OkutaNla: Lol. You are a joker. Of course that doesn't apply here. Everybody and their mom knows Saraki is in town. Face it, he has lost a lot sympathy due to this ill-advised move of not appearing. It applies if the court deems it necessary that the case is too important or urgent to be adjourned. That he is in town is not applicable. He may even be sitting in front of the court building for all I care. This is a legal matter with serious consequences and not a public sympathy process. He is treading carefully just as he should. |

OkutaNla: Why can't he be magnanimous enough to show by example that instead of hiding behind his lawyer and rigmaroling, he as the number one lawmaker in the country has nothing to hide and is not above the law? You sound like his adviser, try and advice him properly next time. One thing after the other. You don't put the cart before the horse. The tribunal needs to properly conduct itself first. |

But since its not a formal proceeding, I believe your answer lies there. Friday's own was formal. |

joseph1832: Excuse me are you saying things are not being recorded? That proper proceedings are not being followed?
Saraki's lawyer was immensely grilled, the odds have started working against him. He can only so much as dilly dally, the machieviallian hammer will soon drop him his client. Yes. That's what I'm saying. This morning's section was not officially recorded as it was not a formal proceeding but mere exchange of legal arguments by representatives of the court. |

TonyeBarcanista: Gbam! See Atiku today, he can never be anything. Same with Olabode George and others! Except those did not hold the power Saraki is holding today. Saraki can scuttle any legislation Buhari brings and frustrate his goverment. |
Politics › Re: Saraki's CCB Trial Live On Channels TV by dialfa: 12:20pm On Sep 21, 2015 |
joseph1832: It is obvious that Saraki's lawyer is just dilly dallying, there's nothing much to say, I expect when the council resume, they should first address Saraki's gross disregard for the CCT by his refusal to appear even when he was told to do so today.
This is the time to let Nigerians know that the era of impunity has passed. Why did the court adjourn as soon as Saraki's lawyer proposed that they put things into record? Fear? |
Politics › Re: Saraki's CCB Trial Live On Channels TV by dialfa: 12:19pm On Sep 21, 2015 |
TonyeBarcanista: Saraki's tactic of evading issues to dwell on technicalities is a testament of his guilt. Quote me anywhere.
I swear, he's yet to hear the last of some of us. Why's can't the tribunal respect itself and do things properly? Is it a kangaroo tribunal with no sense? |
Politics › Re: Appeal Court Stops Saraki’s Arrest by dialfa: 12:15pm On Sep 21, 2015 |
honeric01: Is the highcourt higher than the CCB? That is yet to be decided. But the appeals court is higher than all of them and the case is now in the appeals court. The CCT should just respect the superior appeal court and suspend the case pending appeals court ruling. |

StOla: The question is why is Saraki now at the court of appeal if he felt the Federal High Court was superior to the CC Tribunal?
I don't have any problem with judicial hierarchy of the courts. It is obvious the many SANs employed by Saraki do not even know their jobs to begin with.
So it is just now they realised the federal high court is useless to their bid to overule any decision of the CC Tribunal?
Saraki has only evaded the arrest warrant, he must still show up in court as ordered. No, he won't. That court is illegal. Sitting while it has been asked to show cause before high court. Sitting while there's a pending appeal on its mandate. It was improperly mandated: needs a referal from CCB after saraki's denial, which didn't happen Incompletely constituted. Needs At least 3 "judges" one of which must be the chairman. There are only 2 of them. Why should Nigerian Senate President honour an illegal court? |
