What makes it bad? If like many religious folks feel it is against their religion then religion is likely fraud. They never created themselves this way therefore, it either means God does not exist or you folks are claiming to be wiser than the God you believe in.

As a queer person in Nigeria, I can boldly say most of the men condemning the act here are closet gay and bi men. I have seen many shame the act online as a way to deflect attention on them.

Considering his age & level in life, FIRS is not the place to go. He should be eyeing places like NCC, NSIA, NIMASA (UK posting), BOI, NNPC, NDIC, NAHCON, NUPRC, MOFI; places he can get x2-3 extra of his annum. He can as well Find a Ministry work that they'll post him to Projects with huge fundings; 2yrs is enough to power him.

I have gotten more information from the acquaintance I mentioned about 2 weeks ago. He is not willing to accept the offer because the offer gave no information on salary and job description. He said the agency is FIRS and all they mentioned was they are offering him a manager position. His folks are seriously on his case begging him to accept it but he is not convinced on why he should accept something that blindly. He is close to 40 in age and has a MBA and reasonable years of experience.

My advice to him is that his folks should get him something in the private sector at a more senior level if they want him to return as I am not sure the pay will be so great in a government agency. I feel the challenge is that he is not willing to return home yet because he is not sure what the country holds for him. Also, he is thinking there will be more pressure on him to get married which he is avoiding as much as he can.

How do you hike fees from N90k to N580k? The VC should be summoned and the entire governing council suspended. Some people are heartless.

You don't have to take it personal. It is a public fora and I can't force him to disclose considering I am a third party in this conversation. I am sharing because it seemed strange to me how things are happening in our government and how it seems it is a norm from what I read on here.

My friend said the guy got an offer letter that only stated he was offered Manager. From his understanding, the letter did not state the job description, start date, salary, benefits etc. That the letter was backdated to late last year and all they emphasized was the probation period, time notice for severance, and he is to present a medical certificate. He believes it since it was sent to him through email and his uncle confirmed it nonetheless, he isn't sure it is good enough but his parents had assured him that they will be compensating him besides his salary. They just want him to come back home at all cost.

He's accepted his fate and that is what life is. Life is in phases.

Having read a few pages on this topic since I came to inquire for my friend, why do people redact income information? Why is the income information not public for government institutions?

Please, is it possible to get an offer letter within a week? My friend I talked about told me he was informed he will get his offer letter this week. He should check his email every morning for the letter and he has to plan to come next week for his documentation. He wasn't informed of where but he was assured of his letter. Is this how easy it is getting an offer considering I have read through people asking questions on here without answers?
