I am in a similar boat and considering filing an appeal. I understand if you have reasonable grounds, you’ll be allowed to retake the relevant section again. Have you thought about this or has anyone successfully filed an appeal? What was the outcome? My issue was my screen. I complained that it was dim right from the beginning of the test. I use glasses and the dim screen slowed me down so I didn’t finish typing. Got a B2 but band 6. My other épreuves were bands8,7,7

congratulations anyway, you tried. But it does not work that way. Except if the centre can complain on your behalf or on the behalf of the whole centre. It will be somehow hard. But still appeal though while planning to retake it albeit be more cautious next time. Ask the invigilator to test properly before starting. By the way, what module was this?

Guys I got C1 in 3 modules and a B2 in 1 module which is comprehension ecrite and d score was 412, and my simulation shows I didn't get the extra 50 points cos probably I need a higher B2 mark..

So I think d B2 talked about should be emphasised to be a high B2. It sucks

sorry dear. It is better to concentrate all your energies on all levels than one. What I did was to aim for at least B2 CLB7 in each module than to just get C1, C2 , then lower B2 CLB6 in one of them. Just rinse and repeat, you will sure get it the second time. However, don't focus on just CE the second time, focus on all of the modules and more so on your weakness. Success on your next attempt bro.

Please has anyone experienced this? What does mean?

give it some time and check again. There are many things that do happen with WES. I once paid the fees one time and it said that my money was on hold till after some time, it later said paid. So give it time, if it doesn't show submit then contact their support line

this was the first draw, the recent draw on July 12 was 375. You should bother about the lowest score

I have been on this journey since 2019.

Wrote my first IELTS and got LRSW 9987, CRS was 463 then COVID hit and everything went downhill from there. Watching time run out on my IELTS was one of the most painful things, I was so pained that I just ignored Canada.

Last month a friend encouraged me to write IELTS and enter the pool again. I did on the 24th and got LRSW 9888. I was so afraid but thank God I passed. CRS is now 445 due to age. The pain no be here.

Meanwhile I did a tech course in 2022 and pivoted because law is not a cross-border profession. I also dabbled into farming during COVID because man must chop.

As it stands now na only God fit run this Canada PR for me and I am writing this post just to put it out there that I will not write this traumatic IELTS again and my ECA will not expire in my hand without me and my family getting our PR.

Currently also learning french. I have suffered on top this matter.

Don't worry as every body has said, learn French, my own age was going up while my CRS was depleting. My bail out was French too, I used French alone with my degree because that's the only thing that could have given me 50+ points. Even Ph.d can't give me that. I don't wanna bore you with stories. I almost threw in the towel because sometimes my tiredness can be tired too. So, brace up and do it.

I think you missed some vital part of my story. My chances of getting ITA as a single applicant is greatly reduced due to my age. However, I (or we) stand a better chance applying as a couple having both written IELTS and evaluated our Master degrees.

I'm also interested in knowing. It will help me and my spouse make an informed decision. In my own case, I am just about to get married. I was applying alone and I was on 482 until my points dropped to 474 due to age. I convinced my fiancée to write IELTS and evaluate her higher degree and we now both stand on 499 with her as the PA.
However, she just picked up a very wonderful appointment here in Nigeria. Too good to consider letting go. Meanwhile, I am a mid-senior level public servant with a not-so-impressive salary and I am currently pursuing my PhD. I want to go and hustle in Canada for few years while she maintains her job in Nigeria.

very dicey situation. I can't advice she leaves her lucrative job immediately, because you don't immediately start making money massively upon arriving in Canada. Also, it's better you come alone, though the relationship may not remain the same again. But if the love is strong enough that can withstand temptations and distance barriers, come then do spousal visa for her later.

Not at the moment, but DELF B2 is one of the required proficiency french exams.Check Quebec immigration website too
