conditional offer letter.

You make your deposit and then two things happen, some schools do not require bank statement before issuing CAS while some do.

So it's best to always know the application pattern of the uni you intend applying to as this will help you in planning when to start your 28day count.

If the school doesn't require POF before CAS, then start counting way ahead so that as soon as you get your CAS, the one month bank statement would have been ready and then proceed with your visa application.

You can start your POF count at anytime, it's all about knowing your own timeline.

Oxford Brookes matter strong nor be lie... You have to be following them back to back for your CAS. I really can't count the number of mails I sent to them, I copied several dept in the mails as well.

I sent my POF June 3rd and on June 4th they sent a mail that it's been confirmed so I can use it for my application.

Oya send me my CAS na, they kept saying we are sorry for the delay, you will get it this week, it is now ready for issued etc.

They eventually sent it June 11th or so they said which was on a Friday. On Monday June 14th I had to start disturbing them again before I finally got it.

Summary of my narration is, don't wait for any 10days o, start calling CAS team, ISAT and even mail admissions dept to help escalate the issue for you. Visa dates are fast flying

Same here, Oxford brookes have been too slow recently. The pre-cas stage was so stressful! We are still waiting for the CAS to come through. I was advised today and their excuse was that it can take up to 10 working days for the CAS to be issued. I spoke to the ISAT dept via zoom today.

Your best option is going to IOM physically. You will be able to do a manual booking.

Your date might be a month from the day you go there. That is if you go there 21st June, they might give you 21st July.

But it's still possible to get an earlier date Sha.

Just go there as soon as you can and leave online booking alone for now.

hello, please go with your complete passport for your appointment, it will be taken from you and returned when they're done with it, also you need to take your checklist that you printed with you, there's a place you're suppose to sign, don't sing it yet, only tick the compulsory documents and reupload the checklist to then, it's part of the documents your submitting online, the two basic things you're to take to your appointment is your complete international passport and your checklist, but you can carry all your docs as back up in case they said there's something you failed to upload, I said complete international passport because you were talking about data page

I wasn't able to get the early acceptance discount of £2000. I applied January for msc mental health nursing but didn't get interviewed till April 15th, which was the same deadline for the scholarship.

But I have friends who applied way earlier and got the discount.

The sooner you get your CAS, the sooner you can apply for visa. With the way biometrics date are getting scare, the earlier the better seems like the best way to go.

It's very difficult getting a date via the online booking platform.

It's best you travel down to either Lagos or Abuja and go to the IOM center physically.

Some persons have been doing that and they have gotten dates even in this month of June or at least July.

The school is kinda slow right now eh, I submitted on the 3rd, can't count the number of mails I sent just so I could get my CAS.

I was finally able to get it on Monday this week.

It should take roughly 3days or less. Do confirm from the banker though before you proceed.

It depends on the kind of scholarship you are looking for. Some schools do offer tuition fee discount of £1000 to £3000. Sometimes it's automatic, that is you don't really need to do anything special to get it. Some are gotten only if you apply to the university early.

But if you are asking if its possible to get a full or 50% scholarship based on your cgpa, then I really don't think so.

Maybe someone else who does can shed more lights on it.
PS, some schools do offer pretty decent installmental plan.

Please has anyone used form A for UBA and Stanbic of recent. I did with UBA since last week Monday and I was told today that there’s no Fx. That hopefully before the end of the week they’d get more. I went to stanbic some minutes ago and they said there’s no fax and they haven’t processed since Thursday last week. If you stay in Lagos or you are presently not far from IOM Ikeja office, i will advise you come for your TB test today. I am there right now and my appointment is for 7:30am. The security said it's 8am they will start attending to us. Some of us were like we already have a booking date for today and its for 7:30, so he said if we have a booking then no problem we will be attended to at the right time.

You either stick to your bank or go to your preferred bank and open an account with them.

Or better still, transfer the money into your trusted family member's account or close friend that also banks with the one you have in mind to use. You guys will go to the bank together to initiate the transaction.

Yes you can... When applying for visa, your passport should still have a minimum validity period of 6 months.

Yes, you must have an account in whatever bank you chose to use for your form A.

Or go with someone else who has an account in the bank you are interested in. You will have to transfer the funds to the person's account.

No it's not, it's actually increasing. Some banks are just slightly cheaper, Eco bank do give fair exchange. Today even seems like a good day cos on oanda, pounds is 576 as against 585 yesterday. No one can predict the exchange rates, it flew from 523 to 585 in barely two weeks.

Yea this thing has been giving me concern as well. I just spoke to an Eco bank staff and he said we can actually use Form A to make such payments. That form A is not just for tuition. That we will need to get the necessary documents to prove why we are making the payments, just like how we provided while making tuition deposit.

If only this thing is something we can even pay in advance sef, lol. Pending when we really need it.
