Investment / Re: Goldman Sachs Suddenly Issued A Crypto Price Warning After Huge Bitcoin Crash by dictbennie(m): 9:31pm On Jan 29, 2022
FreeStuffsNG:
Mad man says "sense comes hour by hour".

Cryptocurrency itself is a fraud, Ponzi and financial mania.

It's monkey business cool
CBN is right, there's no stable coin anywhere It's all fraud!
https://www.theverge.com/2021/10/15/22728253/tether-41-million-misleading-statements-fiat-currency-bitfinex-cftc

International fraudsters and scammers are feeding fat on the ignorance and greed of cunny sense folks cool

CBN should go extra step to protect our economy against the cryptocurrency fraud.
The banks are still enabling this fraud called cryptocurrency and the CBN can't continue to watch international fraudsters ruin our citizens.

In case you do not know what Monkey Business is all about; Now read this so you will know that Cryptocurrency is a monkey business fraud :
************
A lot of monkeys lived near a village.

One day a merchant came to the village to buy the monkeys.

He announced that he would buy the monkeys for £100 each.

The villagers thought he was mad.

They thought how can somebody buy stray monkeys for £100 each?

Still, some people caught a few monkeys and gave them to the merchant and he gave them £100 for each monkey.

This news spread like wildfire and more people caught more monkeys to sell to the merchant.

After a few days, the merchant announced that he would buy monkeys for £200 each.

Even the lazy villagers now ran around to catch the remaining monkeys and sold them for £200 each.

Then the merchant announced that he will buy monkeys for £500 each.

The villagers started to lose sleep! They caught six or seven monkeys, which was all that was left, and got £500 for each one.

The villagers were waiting anxiously for the next announcement.

Then the merchant said he was going home for a week and when he returned he would buy monkeys for £1,000 each.

He asked his employee to take care of the monkeys he bought.

The merchant went home and the villagers were very sad as there were no more monkeys left for them to sell at £1,000 each.

Then the employee told them he will secretly sell them monkeys for £700 each.

This news spread like wildfire. Since the merchant will buy monkeys for £1,000 each, there is a £300 profit for each monkey.

The next day the villagers made a queue near the monkey cage.

The employee sold all the monkeys for £700 each. The rich bought monkeys in big lots. The poor borrowed money from money lenders and also bought monkeys.

The villagers took care of the monkeys and waited for the merchant to return.

But nobody came.
They ran to the employee, but he had already left too.

The villagers then realised that they had bought the valueless stray monkeys for £700 each and were unable to sell them.

Beware of Monkey Businesses

Real Businesses are always based on Real Products and Services; any profit that comes cheap has a question mark. For instance, invest #2m today and get #4m in 30days. You will get the first month, second month, with the urge to make more money, you invest both the interest and principal into the 3rd month. That's when they vacate.

No more monkeys business this year....

Nice and sweet promises are calculated for u which look wonderful on paper but a mirage in reality.

invest wisely

Again never engage in any form of Monkey Business in "2022".

Remain blessed and shine your eyes!!!

#copied.

Load of rubbish. So, the stock market too is ponzi? It's better to stay clear topics you don't know about.

Business / Re: Funds In My Brother's Bank Account Was Wiped Off by dictbennie(m): 12:19pm On Jan 15, 2022
Desammyst:
Good day, everyone. I lost my brother's Polaris bank ATM Card last month. He didn't bother to go and block it in the bank, and went for his military service in Borno state.

He came back this month and this afternoon, he received debit alerts on his phone, as a result of the lost ATM card. When I came home this evening and he showed me the alerts, I discovered that prior to the debit alert, he had received message requesting for OTP five times. I was dumbfounded and till now I can't grasp how it happened.

Does it mean someone's money can be wiped off without OTP?

What happens to bank security? Because if someone doesn't send OTP, isn't the person safe.

Is there anyway the funds can be retrieved.
Please, help a brother. My family is pained embarassed cry

Tell your brother to go to his bank to log a fraud chargeback. He could get his money back.

Forget Mask, Nigeria govt always act like idiots without shame. Who talks about masks now. Manchester United stadium filled up with over 72k maskless fans. And so was all stadiums in all leagues. So why should we still be dwelling in the past?

Why can't the govt for once follow the pace at which the world is going?
The money those criminals said they spent and will still spend on this Covid brouhaha will had vaccinated almost 80 percent of nigerians, and we move like the rest of the world.
You and I know nigeria was the least hit by Covid, yet instead of planning ahead positively once the vaccines are out, they were just thinking how to steal more thereby frustrating and causing problems for the masses.

Everybody in the stadium was tested bro. Tests are now done in 5 minutes. You see whites ehn, they're 1 million steps ahead of us. They've found a way around the virus. Normal life continues.

The Federal government has nothing to lose. Twitter is losing revenue and that’s why they are willing to meet the conditions given to them by Federal government.

They will register in Nigeria as a business entity, open office in Nigeria, pay tax in Nigeria, subject their operation to NCC regulation and respect the sovereignty of Nigeria. That’s all we ask for.

No matter how you wailers try to spin this, it’s a big win for the Federal Republic of Nigeria and hopefully, other countries will learn how to curb the tyranny of big techs from Nigeria.

Have you seen their Q1 earnings? A company that made 28% increase compared to last year? You people overrate yourselves. That's an excerpt of the press release by their CFO.

"Q1 was a solid start to 2021, with total revenue of $1.04 billion up 28% year-over-year, reflecting accelerating year-over-year growth in MAP revenue and brand advertising that improved throughout the quarter,” said Ned Segal, Twitter's CFO.

Slow and steady sane and good Nigerians will get to a country that we deserve.

God bless Nigeria.

Reminiscent time.......

“ But now that the borders have been reopened now and we need to block the porosity of that border
*They said we are the poverty capital of the world. Our President decided that we should just close our poverty stricken borders to the outside world so that we can manage on our own. Suddenly, scarcity hits Benin republic, Togo, Niger. Demonstration hits Ghana. Vietnam, Thailand and other envoys all came calling.*
*Their economy depends on our poverty. They are begging the most corrupt nation on Earth to do business with them. They have no buyers for their commodity. In our neighbors domain, scarcity have hit them hard.*

It turned out they need us more than we need them. We have all it takes to stand alone as a nation. All we need is a plan and a willing leader.
God bless Nigeria*

Total gibberish. What did we achieve during the closure? Inflation and high prices of food and other commodities! No sane country with a reasonable leader would close her borders when it's not self sufficient. It was a wasted effort, instead of the outright closure, the government ought to have put modalities in place to address the issues identified by strict monitoring of her borders.

It is still the same. The allegations against Diezani are also hearsay. I'm in no way defending her but we have to be subjective when issues like this come up rather than showing your bias probably due to tribe or party affiliations.

It was an extremely silly allegation to start with. What is shocking is how so many people believed without fact checking. How can an individual move half of CBN to the Uk in the 70’s? How?

Anyway, we need the UK MP to tell us how much Diezani moved to London. We can’t afford to wait for another 45 years before they tell us the truth. While at it, they can start the sanction thing with her. Revoke her visa and send her back to Nigeria. That’s the best way to show sincerity of purpose.

Just see how silly you sound. You're quick to believe Gowon didn't steal despite the heavy allegation by the MP but quick to call Diezani who is being investigated and has not been convicted of any crime. I wonder how you people sleep at night with your bias.

Politics / Re: Breaking: Onnoghen Loses At The Appeal Court. by dictbennie(m): 2:13pm On May 10, 2019
The Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal on Friday struck out an appeal by the ex-Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen, challenging an ex parte order of the Code of Conduct Tribunal issued on January 23, 2019, for his suspension from office pending his trial before the tribunal.

In a unanimous judgment by the three-man bench led by Justice Stephen Adah, the Court of Appeal, however, ruled that the CCT’s ex parte order breached the ex-CJN’s right to fair hearing.

Justice Adah, who read the lead judgment, noted that the court proceedings ought not to be conducted “in a shady or clandestine maneuver” as manner in which the ex parte order was obtained by the prosecution.

He, however, struck out the matter on the grounds that the substantive matter had been concluded by the CCT, which ended in the ex-CJN’s conviction on charges of false and non-declaration of assets.

President Muhammadu Buhari had, on the strength of the ex parte order, suspended Onnoghen from office on January 25.
