Wike fixed federal roads and was refunded by the federal government….it’s not rocket science. No need going back and forth with you. If ikpeazu did will he would have at least won his senatorial bid, the Pdp candidate for gubernatorial election would lose too because Ikpeazu did absolutely nothing for 8years.
NwekereNdoki:

Oga shut up.

That the federal road between PH and Aba is bad does not mean The whole of Abia is littered with bad roads.

It is like passsing thru Badagry expressway and saying Lagos has bad road.

Just de play. Aba that I couldn’t drive to from ph yesterday…i had to go through igurita and to owerrinta before linking up osisioma. Aba has no roads.

I really have nothing against gays and lesbians …but no just carry am come my side, I even have a gay customer and the only thing joining us is just business….now back to my opening sentence If God can actually allow Haemophrodites to be born ( they were born so and not by choice)….then I think people can also be wired to be gay and rewiring that mindset i feel is playing God. Please only counter my stance if you can prove being born a haemophrodite is by choice. Thank you

Yea...those days, there were fewer riders and drivers. So those odds could be higher relative to now.
I guess so. But its still a small world tho

Reading comments on this thread brought back memories and from the look of things nothing really changed…the system is still stacked against the drivers….I miss the crazy days i was a driver on Uber and sometimes I just wish i get back on it…in all Big ups to you all that keep grinding on..may the odds continue to be in your Favor.

OMG grin grin grin
Really, what are the odds that u will pick someone twice in this Lagos?

The odds are relatively high. Back when i did Uber in Lagos i had like 4 cases where I picked up same rider on different occasions and random places. Damn..I miss the good old days on Uber.

I don't think anyone can stop you from picking up someone in a fuel station... I think you missed a 5-6k trip
pope191:

Hmm and I just reject long trip to ikorudu from yaba now, the rider said I'll bring him back... But his position is at a filling station, sometin just tell me this is a trap grin

Thanks brother. Really appreciate the kind words
gobuchinny:

You are the one with a beautiful and compassionate soul...some drivers won't care about the rider but you showed class...yes sometimes it might not work out and you lose but trust me bro you building character that will bring you favour when you do meet the right people.

Sometime last year during raining season I carried a rider, iz was a long distance trip and close to her destination there was massive flood around that ajah axis...Mehn d place be like river Niger shocked..told her I couldn't go any further..she was very upset and rightfully so...I just told her not to worry about the fare as I didn't fulfil my part of the contract by dropping her off at her location...immediately her anger turned to surprise/shock...she insisted on paying and I said no...she wanted to cry as she couldn't comprehend...she left me a 5 star and a review..

Sometimes we drivers make riders look down on us...I c d way some drivers dress when I request and yes I know the guy prolly slept in the car overnight but notwithstanding...me when I was driving my packaging na die cheesy.Infact so many riders esp d younger ones/university students and even oloshos will enter my car and great me straight because on my dressing and carriage...I won't make or receive a call during trips and if I have to I inform the rider..I never just decide to change the radio station without recourse to the rider...riders are nice if we treat them as kings tho some are irredeemable grin

Keep it up bro..

So today I picked up a rider from yaba to ikoyi... Card trip.. Now I was supposed to turn at Tafewa balewa/broad street to link up awolowo... I really dunno what I was thinking and passed the turning... The rider asked why I didn't turn.. I apologized and blamed it on the Uber map.. She was like this route is just too long and was calm about it... I made the turn at the next tafewa belewa exit and as we made it up the bridge into ikoyi I ended the trip, twas 800.. She asked why I ended the trip and I told her I didn't want it to be like I took a longer route so as to fleece her off more cash.. She said wow okay.. Next thing she asks for my account number and I gave her... Just as I was about dropping her off she credited me with 3k... I thanked her and zoomed off with a smile so wide I could have swallowed a banana sideways.. Some people just have beautiful souls

In this scenario I'd advice you tell the rider to "add stop" and when you get there you confirm the stop...or you can manually update destination via ur app....(does not Always work for me tho.. Cuz my app has a mind of its own and chooses when to allow me update destination) or you can "stop new requests" freestyle to the different stops and hope to see an amount that's gon make you smile at the end of the trip.

Pls I'm a newbie
If for example rider destination is admiralty road lekki and I picked rider at palms shoprite,
But on our way I was asked to turn to federal palace to pick someone and then go to lekki from there.
Do I need to ask rider to change destination to federal palace and changet again to lekki or it doesn't matter the price won't be affected ?

Kindly assist
Business / Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by dhavydo(m): 8:55pm On Feb 13, 2019
Always ask the rider preferred route to follow and confirm the address on the map after starting the trip... Me I always ask for preferred route even if I'm taking rider from local airport to mm2 or international. Saves you from a lot of snide remarks and eventual poor rating
Chae:

Bro please can you put me tru on how to make use of Google map to look for alternative route, av been having issue with riders on it. Rider keep saying I went to go and take long journey so that my their bill wil fAT. Pls I think I don't know how to make use of it accurately.

Lol. I told them I wanted to accept a request and he asked why I didn't park..... Truth be told.. Driving on Uber doesn't absolve you from obeying simple laws of driving... Operating my phone the way I was is a big no. Anyway diff strokes for diff folks. [quote uote author=uchemac2 post=75696481]

Have had quite my share of card trips from yesterday.. Did 10 trips yesterday.. 7 card... Normally it's no problem but I kept on crisscrossing ikoyi and Lekki toll gates.... Now today first request was card I jejely canceled second request was cash and I quickly went on with it..I'd estimated like 1k5..last last trip ended and I saw rider owes 0...the woman was like "oh yea I have Uber credits"... Ended trip n checked the fare and twas 1k4.... I almost shed a tear... Anyways I've done 8 trips today and 6 has been card also... I really dunno who I've offended.

Some riders tho.... Got a pick up request and I called to confirm pick up location.
Me: Good afternoon Ma...you requested an Uber, kindly confirm the pickup location number on street

Rider: where are you?
Me: I'm at Spar Lekki.
Rider: then why are you calling me? You should only call me when you get to my gate. I even thought you were at the gate. Don't call me again if you are not at my gate.
Me: okay ma..have a nice day.
And I happily canceled the trip.
Life's too short to stress myself with unruly riders... Rather than having a bad trip which would boil down to a bad rating I totally avoid such trips.

Yea. I believe some of them don't just understand how the ratings work.
iyaegin:

I now strongly believe riders need serious educating.i only did 3 trips yesterday nine none of Dem was bad, dey were good trips riders were happy and yet one of Dem still rated me 1 star and I strongly believe that person no understand how to rate seriously just dey drop my score for no sensible reason...
Business / Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by dhavydo(m): 2:00pm On Jan 30, 2019
We have almost identical ratings tho.. I have nine 1 star ratings too.. One of em rated me 1 star Cuz I refused to allow 6 people in the car.. Another for refusing to speed up on a bad road Cuz she didn't want her money to "go up"
Pretty unfortunate riders I'd say.
pooozeee:
If you are analytical, please kindly explain and comment the ratings below, explain why would a rider rate me 1star 9times.

Asking for directions in this Lagos can be really frustrating... Asked a guy direction to a street and he's like "when you get to that junction just left your right" I'm like you say? He boldly repeated the same thing... I nodded and flashed him a wry smile... Thanked him and zoomed tf outta his sight.

Yea. I always try to have change and if it lingers I'd opt to refund via the app
Gentlelife50:

Don't mind them, I always give them the Yeye change. Unless I don't have, some will even shamelessly collect while some will just walk away immediately before u even look for change

Some riders can hassle for change eeeh..... Always going with the cliche 'you Uber drivers never have change' how am I supposed to constantly have change when I'd pay tolls... Give exact change to riders... Anyway I always avoid hassling by giving 500 change when the trip is like 500+ to 700+ and I'm given 1k...... Most riders are surprised and eventually leave the 1k for me.... Doesn't always work tho.. But 7 outta 10 times it works. (for me tho)
