Sports / Re: Chelsea Come From Two Down To Draw Liverpool In Thriller by Dhavido(m): 7:31am On Jan 03, 2022
It was indeed a great game. I was particularly pleased with the way Chelsea control the midfield, Kante is a freaking TANK. He makes the transition from midfield to attack so easily with the way he takes on the opposing players.

City already won the league cry cry so we will console ourselves with the fighting spirit the team had to comeback against Liverpool. COYB

Dunks Akindele is really a strong lady. The hatred from her female colleagues is so glaring that even the blind can see, there was also a time she was banned from featuring in any Yoruba movie as a punishment for something she did buh she still stood out in the industry

Romance / Re: Single People How Do You Cope With Being Alone by Dhavido(m): 8:33pm On Aug 07, 2021
There are so many online courses in varying fields that you can take, both paid and free classes. You will be so engaged with it that your days might start appearing shorter cheesy. Just get yourself a strong internet connection and look up courses of interest online.

You can as well take yourself out, I don’t know the city you are but I know there’ll be so many fun places to visit. Might be an evening out at a karaoke bar, instead of staying back at work past closing hours. You can just come home, shower, change into something else and go back out.

You can also invite friends over to your place for a fun time at weekends. Might be to watch a movie together, play games (chess, scrabble, monopoly, ludo or even video games).

All that being said, I see being single as fun and rarely get lonely. It’s mostly work, learning new things, watching movies, schooling, watching football and playing games.

Guys have advised you nicely. And I can tell you another hack that works.

If you have about 3 people abroad that trust you, send each one of them $10 each (about 5,050). Total of 15,000. This is your capital to becoming a level 2 seller.

Tell them to use the money you sent and order your gig. Fiverr takes a commission and will pay you the rest.

Your friends must leave a review and of course their location will be clearly visible on the review. I de bet you guy...

Stay online as often as you can and give it two weeks. Na you go run from orders. But really you have to be as good as your friends will say you are.

Wow!!! Thanks a lot for this, I’ve learnt sooo many things from Nairaland today

360command:
create project work you have done for people or for yourself and post it online.

Create a Facebook fan page, Instagram fan page, a web page showing your works and some other contents within your field.

Join various groups (Facebook) within your niche, and be an active member.
Research on Facebook, check if they have it but if not, then come out with your Facebook group page by giving it a name like "web developer in Nigeria " or "web developer in Lagos " or "web developer in Michigan" . Now, when you are able to boost your page, the people who joined your group are either clients or web developer. This makes you have future leads....

Facebook ads can be crucial, so you might need to pay Facebook in other for them to boost your pages.

Omo, there are ways to make it, you just want someone to spoon feed you.

Ps: if you say you are good at what you do, go on YouTube and create videos, with time, you will get leads from different sources.
YouTube came up with "YouTube short", take advantage of their algorithm which can help push your videos to a greater audience.

Thanks a lot for this

Don't dive into the exams at crossover.com o. U go wound.

My advice, create a dummy account unrelated to you. Create a new email address if you have to. Don't put your real phone number. Leave your LinkedIn blank. Have a go at the tests. I stumbled at the aptitude tests stage. U get two attempts. If you fail the first one. You have a 2nd final attempt. If u fail that 2nd one na 6 months wait. So DON'T RUSH

I am on reddit to try and get exposure to US markets. That's how I got the connection for the VOIP opening. Fingers crossed that it comes out successful. I didn't join reddit looking for jobs o. I joined to grow my knowledge. The opening was one I stumbled across on one of the subreddds I follow

Thanks for the heads up bro. I for don go set myself up cheesy grin

If you're using Naija as your location it'll be difficult but not impossible to get jobs. Try buying or find a way to get an upwork account with U.S., Canada, or top European countries as your location, your story will change.

You can also check some random websites that you know and send them emails too. Tell them what is wrong with their website and how you can help them make it better, just for a small change.

Thanks for this info. Won’t I encounter issues when I get paid for a job and I try to withdraw to my Nigerian bank account from my Canadian upwork account?

Try jobs.crossover.com. Jobs start from $15/hr. But the screening is intense o. Midway through two applications. Na blood

Also had an interview last week for a small VOIP business in California. Expecting a reply today or tomorrow

For the crossover.com opening. Don't rush. Practice aptitude tests well.

Thanks bro, I’ll check it out immediately

Omo!!! Make una share abeg, I’m a Frontend web developer. I’ve been applying for freelancing gigs on upwork but I’m yet to get any job after about two months. I guess it’s because I’ve not done any upwork job and they prolly don’t trust my ability.

Some of the jobs are as easy as styling a single button with CSS, something that won’t take me 30 minutes to do but I never got the job.

You guys should kindly share tips on how you got your first freelancing job on upwork, I’ll be reading the comments.

Which Yaba?? Rent in Yaba is expensive, you should be looking at 350k.

I stay at Yaba ma’am so I know what I’m saying. You can even get a single room self con for 450k in the same Yaba. Comfort is relative you know

A friend of mine earns about 125k and pays 350k per annum for a one bedroom self contain in Ajah.

Thats like 3months salary.

It is much no doubt..But you cant get a nice apartment (self con) in ajah below that price. yes there are some lucky lads that pays 250_300 but honestly the % is low.

The same 350k can get him a two or three bedroom in some areas in the mainland.

Cost, Comfort, Convenience, Ease to your work place is key in getting an apartment.

I assume your friend is working on the island, with 250K he could have gotten a very decent self con apartment around Yaba which has close proximity to the island.
