regular check up of such parts, I have seen a lot of cars who fall victim of such, our roads r not too good so its beta u reduce d shock n vibrations u send to those parts.
if u frequent untarred roads, let ur mech help u check it wen u go 4 servicing, it helps to reduce d embarrassment.

the 4wd is an option which aids easy movement in off-road conditions.
it has a switch at the auxiliary gear stick to engage and disengage it.
except u r taking the car to farm or village which the road is very bad DAT will require d four wheels moving independently to avoid bin stock.
I don't want to judge u by ur moniker (female + doctor), I can't possibly phantom where u will b going that you want to take the car to that will require engaging the 4wd. I want to believe if u got an accord/Camry/corrola/civic etc it will move on same road u intend riding the SUV.
don't misquote me, its an awesome feature in a vehicle.

depends on what you want in a car...what do you want in a car and mind you mercedes 1998-2004 c class covers different models that you don't want to start a comparison....even with the mercedes alone..moreso what's your conceptualisation of economical? lomomike..etal

mind u d two variants fits different class and taste.
to me the two are worlds apart in terms of performance.
though I use a Camry (pencil) not that I can't afford a Benz BT its a tale for another day.
it depends on what u want from your car.

For ur information, more people read posts here on NL Dan comment, so wen u c someone clearing some issues,it is not a warranty 4 u to b hitting on the person, av seen a guy, who bought a car n believed all he needed do was to just fuel n drive as long as d car doesn't disappoint him.

I don't know if am the only one noticing this:
there is noting lyk ZERO maintenance, from the 1st day u buy d car u start spending, there are sum little little things you spend on. There r diff types of maintenance, corrective, preventive and others.
if u r going with the mentality of zero maintenance, den u r neglecting the preventive maintenance which will in turn result in corrective maintenance.
pls, wen u buy the car if u notice any abnormality in the car consult ur mech(not kazeem).

my advice is DAT u don't buy a car worth exactly 500k u should b aiming at a car worth 400-450k.
from what u said, u struggled to save up DAT 500k, cars can be funny @ tyms so you won't regret bin a car owner.

The honda city is a nice car, its just the civic that has kept it in the shadows. Also note that that particular model year came with CVT transmission, I repeat again CVT transmission, honda automatic gears don't like an iota of abuse not to talk of their CVT transmission so get research on CVT before you dabble into it.

what a sweet advice, else your seemingly fantasy of d car will turn nightmare (God 4 bid)

What kind of comparison is this? The only reason someone would choose a Chevrolet aveo over a Honda accord is because of fuel economy, nothing else.

If u are talking about the first generation aveo which started on 2002, it has only one definition: ECONOBOX. It is even worse than a corolla. In summary

So op, u decide what u want.

don't b deceived by d mpg of d aveo, accord has a fair mpg.

my candid advice is u go 4 d baby boy, it has better technical know how compared to d Chevy aveo.
I advice people to sample the streets, wen u buy car dat is scarce, wen d issues arise peradventure, u might b in for it.

That's why I 'guessed' that since highlander use same gear as lexus, it should have gear issues too.

Let me also inform you that you will spend sooo much on fuel, sensors and the dashboard will always produce bubbles which will entail very expensive repairs.

meanwhile, I will agree with the advice given u to go for the Lexus, its sweet and cool to drive good performance then the outlook is not bad.
For the gear issue you said, its not right info, a friend has been using his(2005 model) without such problems.
