I have a question. I see this screen anytime I try to book an appointment for interview. It's a b1/b2 class visa

Update to this...
DW and I welcomed our baby boy in the first week of November at Emory University Hospital , Midtown Atlanta as initially planned.

Summary of how it all went.

Re-applied and got October 3rd as the earliest date for interview, efforts to get a closer date proved abortive even with agents. So I had to take excuse from my training to make it there for the interview and then back to PH on the next flight after Interview.

Interview transcript (VO was a black guy and he had actually approved like three persons while we were there)

DW and Me : Good morning

VO: Good morning , your passports please

VO: Why are you going to the US?

DW: To birth our first child

He was reading on the computer for like a minute

VO: Let's try to unpack this, I will ask you a couple of questions and then we will see.

VO: (Facing me) , where do you work ?

Me: I work at xxxx

VO: How long have you been with them

Me: 8 years going on 9

VO: Do you have Hospital/Doctor's correspondence?

DW and Me: Yes ,we do and payment receipt too (Passes them to him)

VO: (Facing me) What countries have you been to?

Me: UK, Turkey ,Kenya, UAE ,France and Netherlands

VO: Interesting

VO: And when last did you travel as a couple?

DW and Me : We were in London and Turkey last August till first week in September

VO: Okay (Facing DW) , why did you apply to Canada Ma'am?

DW: For visit

VO: Who do you know in Canada

DW: Friends

VO: Okay, I'm reading through your history now and it doesn't make sense to me why you were called back the last time.Well ,I am going to approve your visa now and I can assure you won't be called back this time (Now , that was peaceful to hear ...lol)

VO: What they say is true , avoid discounts that may affect your future renewal.Take this pink slip and go over there to pay your reciprocity fee and drop your passports. You can pick up next week, have a safe delivery

DW and Me: Thank you

POE

DW flew Delta to ATL the following week @35weeks (We got fit to fly but they did not even ask to see it according to her) with wheelchair service at POE.
Just few questions about her trip and got stamped for 6months .No luggage check

I joined her 12 days later after my training and POE was also smooth for me.Just that the Inspection guys checked my bags for few minutes.

Accommodation

We rented Airbnb apartments for the whole 10 weeks stay

Documentation

Special thanks to @TripleKMama for being there whenever I had questions, since we used the same hospital.

Most of the information regarding Emory and documentation has already been highlighted by her on this thread.
In addition , a friend sent me this too.

" US Passport Application

1. At the hospital, you will be required to fill a document requesting the newborn baby's birth certificate and social security number
2. Pick up birth certificate from the county
3. Book an appointment at the Atlanta passport office (https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/get-fast/passport-agencies/atlanta.html)
4. Take a passport picture of baby

For further information, see:

The links were helpful.

Applied for Nigeria Visa through OIS Atlanta for $180 with UPS next day delivery envelope ($75),visa approved after 7 working days (December rush).

Now back in Nigeria to celebrate the season with family and friends that have been waiting to meet our bundle of joy.

Thanks to everyone with advice and kind words the last time,we are grateful.

Wishing you guys success in your application and the subsequent trip. God makes everything beautiful in His time

Merry Christmas and a very happy new year in advance

how long did it take for the birth certificate to be processed?

Indeed, this is a wrong forum for this. Just so you know, she qualify for medicaid because no one is working yet. In addition, public charge rules have nothing to do with legal residence. Again, I am not trying to cheat the system. We all like to judge someone here not knowing the predicament of the person. Thank you all for the response

Yes you are abusing the system. One of the requirements for adjustment of status is proof of funds. Hopefully you didn’t have someone sponsor you? That person would be legally obligated to repay the state whatever funds you used.

See page 12 - https://www.uscis.gov/system/files_force/files/form/i-485instr.pdf?download=1

This is not a case of adjustment of status from my understanding. He relocated with PERM status directly from Nigeria. If he is not employed he has the legal right to seek assistance for his pregnant wife since he just moved and would have no source of income for the first few months. Also i think his case is different as the funds you would need to show is cost of living not necessarily for serious medical expenses like a pregnancy.

Although i have never heard of anyone who moved to the US with a green card except family sponsorship (one member of the family is already based here and working and would have insurance) or green card lottery.

I really am not sure how medicaid works but i believe it would apply to him since pregnancy and those above 65 are considered first.
good. That is the case. I moved from Nigeria with a GC. My insurance will kick in in about 30days but my wife doesn't have insurance yet. Just need a recommendations on how to get a doctor in Atlanta

Looks like he’s asking the wrong question.

We don’t give out information on how to abuse the Medicaid System.

Neither do we encourage prospective mothers to give birth using Medicaid as a form of payment.
I am a legal residence and I am not trying to abuse the system. When I start working, I will file and pay my tax including contributing to social security. Thank you

Hi, first I think you are on the wrong thread/forum. Most of the people here are not in the same bracket as yourself. Anyway, you just need to find an obygyn near your house. This is the best way to start. Once you do tell them that you would be using Medicare. They can apply for you directly. Alternatively, go to the hospital you plan to deliver and ask how to apply for Medicare.

I believe it’s a little complicated as they usually would not give a new immigrant medicare( when you applied for migration you must have showed some sort of funds you had available to settle for at least 6 months even if you are unemployed) I’m not sure how it works. You can also go to care.gov. Note that you would at least need a social security number before you can do any of this legally and properly.

PS: if any of you is able to get a job before the delivery date, your employer would provide you insurance and that can also cover your spouse.

You should also check https://medicaid.georgia.gov/eligibility-faqs

Good luck!
thanks

Hi good people. I and my wife are travelling to the US on an immigrant Visa. My wife is currently pregnant. She is at 33 weeks and we are travelling around when she is 35 or 36. We plan to take Royal air maroc. Now my questions are:
1. Do we need to get medical fit to fly certificate? If yes, where do we get it
2. Any one ever used this airline as a pregnant woman, share your experience. Thanks all

plz how can a RN further her studies abroad
at r the requirements and the best country to apply to
how many years one would spend before being awarded a degree
You could seek for admission aboard. well there is nothing like the best country to get a degree. it depends on your pocket. UK universities that offer degree to already registered RN takes 1 year to complete and you could just do another 1 year to get a masters degree. i hope this helps you.

House please advise me.
I have sent my license to the council for renewal but I'm yet to collect it and I want to register with CGFN and I learn they ask for licence details so I want to ask if I can proceed with the registration or I should wait till I collect my licence.
Also I'm yet to sit for ielts. Thinking I should do the nclex first and do the ielts later if it will be needed.
Also I have my RN in 2010 and my bsc from NOUN this year, is it advisable to evaluate both or I should just do the RN and forget the bsc. I'm planning to apply for TEXAS BON LICENCE
Please advice
well yes your license details are needed. Even council needs a photocopy of your license photocopy. As for ielts, you could write it after nclex. No biggie. Its better to evaluate both. I hope it help

Anyone who has gone through Texas should answer this. I know that documents submission and payment to Cgfns takes 3 months... I can't say how long it takes Cgfns to send a report to your board.
well it depends on when you sent your documents

Good evening guys, has anybody tried newyork? It doesn't requre SSN, jurisprudence exam and the pay is better. I'm just wondering why everyone is going for texas
they may not require SSN to write nclex. How about getting the license after passing. They may say you must get your SSN before your license is issued. Make research well before going for a BON.

Good evening house. After reading through comments and success stories, from this thread I decided to take a bold step. I am preparing to start my CES evaluation this week. I had BON Texas on my mind but I'm scared because I don't know what the jurisprudence exam looks like.
Please I need help on how to prepare for the exam, What materials are available and how often do people pass it.
you are funny. You heard of exam and you are afraid. Jurisprudence exam is an open book exam that you can take again and again if you don't pass. Its all about nurse practice act, rules and regulations as regards to Texas. You should be fine
