Hello madam Radu, I have a catalyst converter issue P0420 , I will like fix a new one how much do you handle this project.

Also I have heard that using 02 spacer can fix this cheaply, is this something that will harm the car or recommended

So, I woke up with an issue as I have a decision to make. I have an hoNDA civic 2007 with no issues but then an offer to purchase an Acura Mdx 2003 came up. The acura is super clean and spotless but has a gearbox issue even though its drivable but could break down at any time. My civic just needs a new spray (40k) and maybe servicing of the front legs (not more than 14k).

The offer is to drop my civic and add a 100k for the acura owning to the fact that I would fix the gearbox issue myself (cost about 150k asides workmanship). Do u think it's a good idea or I should stick to my 2007 HoNDA Civic?

I will like to buy the Civic from you, how much last, can I see pix

A panel beater opened my rear exhaust pot/muffler and we saw that greater part of the perforated tube inside was in shreds.

He now cleared d mess and used an ordinary iron pipe to construct another tube inside the pot; he made holes all over the pipe to look like the damaged one. He welded it back again and neatly patched up the broken exhaust pot.

The car went firing perfectly, with lesser noise (no much noise before the work anyway) and great fuel efficiency.

But my worry is whether there could be some mechanical issues or dangers to this reconstructed internal tube. Should I go for a "new" rear exhaust pot/muffler?

Pleaase how is car still running, a panel beater give me the same condition. Said he can reconstruct my catalyst converter

My brother good things dont come cheap at all .. The Mobil 1 extended performance I sell for 17k is below market price.. I dont know how long I can keep selling at that price.. But at the same time I should be getting something abit cheaper than Mobil 1 soon, it is full synethic oil not as excellent as Mobil 1 ,but it will get the job done.. So please tune

Catalyst is losing its capacity to ensure exhaust gases are rid of NOx emmisions

solutions:

1. Replace catalyst with a new unit (expensive)
2. Use an Oxygen sensor apdator to fool the ECU (cheapest)
3. gut out catalyst (AND DO NOT PUT WIRE GAUZE INSIDE). Engine will sound louder

I really don't have much of a history, but a staff of a company I work for in ibadan owns the vehicle, and for almost 1 year he has been asking me to take a look at the car and I have been avoiding him.

Finally he said he wanted to scrap the car for any amount and I said he should halt, Tow the car to the workshop and I will fix it.

car does not start, it's been in and out of a lot of kazeem workshops. Electrical and mechanical issues, I have never seen the car physically I do not know what I am up against.

cleaned sockets and coupled back together and the fuel gauge that was empty became full tank!

The battery light that was normal, started illuminating with the engine running
