Car Talk / Re: Help!! Toyota Highlander Or ML 350 by DGD1(m): 7:52am On Dec 19, 2015
Bossforeva:
If ur Husband is well to do, go 4 350.. O9 Highlander is shi..t compared to the Benz.... Unless you decided to go for the 010 facelift anyway.

what makes it shit?
this is practically a couple who know little about cars and you guys are talking as if they are petrol-heads.
what does an average Nigerian need in a car that is missing in that highlander?
don't tell me balancing @ top speed, I laugh when I read such. Give this couple a 2002 highlander and they would appreciate.

@ OP, wait till your dealer gets you a highlander!
a salvaged highlander will last in Nigeria more than a clean non-salvaged benz.

@OP, not that the highlander won't develop fault due to wear and tear, the good news is that it is easier to fix compared to the ML.

As Gazzuzz said the other time, there is a reason toyota is scarce and expensive.
Good luck

You are right. I hardly obey those ridiculous road side speed limit signs but according to FRSC regulations, the prescribed limits by road type are:
Built-up areas: 50 km/h.
Less-populated areas: 80 km/h.
Highways: 100 km/h.
Is it even possible to comply with these?

there was a time I saw 60km/h on a highway, checking my speedometer I was on 140km/h. I tried to imagine why speed limit sign was @ that spot in the first place.

Lol... very funny man. I asked that question because you said your "brake light & rear lamps" are on.
The brake light to my understanding, is already part of the rear lamps. Are you saying other lights apart from the brake lights are on?

he is frustrated,
the car is riding him now.

He who finds a good mechanic at arms reach(in nigeria) , finds a good thing

definitely you will comply after a couple of fines and bail out.
I stay in nigeria here, most times I do almost the speed limit of such roads, I tend to wonder if the engineers were high when putting the signs

But I have a question to ask, the only Avensis that is turbo charged is the 2.2 D4D model as in a turbo charged diesel engine. So I haven't seen a 1.8L turbo charged version, so what engine variant are you using and a pix of the trophy Racer would be nice.

I've been expecting this question from you since.

I really like your inquisitiveness

Sometimes, what we don't know doesn't kill us.. . It's what we know that kills us... People have been driving cars with AC for long and nobody died from benzene inhalation... Some people don't even wind down their Windows unless they want to buy something in traffic yet they are still alive...

Don't briing previous beef to this thread naaa, he has got some point here.

should incase u didn't get, what he meant was that you packing your car in the open space with your glass wound up for over 6hrs, exposing to heat from the sun. there are some resultant effect from the dashboard and whatever air-freshner used, that benzene (abi na benzema) poses a health risk.

Don't buy the sienna.

If you really desire efficiency economy tolerance to bad roads and mechanics, buy the toyota picnic.

yeah the picnic is a good car, I know a couple of people (men and women) who use it as an everyday car.
go along with someone who knows about cars well (not by mouth o) to check well before you pay/buy
