Please I need an art work preferably drawing, of the country Nigeria depicted as a woman being rape, stab, and bleeding by our politicians. It should be graphic enough. |
Nairalanders, 2023 is fast approaching, are we going to allow these vultures in government and the civil service to continue to loot our common patrimony? The country has no future for the youths of today because our parents kept mute when the vultures in government and civil service were destroying Nigeria and now tomorrow is fast approaching, what will be the fate of our children and our young siblings in this vulturised country. It should be noted that in Nigeria we don't have political leaders, what we have are vultures running the affairs of the country. |
Good luck madam |
Quite unbelievable that in your own country you are assume a slave, and treated as such. The management should be prosecuted and the Indians repatriated as soon as possible. |
Police in Nigeria have rescued 300 people they say were locked in a rice-processing factory and forced to work throughout a coronavirus lockdown. From the end of March the men were allegedly not allowed to leave the mill in the northern city of Kano. The workers were promised an additional $13 (£10) a month on top of their $72 monthly salary - those who did not accept were threatened with the sack. Five managers at the Indian-owned mill have been arrested. The company, called Popular Farms, has not responded to BBC requests for comment. Police spokesman Abdullahi Haruna told the BBC that the plant had now been shut down and the owners were being investigated for "holding the men against their will". Some of the men say were forced to work most of the time during their incarceration, with little food. "We were allowed to rest for only a short time, no prayers were allowed, no family visits," 28-year-old Hamza Ibrahim, one of those rescued, told the BBC's Mansur Abubakar in Kano. 'Living like animals' The police were tipped off about the men's plight after one of them called a human rights organisation. "What I saw was heart breaking. Where the company kept these people to live isn't fit for animals," Karibu Yahaya Kabara of the Global Human Rights Network told the BBC. "Their meals weren't enough and there were no drugs for those that took ill," he said.Mr Kabara said his organisation was taking up the case to ensure that the men got justice. Nigerian businesses were asked to close up shop in late March as part of government guidelines to halt the spread of coronavirus. The country has more than 20,000 confirmed cases of Covid-19, the respiratory disease caused by the virus. Lagos, in the south, remains the epicentre of the virus, but Kano - Nigeria's second-biggest city and the capital of Kano state, has the most cases in the north. Lockdowns elsewhere in the country have been eased - but in Kano people are still only allowed to go out on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays to buy food at stipulated times. Popular Farms workers say they were asked to double their hours in February as their employers wanted to stockpile in preparation for a shutdown. By March they say it was decided to keep the plant going by offering them more money - or the sack - to stay on working. However, having agreed to stay on the workers discovered they had been prevented from ever leaving the mill. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-53150037 |
I feel really sad because I believe I and other innocent customers of Sterling Bank have been cheated by Sterling Bank, the one customer bank. Here is what happened. I sent a message to their Twitter handle requesting Naira to USD exchange rate and monthly limit on their Naira MasterCard. They replied my twit through DM stating the Naira to dollar exchange rate is N385 with a $2000 monthly spending limit, but should also confirm with their Onebank app because the rate fluctuates. So on Tuesday morning I decided to initiate a $998.62 transaction after confirming rate from their Onebank app which as at the time of the transaction was N385, but I got a shocker when I received an alert of the transaction that doesn't correspond to the advertised rate on the Onebank app. The 970usd transaction was settled at N445, a whopping N50 difference. This is totally wrong. I believe the N385 being shown on their Onebank app is deliberate, and its aim is to deceive their customers. This deliberate misinformation with its wicked aim by Sterling Bank should stop immediately. CBN and other relevant agencies with oversight function should upped the responsibility so that innocent Nigerians will not be swindled by dubious corporate entities like Sterling Bank. If you have fallen victim of Sterling Bank or any of these Nigerian banks please share your experience.

What's the problem of the police, is it your frustration? |
It's really annoying, I just went through my account with stanbic IBTC and the charges for stamp duty a day is very sad. The policy needs to be revoked, we can't continue to feed politicians who are wicked and stone cold. This is how we will pay the loans they are collecting, loans that will eventually get looted.

It's now a crime to ask for accountability from those occupying position of service. How can we progress as a nation if accountability is alien to us? Tomorrow the school authority will be saying trash about the fg. Which the Nigerian youths and students of funaab will come together and fight this high handedness, unfortunately our priority as youths is bbnaija Celebs and other foolish celebs. |
I said it in the other thread, that the seizure is not recent, considering the pictures attached, but some are ass licking customs and the government, knowing so well that we are a country of liars and foolish people. Economic hardship has made us to lose our sense of critical thinking. So sad that freedom is tomorrow and not today. |
From the pictures you will conclude it is a lie. Those containers have been in the port for ages, customs should stop these lies, we know they are working. |
the reason you have two terminals is because the single terminals are small and cannot accommodate a wire that is to carry 60amp current, so they split it into two terminals to accommodate two thin wires that will equal the current gauge of a single fat wire. the two positive terminals have continuity, same with the negative terminals. Valto:Though it work as an inverter the efficency will make you reconsider using an inverter. Use a meter, read the power drawn from from the battery and actual power being consume from the ac side. |
