Foreign Affairs / Re: Iran Rejects US Offers. by Dicado: 8:42am On Jan 31
To say that US military is broke and weak against any Arab world is a terrible joke. If you've studied the US for years, you'd see how they normally play very weak to deceive you into conflict then they wipe you out and do their will. It's called intelligence. Trump actually came to play the "Truth" part while "Biden" and others were/are playing "Lies" part.

Hamas used exactly US pattern to play unconcerned about starting a war such that even the great MOSSAD ignored their own solid intelligence concerning Hamas' 7 Oct. attack, siting that they lack the capability.

Just in Ukraine, Ukraine is trying to win territories, US is trying to kill as many Russian military personnel as much as possible to weaken their military efficiency especially in personnel, which of course they're doing it. They deceive Russians and all of us that weapons are arriving in Ukraine very late, to encourage the Russians to push their personnel into some areas and then they're surprised, weapons everywhere, many Russian troops dead. Lol...

Go and read some US ex soldiers comments on quora, the Pentagon is looking for very reasonable internationally accepted conflict that will serve as an excuse for them to destroy Iran's nuclear power.

Guess what, they're at it already.

If 80% of our oil was tied to loan, what about the 20%?

Secondly, why isn't PH refinery and others working as promised?

Thirdly, if Nigeria stubbornly refines its own crude without buying from the US or anywhere else, what will happen?

Foreign Affairs / Re: The US State Of Texas Summons The National Guard To Stage A Coup Against US Pres by Dicado: 9:32pm On Jan 29
This Texas threat is just as empty as a basket "filled with water". It's just a matter of time for the governor to either be impeached or lose to another.

A governor and his cabinet cannot move against the will of its people. As far as we all know, this is just a political battle where the Democrats want to use illegal immigrants to win election for Biden. However, Texas as a state won't be interested in moving away from the mighty US whom people are dreaming to join its NATO. And calling for a coup in the US is like pouring water into a large basket, because it will never be filled. There are nations that can actually suffer coup and it happens with the suffering of the masses. In fact, such a thing in the US can't exist. I think this governor is trying to impress Trump so that it will look ad if he's actually doing something about his emergence.

Who is advocating or suggesting that Nigeria should become an Islamic state?
Where did you get that?

Politics / Re: Nigeria And Our Relationship With The US And The West by Dicado: 7:41pm On Jan 28
Nigeria will never be an Islamic state. If you think we will dance to the tune of Boko haram operating as bandits in disguise and one day decide to Islamise Nigeria then you're dreaming. Egypt is an Islamic state, so are other Arab nations.

We need democracy and not some Jihad. If the US build their military base here, in fact, it will boost our economic morals and efficiency. There are many foreigners including Chinese and Russians that are very very very very desperately interested in working in Nigeria but insecurity and our honourable corrupt judiciary is what is keeping them away. Nobody can work in an environment where no true justice can prevail should something goes wrong.

Or can you go and invest in an unstable economy country filled with corrupt judiciary with full confidence of making any meaningful headway?

Look at the corruption going on in this administration where the FCT minister is still trying to control his home state.

Religion / Re: Should Church Music Instrumentalists Be Paid For Their Duties? by Dicado: 7:24pm On Jan 28
It's either you posted out of ignorance or bias mindset.

Pastors are paid for their services via tithes.

David was the initiator of paying men who service God. He separated the Levites from other houses and gave them a special duty to serve God on behalf of others. The Levites were the priests, musicians and carriers of the ark. The entire Israel's tithes were channelled to take care of the Levites since they were excluded from farming and other secular job duties.

Today, pastors who have selfish visions for themselves would turn this upside down. In fact, they'll tell you that the Levites are the pastors only. Lol! The Levites were not pastors, they were the religious priests and musicians of Israel. Most of these pastors don't want to spend on that sector in their church.

If paid instrumentalists were to be poor for receiving salary from church, then why aren't the paid instrumentalists of Christ Embassy poor?

Pastor Chris Oyakilome has empowered most of the richest gospel musicians we have in Nigeria. How many has the pastors who don't recognise that talented section of youths in their church raised to international gospel musician standards?

Secondly, if someone has decided to do a voluntary service as in the case of many instrumentalists, well, that's good for them but never you tie God's blessings to it. In fact, God has blessed you with your knowledge of music so that you will earn a living from it just exactly the same way that pastors are paid.

Let me just close this matter here with this, any person who is against payment for musicians in the church are a reflection of their total ignorance and narcissism.

[ kissquote author=reallifegospel post=128145758] Q&A: Should Church Music Instrumentalists be paid for their duties?

The controversy rages on about if or not, a music instrumentalist who plays for a Church (big or small) should be paid or not?

Church Instrumentalists are individuals who play music instruments during the worship services.
Such music instruments includes the piano, drums, guitars, trumpet, violin, etc, etc
Most Folks believe that if a Church is big and successful, they should try to financially support their instrumentalists.

In some cases, the instrumentalists themselves demand that they should be compensated financially or paid salaries for their duties.
Some instrumentalists claim that it takes a lot of sacrifices to be present and render their services to a church, especially if it's a mega church.
Some instrumentalists down tools when the church over extended periods of time do not compensate them financially.

So the big question is,
Should a music instrumentalist be paid for the services he/she renders to the Church?

I'll answer both with my personal experience and with what was said recently by Pastor David Ibiyieome (The Bishop of Salvation Ministries Worldwide).

I was a drummer and keyboard player during my younger days.
I played the music instruments for the church I was in at that time, I was always on time for church services and choir practice.
I didn't do it like I was doing the Church a favour, I did it diligently with love and joy, and honestly back then, I indeed saw God move in great and mighty ways in my life.

I didn't tax or bill the Churches I was in back then to play the music instruments for them, I didn't act high handed act as if I was doing the Church a favour by playing the music instruments, I just showed up on time during choir practice days, and during church services and I served with joy and gladness.

Occasionally, I'd get a few financial gifts here and there from some individuals, but I never had it in mind that I was collecting a salary or wage of some sort for my work and God is still blessing me till today for those services I rendered back then with joy and gladness.

Recently Pastor David Ibiyieome (the lead Pastor of Salvation Ministries Worldwide) made a statement that is worthy of note to all instrumentalists who insist that they must be paid for their services.

Pastor David's statement is what I'll call the hard truth style of saying what I just stated or gave example about above.

I won't tell you that insisting you must be paid for playing music instruments for a Church will condemn you to a lifetime of penury without remedy, but I will tell you that if you play music instruments for a Church without insisting that you must be paid, GOD almighty himself will make sure you're rewarded, and God's rewards are larger, better and more long lasting than you can ever phantom.

Render your playing of music instruments as a service to God and do it with joy and gladness. You won't regret it.

I repeat, you won't regret it!

Remain Blessed!

Q&A is a platform that addresses a few controversial issues among Christians and within the Church.

Foreign Affairs / Re: ICJ Orders Israel To Prevent Genocidal Acts In Gaza by Dicado: 6:04pm On Jan 27
Shame on UN court. Put yourself in the shoes of the Jews and you would do worse. Why didn't this court rule exactly same order on Russia on their genocide in Ukraine? Why this level of hate towards Israel?

Assuming Nigerian military had handled bandits "ignoring every prevention from some Islamic clerics", by now there would have been zero kidnappings in the north.

This people wants the same 7Oct, act to repeat in Israel. I support Israel.

Did this court rule anything against NATO for killing Gaddafi? No!

So, Israel please, clear out Hamas. Nothing will happen and besides, it's just a "South African" court rule. So, no need to take it any serious.
